    Taro Milk Tea with boba...
    VeraChris N.

ATTENTION!!! THIS CLASS 302 IN DOWNEY **IS NOT** LIKE THE CLASS 302 IN CERRITOS! There is no shaved ice, there are no waffles, and Downey is self-serve drinks while Cerritos makes the drinks for you. Their food menus differ, as well. With that being said, this Class 302 is closer to my house, so it's frequented more. I probably would have made this a 5 star review, but I haven't tried enough of their food or drinks to make a sound judgement. While I can tolerate spicy foods, in my day and age now, spicy foods aren't a good look for me sometimes. I like how I can opt out of the spice here. I've had the Pork Bone Noodle soup and the Miso Udon soup, both are delicious. They both come spicy and in different degrees of spicy, but, again, I opt out of the spice. Their popcorn chicken also comes in different degrees of spicy, and I've tried the no-spice, and 1st degree (??) level of spicy. The popcorn chicken does have a distinct flavor to it, maybe it's Chinese 5 spice (?), I'm not sure. It took some getting used to, but my twins love the popcorn chicken from here. The fried basil they add to it is a nice touch of flavor. I'd probably choose the fried pork chop over the popcorn chicken, flavor wise. The pork chop is topped with cilantro and served with their house made sweet chili sauce. I guess the secret to their self-serve drinks is to use to slushes in lieu of the ice so that your drink isn't watered down. Now, there are instructions on how to self-serve your drinks here: *Order the size of drink you'd like (small, medium, or large). *Ask for a sample cup if you're not sure what to get. *Add your boba and other fillings first (fruit, egg tart, popping boba, lychee jelly, Oreo crumbs, etc.) *Choose your drink combinations and fill your cup carefully. *If you're gonna add toppings after you fill your cup with your drink, leave some space for said topping. *If there's some overflow of your drink, you might be asked to drink some of your drink or it will be poured out into a sample cup. Your drink can't seal properly if it's not flush with the top of the cup. *You might have to wait a minute for your cup to be sealed because Other Patrons. I always add one scoop of boba, and have tried the following combinations: *Coconut Slush-Ube Slush-Coconut Slush-Lychee Jelly *Coconut Slush-Pineapple Passion Slush-Lychee Jelly *Coconut Slush-Mango Berry-Pineapple Passion-Lychee Jelly *Pineapple Passion-Hisbiscus Tea *Coconut Slush-Thai Tea My twins choose a combination of the Strawberry Cream Slush, Horchata Slush, and Coconut Slush. They'll add Oreo cookie crumbles sometimes, too. I'm a fan of Jasmine Milk Tea, but when I tried it here, it wasn't Jasmine'ing like I'm used to, so I don't get it here. There's a good mix of ages/generations, families vs. couples vs. friend groups vs. solo diners, and while it can get packed it doesn't last for long. I've Shazam'd some music here so the playlists are pretty good. We're always greeted with a "Hi, Welcome!" when we walk thru the doors, so staff is pretty cool. Oh, the door can be heavy to open because of the AC on. We've always had some seats to sit on whilst waiting for our food to-go. Parking close by is a usual occurrence, but this shop is nestled in a very busy shopping/restaurant center.

A couple days local means I'm back at Class 302. Absolutely a must for me to get a drink and decided to get some popcorn chicken to finish it off. Decent service today, and very busy!

Drinks: I got the Jasmine Milk Tea and it was sweet but really yummy. They have a ton of drink options and toppings, and it's self-serve which makes it fun to customize. They let you taste test the flavors before you decide, which is a nice touch. There's also food but I have yet to get the chance to try it. Service: The workers here are super friendly and conversational. I honestly enjoyed my time because of how chill and welcoming the staff was. They also seem to get along well with each other, which adds to the good vibe of the place. Ambiance: The shop is super clean and bright, with some seating available. It's definitely a popular spot, and it's easy to see why. Just a heads-up, Apple Maps says they close at 11pm, but they actually close at 10pm. So don't get upset with the staff for that if you come past 10pm!

