I don't normally write reviews but I have to give credit where it's due. As someone who is in the auto accident law industry, I used to recommend clients to go through their insurance recommendations, however, having been in an accident myself, I was recommend to Spectrum Collision through Issac at Irvine BMW as I wanted to make sure the body shop was BMW certified. I can safely say, I will always recommend Spectrum Collision to any one of my clients and to family and friends. Everyone from Pedro to Collin have been welcoming and kind especially Alvin who was my point of contact. He was very thorough and made sure my experience with them was exceptional. He updated me as updates came to him and went above and beyond to make sure every part was accounted for as the extent of the damage was not noticeable to the naked eye. Alvin had also let me know prior to bringing my car in that there may be an out of pocket fee in addition to my deductible as he noticed discrepancies in geico's preliminary estimate. This did scare me a little, however, I will always value the transparency/quality over the cost. He was able to negotiate with Geico and get them to pay for all new parts. I had a fender bender with my brand new 2020 Tesla Model 3 (700 miles) where I was not at fault. My passenger side door was damaged and I understood since this was a Tesla, I could take a couple months. There were delays but they wanted to make sure everything was right. When I received the car back, there were major gaps in the front headlight, B panel door area, and rear turning lights. And the paint was damaged: swirls everywhere, water stains, scratches. I wasn't pleased with the condition of the car, but Ed (the owner) personally called me and understood my concerns and vowed to make everything right. They took the car back and were great. They polished and cleaned the car to perfection and fixed all the gaps. They truly do care about doing a good job. I recommend this place! read more

Just spoke to Bill Price at Spectrum Collision. I was trying to get my car fixed after a bad accident, was referred here so I dropped the car off to get an estimate. They sent me a contract for $3000 to pay for the estimate and would not touch the car if I didn't sign, when I questioned why I needed to sign a document I was met with hostility from Bill Price. I didn't want to sign something saying it would cost me $3000 just to get an estimate. When I talked to Bill Price he said just sing it or go somewhere else, completely unprofessional and quite honestly rude. I asked him to show me in the contract where it said I would not be liable for that amount if I decide to take my car somewhere else and he couldn't. He told me to read it myself and either sign it or pick up my car. He then started insulting me and calling me names and finally hanging up on me. What an unprofessional person, don't work in the service industry if you cant handle people. If you want people to sign something know the details about your own contract. Something bad is going on there otherwise why would he respond like that. Now I have to take my car somewhere else. But I'm glad that I will not do business there. Car was gone for 4 months as this shop wrestled with State Farm to get adjusters out for change orders and approvals. Fortunately I bought another car 2 months ago. They do good work. I have a 2021 7 series.. not bragging as it's a lease but it's a $100k+ car and they are BMW certified. Lady sideswiped me good and they even had to replace a door. Great for PRO work on your high end car, with my experience being with a 7 Series BMW. Had a minor collision a few weeks ago. Spectrum (Danny) took care of my car PERFECTLY, from A to Z. Danny first set a realistic expectation and timeline from the get go, clearly explaining the entire process. Spectrum coordinated all work with my insurance carrier, acquired all genuine BMW parts (their strict policy), and executed all related repair/replacement work flawlessly, including coordinating final settings/programming at the BMW dealer. 3/18/23...Two weeks ago, I took my Porsche 911 to Spectrum Collision Center to fix its rear bumper and wheel damaged in a minor car accident. I found only 2 places in OC authorized to work or Porsches. one that I actually used before was hard to work with and asked for an estimate just to see me. The owner didn't even return my calls and I'm glad he didn't. Spectrum saw me the same day I called and I was helped by Danny Ngo. Danny was knowledgeable and friendly. He worked with my insurance company and made the process easy for me. I picked up my car 2 days ago with anabrand new bumper ahead of the schedule and it looked perfect. Wow I just got my car back and it looks BRAND NEW. I am so pleased with the work done on my Tesla Model 3. I have heard people say it is hard to match paint on Teslas and my car looks perfect. The repairs took about a month (including some holidays, so maybe closer to 3-3.5 weeks), which seemed like awhile, but I saw other people say that quality work takes time, and now seeing the result I would agree with that too. Worth the wait. Bill was great about keeping me updated with a timeline. When I initially went into Spectrum Collision, their accurate estimate was way more than what my insurance had quoted. They worked everything out with the insurance company. There is an enterprise right around the corner too and it is easy to get a rental car while your car is serviced. Brought in my wifes 2020 Tesla model X with 1,500 miles on it that was involved in a front end accident. The entire front end was replaced among A LOT of other parts. This was a very large and intensive repair. We chose Spectrum Collision because they are certified by Tesla and local. From the time the car was towed to Spectrum, Johnny was extremely helpful. He always kept me updated with what was going on and really went above and beyond. First off, they do great work. I've only had my car back a few days, but it looks great, drives great and as far as I can see, I can't tell that it was ever damaged. Second, they did complete the job on time. The exact day that the car was supposed to be done, I was told to come get it. My issue with Spectrum is their customer service, or in my case, complete disregard for it. In the customer service industry, you are supposed to under promise and over deliver. Anytime you cannot meet the word you give to your customer, you should do all you can to reach out to them and reset the expectation. Empty promises turn great opportunities for success into disastrous outcomes. I read the negative reviews before dropping my car off. I had hoped to not be the person to add another one. Since that isn't the case, I can only offer them 3 stars. If anyone at Spectrum reads this, I offer the following. People come to you after a "bad" experience. They entrust you with at least a portion of making it all better. As such, the customer should never be on the pendulum end of your excuses. Focus on your customer and treat them like they are priority number one (even if they are not). read more

