The fried rice is unassuming but the flavor packed a punch the green sauce with it so good. The pho perfectly light and savory. Not overly salty tasting which I appreciate! This place has quickly become our favorite place for Pho in the area. We've tried several of their pho bowls: chicken, shrimp, rib bones, and oxtail. They don't miss! My favorite has been the oxtail, though I wish the oxtail was meatier. The broth is delicious to use and their portions are great. They also have some great appetizers and their shaky beef plate is also really good. We also like their horchata drink. Unique and delicious! Also, make sure to request their chili paste! They have great service, super attentive and friendly. You pay up at the front after you're done. It's a simple place, not much decor. But they got all the flavors so it's fine. I've been to the soup shops in Cerritos and Irvine and really enjoyed the pho there, but this location really misses the mark. We came on a Saturday night with only three parties ahead of us, which is nothing compared to Cerritos. First, the menu is smaller. They don't offer the garlic noodles! So we both ordered the ribeye pho. After waiting at least 20 minutes, our bowls came out with noodles hanging over the edge, looking sloppy and rushed. The noodles inside the soup were clumpy. We came here on a Saturday evening - being located in a big plaza, there was plenty of parking, the restaurant had a few tables occupied and so getting seated was easy. We come to soup shop pretty often & we usually love it! The environment is nice, the food is always so yummy! However our last 2 times going there was a girl there, didn't get her name, but she has copper orangeish hair, she wasn't nice at all. I raised my hand to ask for something and she looked right at me and walked away, I then got up to go ask someone for something and she happened to be the person who came out of the kitchen first so I was going to ask her and she looked at me and walked back into the kitchen. A different girl came out and she helped me, I was just looking to get utensils, something so simple but it's been 2 times that we go and that same girl is there and she's not helpful, not approachable, not nice. Food was okay...How it makes sense that you get one bowl of soup after 3 parties who arrived after you get full tables of food? I'm not sure. The broth at this location is muddy and opaque, as if they didn't blanch the meat/bones or let the meats cook too long in there. If it was tasty, I don't mind, but it tasted like they let the raw ribeye's blood leech into the soup much..maybe they just threw on bloody meat and made the broth too colored? Also the broth temperature is kinda not steamy. I think they get their noodle straight from the fridge almost as it came in a big ass chunk all clumped together. The bean sprouts were also straight from the fridge as it was cold. My broth was okay warm after adding the garnishes. 4 pieces of brisket and ribeye each, good amount of tendon (delicious here), and only a bit of tripe. The basil could be fresher as it had dried ends, maybe sitting for too long in the fridge. We only waiting for about 5 min. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive even with the packed restaurant. We had never been here before and when we walked in, we were pretty impressed with how aesthetically cute the place is. It's actually a pretty restaurant to sit and have your meal. I thought this was more of a fast food kind of vibe from the outside. The parking can be a little tricky just because of the rest of the businesses but it's not too bad. They do not have the biggest menu, I wish they had more appetizers and more soup options, but their broth is amazing so I keep going back. I really like Soup Shop! I've dined in and ordered take out on many occasions. I have a Pho loving child so this place is one of our go-to's. The Pho has broccoli which is different but we enjoy that. I also really like the shaken filet mignon. The staff is very friendly and they have been very accommodating to my young children. Response to Owner Your reply is misleading and does not reflect what actually happened. I did check in, waited, and was seated by a staff member. I did not force myself to sit down. If seating was restricted due to capacity, I should never have been seated in the first place. After I was already seated with staff approval, the manager came over and demanded that I leave immediately. When I calmly offered to re-order as dine-in and fully follow your rules, that reasonable solution was refused, and I was instead yelled at to leave. This shows the issue was not a clear or consistently enforced policy, but a decision made after I was already allowed to sit. If a policy exists, it must be applied before seating, not enforced aggressively afterward. Saying this was "based solely on fairness and capacity" does not align with the actual sequence of events. Customers are not responsible for internal miscommunication between staff and management. I stand by my review. read more

Different flavor and different color. The ribeye I received was hard, dry and completely overcooked. I'm pretty sure I received less noodles than usual because I can never finish them but almost did finish them last night! They've remodeled in recent months but that seemed to come with worsening customer service unfortunately. This is very noticeable each visit. We are hopeful this is a long transition period. This place has really good food. This is my go-to spot for pho. The food is great eating in or taking out and eating at home. I've now had everything on the menu- it's all pretty good. Right now, my favorite is the ribeye. The service is lacking. My order is wrong more often than it is correct. There's never been an instance where the issue isn't resolved, but especially when taking to go, missing items or completely wrong items are frequent.
