After I picked up the glasses, I kept seeing double and my eyes never adjusted. I took them back in and they checked my prescription and also my old glasses, and Dr. Beals also checked everything even though she didn't write the prescription. It turned out there was a mistake in the prescription so I had to go back to my optometrist to get it changed. When the new glasses came in, Dr. Beals and the staff checked them again and made sure they were right. All at no extra charge! After trying them I decided to see a cateract Dr I was told that I needed surgery in both eyes. When I tried to return the contacts they refused saying it was their POLICY to not accept them after 3 months. The package says that they are good until 2031 I'm out $200! I didn't notice right away, but what I did see isn't good and after multiple occurrences I have to assume corporate is driving some inscrutable practices. WATCH YOUR RECEIPTS! On 3 occasions they have added a supposedly optional EYEWARE PROTECTION charge and never explained what it is or how to use it. We always decline it. We usually pay for our glasses out of our FSA account. When they stick on this protection it gets rejected by our FSA account and it causes our account to get frozen until we send a check to the account management to cover that charge. They have done this to us twice. This time after losing a pair of reading glasses I called and asked for replacements. I asked for exactly what I had on my previous visit. After not hearing for 3 weeks, I called and was told they weren't in yet and they would call me. They called me 20 minutes later saying, "They just came in today" I went and picked them up. I told the I was using my FSA card. When I got home I saw a $30 charge for the supposedly optional coverage that they didn't tell me they added, despite me telling them to duplicate my previous order which didn't have it. We have told them repeatedly the problem is causes so I didn't think to look till I got home, Fortunately they did void the entire bill and re-enter without the additional charge by phone. I'll see how this works out.

Waiting area: Clean. Organized. Cozy. Properly spaced for social distancing. Waited for about 3 minutes after check-in to be seen (mind you, I was also about 5 minutes late to my appointment - never underestimate Pickerington traffic!) Pre-exam imaging: normal exam (including the air in eye part). During this exam, I could overhear their team being extremely patient with a kiddo who was scared of the machines. I was impressed to hear the methods they used to calm the kiddo, build trust, and help the kiddos through their exam. I would say this place is kid friendly and they give lollipops post exam! With doctor: Dr. Pipo had a booming personality. He was energetic, kind, and really reviewed my case prior to examining me further. You know when docs ask "which is better? One or two?" And you can't tell the difference? He actually explained what the differences were while determining which corrections were needed for my eyes. Post exam: Laura (specialist) helped me with selecting my glasses. I told her the style I typically like and she brought ~10 pairs to try (which all met my preference along with a few fun frames). She helped me narrow the frames down and was extremely patient with me. 30-mins later, I picked the frames that we both agreed- totally matched me and my personality. After selecting the frames she helped me to assess the appropriate additions to make for my lenses and explain insurance coverage. Jessica (front desk) helped me with selecting the appropriate contacts covered by insurance. Overall- Fantastic staff. Fantastic facility. I look forward to meeting my new frames and going back again for my annual in 2022.

The service, experiences, expertise and care has been exceptional every year under each doctor. The support staff has also been excellent. In recent years I see a LOT of new faces but again, the experience is flawless. The only piece of feedback when I do call to order lenses is I get asked what I wear and typically when I call I'm at work (hey gang..... you're in front of your system and my records - help me out... ;) ) Yesterday's wait time was a bit delayed again, not by much. Maybe 10 minutes delayed in what...16 years? I'll take it. My fiance goes to PVC now and he too has great experiences with the staff. I used to be so specific only seeing one doctor and over the years you let it go and I've seem a majority of them whenever something would happen and I needed immediate care. ALL of them are very reasonable and very much partner with you on care for your eyes. I trust my care with any of them. Huge huge fan of Professional VisionCare. They were over $1000 and I was told I would get a $300 rebate from Acuvue. I tried to get the rebate from Acuvue and had difficulty. Acuvue has no contact numbers or email. I contacted Professional Vision Care and they were not helpful. At this point I contacted the Better Business Bureau and am will be contacting one of the news channels for assistance. To reiterate, do not go to this Business!

I had great hopes for this Eye Care practice but have been very disappointed. My first visit more…read morethan a year ago went well enough.... So this year I brought my wife. This year has been a nightmare. I was assigned an appointment with Dr Hammond for glasses and contact lenses. During the exam, I asked for a glasses prescription for normal progressive lenses, and also a glasses prescription for 'computer' glasses which are simply progressives optimized for 36 inch viewing distance. I've had other eye care providers accommodate that request without hesitation. But not Dr Hammond. She flatly stated "No, I don't do that." Confused, I tried to clarify, at which point she became visibly agitated and curt. She said that "isn't how she works" and that the lab making the glasses could just adjust my prescription to make me computer classes. Wow. Never had an eye doctor express any concern with that request, and in fact a doctor at one of the chain eyecare places is the one who suggested it initially years ago. Then came the contacts. Here I asked for three lenses. Basically a far/near split contacts prescription and a third lens prescription for my right eye so I could swap out the near vision contact and wear far/far contacts in certain situations. She agreed, and wrote two prescriptions, but the office is refusing to provide a signed copy of the second prescription. Keep in mind this is a service I PAID FOR... so it's not like I'm asking for a favor. As an over 50 diabetic, I have special concerns regarding eyecare. Had high hopes for Comprehensive Eyecare of Central Ohio, but am beyond frustrated, moving toward disgust. So now my only recourse is to warn others via reviews on as many platforms as possible. TLDR: Go somewhere, anywhere, else!!! You'll avoid paying good money for curt attitudes and broken promises.