Spectrum stood by their work on my Tesla model S. Their body and paint work is among the best in the industry. Their customer service is outstanding. Here's where it matters, my car went into the shop in November for a minor body repair on the rear right door. With Tesla's the windows do not fully close until it senses the door is closed to prevent pressure changes. Well my car window was partly down due to a sensor issue. I informed a service tech of the issue. Later that week it rained. When I picked the car up there was water damaged to the headliner. Spectrum owned this, 100% and replaced the headliner. It was no small job. Bottom line, they will not leave you with less than a 100% job well done. Special thanks to Ed and Ted. I'll upload photos to complete this post. Just picked up my car and had some repair work done to the front bumper lip, and the rocker panel. Damage while in service at the dealership. Gary and his team did an impeccable job. I hate when I see reviews that complain about not getting their cars back on time. I was told I'd get my car back on Friday, I knew that it would most likely be a couple of days after that, and if not, then great. When I picked up my car Tuesday morning, it was in better condition than the delivery date. Spectrum Collision is my go to body repair and detail experts. And a lifetime warranty on the work. If you're looking for a good repair and no customer service, this is your shop. I was rear-ended and decided to take my Tesla to Spectrum because it was a certified body shop. From the start, I felt treated more like a number compared to a customer. I never felt assured my car would be taken care of but considering I needed my car back asap, I hesitantly dropped off the car for repairs. Luckily when I picked up the car, repairs were completed properly and there were no issues. I suggest that management train their staff to be more personable towards their customer. read more

THREE MONTHS AND COUNTING So far, getting any useful information from Johnny at Spectrum has been a complete goat rope. I get it- he's got my car held hostage now that it's partially apart and on the frame (or whatever!) His entire M.O. is blaming State Farm. Funny thing, I talk to State Farm regularly and his only communication with insurance is after we try to contact him and before he actually picks up or returns a call. Note: State Farm actually shares info with their customers and I know he only calls after we've already called him for updates (which now will occur daily). We got referred to Spectrum because the shop we would normally use could not complete the repairs on a BMW hybrid. So, fine. We trusted them and took the referral. And THREE MONTHS LATER we have no answers, no car and no timeline of when we can expect the repairs to be complete. I'm furious and feel like the whole method is an insurance scam. Submitting supplements to my insurance (we are up to 5 now) in "baby steps" (his words) and only when we press him for updates is unacceptable. I tend to be a post the positive reviewer. I hope something changes but can't see how that could be possible as messed up as this whole situation is. This is without mention (well now I'm mentioning it) of the incredibly placating, patronizing tone once you can get him on the phone. Gross and gross. I called up and mentioned I have a side view mirror replacement part that I could take care of myself but would take hours or maybe pay them for not if their time.
