I am satisfied with my nails and toes and I thought the Anna and Annie who did my nails were very kind, thourough, and fast. However, I booked online a BIAB manicure for $55 and I did this because I wanted the Russian manicure which was included. When I arrived the manager/desk asked to confirm that I wanted builder gel and I said yes because I was under the impression that they are the exact same thing just different names which I looked up and they pretty much are. But still my RESERVATION said BIAB and NOT BUILDER. Then I was given an issue when I asked when I was going to get the Russian manicure part and he tried to blame it on me saying I wanted builder gel when I walked in, which I want to point out they said costs the same as the BIAB manicure but without the Russian manicure for whatever reason. Also builder gel is not even listed on the website anywhere so I'm still confused about that. On top of this I feel like when booking there should be somewhere blankly stated that it costs extra to take off old builder gel (I was not told about this until my old builder gel was already removed and then I didn't have another choice but to get a full new set instead of just a fill, (which was partly my fault for not checking when I booked but every other place I have gotten my nails done at has explicitly stated on their gel services when they charge extra) and also $7 for a round/oval shape is a little ridiculous. I felt very confused and honestly like they were trying charge me more, and I was not met with the kindness I expected when these issues came up even though I was calm and not blaming anyone. What went from an expected $93 gel pedicure and BIAB manicure increased to $123 which is absurd (I lived in Miami Florida and did not pay that much even there). And the last thing is that the "Russian manicure" I received felt like a regular manicure where they just cut your cuticles and nothing special but this was my first time getting this so I have nothing to compare it to. It seems like they call it a Russian manicure so they can charge you an additional $15. I was really looking forward to this today since I have had a somewhat hard and busy past few weeks since I just moved to this area but I didn't want to spend a crazy amount and online the prices seem fairly reasonable until you look at the add ons/additional services. The service atmosphere is nice. Couple things worth mentioning: they kept trying to upsell me. Repeatedly asked if I wanted my hands done and I was only there for a pedicure. Callus removal is $10 so you might as well get a deluxe package for the same price. She charged additional $10 to fix my broken toe nail which I thought was excessive. I asked for a color similar to funny bunny but she just put a the same color so I'm assuming there's a language barrier. Called before hand told nails were 45. Get here , do almond shape nails , they are short . Get to the end she tells me 75$ for the nails , 5$ extra for long nails, 7$ extra for almond shape and 8$ for design didn't tell me any of this before she did it just decided to say it at the end. I didn't do a design just different color gel polishes . And to top it off the nails are crooked . When I told her she said "I don't see it crooked" Super disappointed as this was my birthday nails and I came in expecting to pay way less than I did and i even called before . Manager did message me after this to assist so that was nice . He offered a refund so I appreciate him trying to make it right. Anna (She is Wonderful) started my pedicure and told me that I needed to switch chairs to give more room for the manicure to be done. He then told me I had to wait an additional hour now until my pedicure was finished. Because of the extra hour wait, I was late for a Graduation Celebration. DON'T LIE about being able to provide a service and then after my pedicure is started; you have my manicurist start on someone else. To add insult to injury; my daughter got a pedicure and had the girl put acrylic on Two toes and she charged $20. Extra. She was never told about the $20. fee. I am so sad to be writing this because I started going here the second it opened. I asked for my gel nails to be taken off as I am a new mom to a newborn constantly changing diapers and needed to get my nails taken off for sanitary purposes. I got a lot a looks when I asked for them to be taking off instead of getting a manicure. I also asked multiple times to have them cut down. They were as sharp as knives. I also went home a filed them down, requiring more work for myself instead of originally getting a ticket Just recently I was invited to get my nails done with a friend elsewhere and the nail tech saw my nails and was and shocked they were still intact. He said that they drilled my natural nail off, as well as somehow kept old gel on . The nail tech said that this was extremely unsanitary. A month later I'm still having my nails recover from the severe damage I have from just simply asking to have my gel removed. This is beyond this most frustrating thing to have.
