Very disappointing experience at Classic Car Wash today. A few days ago, I was told that the barcode on the car could still be read by the wash machine, but not by the employee's tablet, so the account had to be looked up manually. I was also told there were still two full-service washes left on the plan for this car, including interior and exterior. This morning, I came back expecting to use one of those washes and was suddenly told there were none left. So which employee was wrong, the one who told me I had two remaining, or the one today telling me I had none on my given plan. Get it together. Instead of helping resolve the confusion, the person assisting me, who appeared to be a supervisor, was pushy, defensive, and focused on upselling. He kept pushing additional monthly upgrades for a plan that is not even mine, since the car belongs to my boyfriend. What bothered me most was the tone. There was no empathy or patience, just pressure and attitude. If staff are giving conflicting information or their system is not working properly, that is not the customer's fault. To be fair, the employees washing and drying the cars have usually been kind and sweet over the years. My issue is with the poor handling of this situation by someone who seemed to be in a leadership role. This place is already overpriced for the quality ($49 or $59 were my options given for one full wash), and the cars are not always cleaned thoroughly. Customers need courtesy and solutions, not confusion and pushy sales tactics. I left with no wash, had to wait to back out, and wasted time! If you want to pay double for the same result, then definitely give them a try. The mid-grade exterior only car wash is $23 which is literally the same result of an $12 car wash at a gas station. Same bugs left on the car, same dirt on the rocker panels. The 4 people rubbing a towel of the car at the end for 12 seconds is a "nice touch" I suppose, but literally does nothing to improve the wash result. You still have to spend your own time cleaning the glass and getting any bugs off the front of the car. I'll choose the $12 car wash at a Mobil station next time. read more

As soon as I pulled in, I looked at the pricing signs and was already shocked... about $50 for a basic full service wash with exterior wipe down. Then an attendant came up and started pushing a monthly subscription for $50/month for two washes. I told him multiple times"no thank you" I was not interested and just wanted a single wash. He kept pushing and saying things like, "Bro, I'm trying to save you money. This is a good deal for you." (First off I'm not your bro) I said no several times, but he wouldn't take no for an answer and kept pressuring me until I finally gave in just to get it over with. I was honestly pretty upset about it. After I got home, I immediately canceled the subscription and didn't even bother using the second wash. Canceling was also difficult, I basically had to make up a story about losing my job just to get them to stop pushing. I've actually been going to this company at other locations since the early 2000s and I understand prices have gone up, but the aggressive sales pressure was completely unacceptable. No should mean no. I will not be coming back to this location and I've already told friends and family about my experience. I took my car to this location yesterday afternoon and did not notice this until once I was home. I had my trunk open, told them to vacuum and I walked inside the shop after doing so to pay. They failed to vacuum my trunk amongst other issues in my car. I am very disappointed. I had not come to this location in a while due to insufficient cleaning, though I thought I'd give them another shot on this day, but they just gave me a reason to not come back. read more

I've been going here for years simply because they are close but I have to say, they aren't great. Their attention to detail just isn't up to par. The group that does the post wash duties seem to always be more interested in looking around rather than concentrating on the job that they are paid to do. Every time they say they are done, and I do mean every time, they miss wiping obvious areas like the drivers door panel and door jam and the many other place inside the car including the screens. There is almost always dust and dirt left over. This place doesn't have a lot of real estate so they are inherently rushing through the jobs to make sure the cars keep moving. I do understand that but please, do the job to the best of your ability. We are paying a hefty price for that service. read more

My car interior hadn't been cleaned in over a year and it was a mess. Paid the $50 car wash and was happy with the results. I really needed a solid vacuum to get a majority of the dirt and hair out. Dashboard and interior was wiped clean and lots of staff drying all parts of the car. Cash tip always. read more

