My son is in first grade and he's currently reading at a Second grade level most likely by the end of the year he will be able to read a third-grade level. If one of your major concerns is the school systems in Nevada I would definitely recommend Pinecrest Academy. They have multiple campuses know and are opening up a high school. Today was the honors assembly and I would say about half of the k-2 received the award.

Mr. Franklin then blocked the car of the students so they were not able to leave and held them on campus even after information was provided for then. The students then told them they had places to be and he then stated he didn't care and that they can wait there longer in the heat as well. Castro was then told how disrespectful the security guard was and then ignored it and brought up a incident last year as an excuse that was already taken care of. As a Vegas native who also went to Clark County School District schools growing up, despite what everyone says about the ratings, I am proud to let my kids be part of CCSD. There are so many incredible teachers, staff members, and schools that truly care about the children and families they serve. One of our favorite parts every year is their annual multicultural event. It is always so well organized, fun, and meaningful. We love seeing all of the different cultures, performances, food, and activities that bring the families and community together. It is such a beautiful way to celebrate diversity and make every child feel included and proud of who they are. Thank you to all of the teachers and staff for everything you do for the students and families. We are so grateful to be part of such an amazing school community!

I Went to one of the CCSD Dream meetings and spoke to Joan who pawned me off one someone else and that person said they would take care of the situation and make sure students are only having 20 minutes a day. 20 minutes of iPad is too much for a kid. Hell anytime on iPad is. That's why Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg kept their kids away from an iPad and phone - they destroy minds! That school also only gives 15 minutes of recess!

My child is somewhat awkward like most preteens and has been hurt by the very unkind words of peers. Always the teacher involves the vice principle who speaks to both students and follows up with me afterward. Administration leaves classroom issues to the teachers at Coral and if they do address a situation they do not attempt to notify the student victim or their parent to "protect the other family's privacy." The teachers that we had at both schools were GREAT (6th grade teachers at Coral and 7th grade teachers at Pinecrest.) No complaints there. Administration is more communicative and helpful at Pinecrest.