It's rare to find a self-serve boba place nowadays, so I was looking forward to trying it! On a Saturday night, all the seating was full, but we had no issue getting around to our drinks. You pay for a certain size and are free to add anything you want (WOOO for unlimited toppings). It was such a fun experience to try all the flavors and choose from the variety of toppings. The boba was the perfect chewiness and sweetness. My only wish was that they had an option for unsweetened tea so that I could dilute some of the sweetness. Everything is pre-sweetened, and it was just a bit sweeter for my taste. This place is great if you're a fan of toppings, but not if you're looking for high-quality tea. For the reasonable price and unlimited toppings, I say Class 302 is worth a try!

The food here was surprisingly good. I really enjoyed the beef noodle soup and the taiwanese sausage. The noodles had good texture, the beef was tender, and the soup was very flavorful. I would definitely get it again. I wasn't the biggest fan of the pineapple curry fried rice. Maybe next time i'll try a different kind of fried rice. The staff was helpful and nice. I didn't get to try their drinks this visit, but I think i'll try them next time I visit

They have an amazing selection milk tea, tea, and smoothies. It is cool you could create your own drink. They have sample cups for you to try before you commit to a drink. You pay for the size of the cup and add as much topping as you want in your drink. My favorite is the Jasmine milk tea and milk tea. Their drinks are on the sweeter side, I am usually a 75% sweetness or less sweet person. So I love that you could ask them to add unsweetened green tea to balance out the sweetness. Their boba is a good chewy texture, just how I like it. Their food is good too. My usual is the pineapple curry fried rice and bbq chicken. Their popcorn chicken is a great choice as a snack.

I ordered the beef noodle soup and I was disappointed it came out in a plastic bowl. I wanted to eat in for the restaurant experience and eating with plastic made my experience feel very cheap. The soup was way too salty. I went to a different location in the past and had a much more pleasant experience. Definitely not coming back.

This place was fun and cute! You get to pay for the cup size and then can try all the teas and toppings before deciding what to put in your cup!! I really liked this experience as it was super unique. Only thing is the sweetness level is not adjustable. Service is nice and friendly.

Ok, we might just be idiots for not realizing that this is mostly a boba shop. They don't even have shaved snow - a sign near the register says that they stopped serving it in 2020, and pretty much everyone in the restaurant had boba - which we did not get. We got the popcorn chicken and fried rice combo, and the fried pork chop and house noodle soup. I asked for mild on the chicken, but it was so spicy I couldn't eat it. I actually asked them to remake it and the girl at there counter said they'd make it plain (she was nice about it). But I think they just replaced the spice with salt because it was really salty! The fried rice was greasy but reasonably tasty - it had little bits of crunchy salty pickled daikon in it, which I'd never had but was delicious! Bonus - it came with one piece of broccoli, so there was at least some veggie in my meal. Pork chop was boneless and decent. SO said the soup was not authentic. Overall, 3 stars.

Due to my deep disappointment at my last visit 6 years ago, I had not returned. But I figured 6 years is a long time, maybe things have drastically changed. I was sadly disappointed and mistaken. The fried rice was just as tasteless and salty, and the fried pork chop was just as greasy and paltry. The boba was still huge and decent. My recommendation is to skip the food and go straight to the self-assembled boba mix.

There was no description on the kiosk as to what was in the drink, so I asked the gentleman inside what was in the drink. He seemed a little flustered and too busy, answering my question as he was doing something. As I continued to order, I saw him leave. It looked like he went out to grab some supplies. I completed my order and continued to wait. Five, 10 minutes passed by and I went to go check on my drink. Still there was no one inside. My husband had to go there and wait for someone to come back and was asking where my order was. When the gentleman came back, he seemed rude and gave my husband an attitude saying, "I know, I know." I think it is a little unprofessional to not be fully stocked, when you open at 11:30 AM and it's already been a few hours past and still you don't have any supplies. I enjoyed the drink, but my husband and I didn't really like the texture of the boba. We felt like it could have been a little softer in texture. It seemed a little chewy to. This place is located inside the Steelcraft in Bellflower. It's a great place to sit and watch games and enjoy the other foods they have here. Plenty of seats and benches.
