The ambiance was great but the food lacked! We all tried the smoked marlin tacos and were disappointed. Also the batter on the fried fish tacos was flavorless. The toppings bar was pretty cool until I discovered dead flies inside of there, literally inside of the spicy mayo floating. They had brought my cousin a michelada and the server opened the beer before arriving to the table when my cousin went to pour the beer guess what...a dead fly came pouring out. We may have enjoyed the food more if we weren't infested with ugh flies, it made our food unenjoyable and I felt sick. Also worst margarita that I've ever had. We've enjoyed most of the food in La Paz and we're looking forward to fish tacos but this was not it! read more

Smoked marlin was delicious. And the crunch shrimp. I think only the bartered shrimp one my partner didn't enjoy (very thick batter). Truly the best fish tacos I've ever had in my 31 years living on this earth! Haha. I give major props to the chef for cooking the battered fish to perfection! Very soft Oh the salad bar has a buffet of options to choose from. Not to mention that all the food here is big portions. When I was here on a Saturday they had live music. You add the sauce and condiments yourself at the self serving salsa bar, so you can customize them to your liking. The aguachile tostada was also yummy. Best fish tacos we've had in La Paz. Their spicy octopus tacos are on point. Prices are great, tacos are delicious and many different options, and they have a booth of peppers and different condiments you can put on your plate. Tip: get the flour tortilla or 2 corn tortillas as the corn tortillas break more easily. This has become a local favourite! read more

while visiting Malecon, we found this hidden gem with delicious food, great service and affordable prices. The restaurant is open air and clean. their restrooms are clean and they have a play area for kids. We came here for a late lunch and not plenty of customers but by the time we left, they are almost full. The menu has plenty to offer and we ordered crunchy shrimp taco, marlin taco, pulpo taco, grilled shrimp taco, shrimp,& octopus cocktal, chips & guacomole. for drinks we had jamaica and michelada. my wife like the jamaica that she had to get another one but the michelada was alright. However, the food we had are all 5 star. the guacomole were freshly made and you can taste that the shrimp and octopus were fresh. For all the items that we ordered, it was pretty decent however there's no option to add tips on your bill if you are paying credit card and luckily we har cash to leave for tips for a wonderful experience. Great tacos, great little buffet with vegetable sides, friendly people. Really delicious and cheap prices in a semi-outdoors setting on the sleepier west end of the malecón, with plastic tables and chairs. Great tacos and ceviche, generous portions, mostly Mexican clientele, friendly staff. If you want a great meal in La Paz at a place that isn't boringly catering to foreigners, you won't regret it. Really my only gripe is that they were unexpectedly closing up early so we felt a bit rushed out. Will be back! read more

Very good tacos here! If you don't like it, it means you either ordered the wrong thing or messed up at the salsa bar, there's something for everybody here. The real standout in my opinion was the smoked marlin - great flavor that I didn't find in any other places. The salsa bar was key and I appreciated the safety measures they had to help prevent contamination. Onion rings sucked, but I should have expected that. The fried fish tacos used the same batter so I recommend you go for the crunchy fish instead. read more

Local taco, fish place one block back from the Malacon. All outdoors but nice and snappy and good breeze with lots of fans. Food was great and the place is frequented mainly by locals which tells you the food is good. Lots of different taco choices with a do it yourself toppings bar. Tacos average around 35 pesos. Also my favorite - Mexican version Coke served in bottles! They also have a kids play area in the back with swings and juggle gym! Speaking is just Spanish here but you can get by with a couple folks here. read more

These are the best fish tacos I've ever had and I am craving them at the moment so I thought I'd write a review. Service is so friendly and good here. We ended up dining multiple times during our stay because of the food and service. I loved the grilled fish tacos, the crispy, and the crunchy fish tacos. Their shrimp cocktail was delicious and so was their salad and guacamole. Beautiful view of the ocean and sunsets in the evening and I liked being able to watch the kids at the skatepark while we ate. The toppings bar was always stocked and loaded with deliciousness, that slaw makes or breaks a fish taco for me, and they had two delicious options to choose from, tons of salsas and hot sauce, cucumbers, grilled veg, and more! The fish tacos come plain and you have to select your condiments from a condiment bar. It took forever to get the check. I finally had to ask for it. It brings me shame just to type the phrase "I have a complicated relationship with onion rings", but alas, the truth can not be shamed away: I have a complicated relationship with onion rings. I never order them as a side or appetizer, as they either come too soggy (in which case they're an inedible mess) or too fried (in which case the grease overpowers the tang of the onion, as well as my stomach's fragile lining). I must have been in tune with a higher plane when I ordered onion rings at Claro Fish Jr. It's completely out of my character to do, but it was one of the first things I decided on from the extensive menu. And lo and behold, my latent psychic abilities sniffed out The Perfect Onion Rings. Lightly battered, crispy but soft on the inside, satisfyingly greasy but not sickeningly so... I thought they didn't exist, yet just next to La Paz's deep blue bay, these golden wonders brought me back three days in a row. Well, those and the generously sized tacos - I tried the octopus, grilled fish, stingray (!), and shrimp, all of them fresh - along with a salsa and condiments bar with anything your heart desires and more. Oh, and if you're into capital-S Spicy, not only do their salsas and table hot sauces pack a legitimate punch, but their jalapeño margarita beats any other "hot" drink I've had. First off I have never left a review but had to leave this one. I recently moved to La Paz and found this place and wow this is the best tacos I have had since I got here just under a month. I ordered 3 fish tacos plancha (grilled) there was so much fish on them I could not pick the up. The salsa bar has everything you can think of and way more. Every other place I have been I can eat three tacos no problem here I had to struggle to finish then. And the beer is the coldest in town. They have a new regular To put it in one word awesome.