This car wash generally does a good job at cleaning the cars. But I have a concern about the workers who clean the vehicles. I have a membership so I go in once a month and on my most recent visit I forget I had a few rolls of coins in my backseat bin. I remembered when after I left the car wash and looked for them, but they were no longer there. I called and spoked with a manager if anyone had found them. But I never received a call back later in the day to resolve my issue. I believe that someone unfortunately stole the coins while cleaning out my car ! I felt cornered by staff to add on services that I really did not need. THREE men came by and wouldn't let me say "no" for additional services which was super uncomfortable. I kept on saying "no thank you" but they kept pushing it and would not leave me alone. I can't believe I experienced this level of uncomfortableness at a carwash? I literally just wanted a regular car wash but with all the added services , it was literally $305. Plus they wanted me to add something for another $150??? I must've said no ten times before they finally left me alone, but left me alone with a look where I could tell they were annoyed :( such an unpleasant feeling and the overall experience was the worst. The employees are very friendly and helpful but that's as far as it goes. I had the full detailing done $129.99. The vacuum job was mediocre, still had leaves on driver side floor, did not wipe down steering wheel as it was still sticky, dirt was still on the area around the cup holder which I had to wash off, did not empty my small waste basket by seat, left the items I had behind seat in a pile in the middle of the floor, the outside still had water spots here and there (they were to wax the outside). I went in at 2:00 on a Friday afternoon to save time. I got the $50 cleaning package and was really let down. The outside was cleaned, but the inside was barely wiped down. I know this isn't the $100 package, but for $50 I expected more. They vacuumed, but nothing else. So, next time I will save 40 minutes and $50 cleaning it myself. I'm really disappointed. One of the worst car wash experiences I've had. I was stuck behind a customer discussing premium services with a salesperson, and when I politely asked the sales person whether he can continue his conversation on the side, he completely ignored me. The salesperson continued the conversation for over 10 minutes while I remained boxed in, with another car behind me as well. Instead of resolving the situation by asking the customer ahead to move, they eventually made me do a very tight and inconvenient U-turn just to leave. I reported the incident to the manager, but no one ever followed up or offered any explanation for the salesperson's behavior. I was a regular customer there but I never went back there since the incident. The car wash on Capitol Expwy and Fwy 87 is much better. No wonder these guys have a 2.0 rating. The rudeness here is unbelievable. I've had my car cleaned twice, both very average jobs, but now they they are basically refusing to even wash cars I think I'll just go literally anywhere else. I came here with a coupon for a free car wash, given to me by my car dealer, and the crazy lady and her smug, condescending manager acted like I was trying to scam them. Then I asked the cashier if prices went up recently and she was instantly defensive saying "I don't make the prices". My response: that wasn't my question. When they said my car was done -- the back hadn't been vacuumed and there was soap or drops of cleaner that hasn't been wiped down on the inside of the car. I'll be washing my own car going forward. I've been going to this car wash for 5+ years. Today, I had my SUV washed. I paid $49, to make sure they vacuumed and wiped down everything inside (I was too lazy to vacuum myself). They did NOT. When I opened up the back it hadn't been vacuumed at all. Also, the headrests and doors in the back were also not cleaned. This car wash used to do a good job. Not anymore. Always pasted by this nice looking car wash and turned in to get a wash. It costs $54 plus tip and the wash was done. Everyone who works here were very friendly. The only problem my car still looked dirty and they washed my car again and it was still dirty. They asked for $400 more to polish car to take small tree sap stains out. This place used to be such a great car wash location and chain but their service has severely gone downhill. It's unrecognizable at this point with how horrible it's become (this is for the folks working the outside portion of the location- not the super kind folks working the cashier and the service inside). We used to have the monthly full service membership but had canceled with the guarantee we would be able to have the rollover interior/exterior credits available to us as long as we kept the exterior membership (we had several credits) - we were mislead! They ended up charging us the full amount of $55 as if we didn't even have a membership and the main man, who I believe is the manager at this location, was incredibly rude about it after I said I was not interested in upgrading again. He scoffed and rolled his eyes and basically insinuated I was dumb because I would not re-upgrade our membership. Such a scam snso disappointing. If I had the chance to leave I would have but had multiple cars waiting behind me in queue. Once inside, I paid the ridiculous amount on top of our monthly membership and canceled on the spot. Lastly, when picking up our car, they didn't even vacuuming the trunk or wiping down the backseat. I had to let them know to fix it before taking off. We've been using Classic Car wash for years. My daughter was talked into a monthly charge of $49.98 for the unlimited visit program. After realizing she really wasn't going to be able to take advantage of this, she asked to cancel her plan. No problem she was told. Twice now we've been charged the $49.98 on our credit card. First time she called- no problem, we will take care of it. It won't be charged again. We were just charged AGAIN!!! How do we finally stop this charge. It's very frustrating.... read more

If you want to spend money to fix your car after receiving an aggressive car wash then go ahead and sign up or go through that car wash. I know how to spend a couple hundred dollars because to fix the molding on my front windshield. After speaking with Sebastian, he use some pretty interesting words with me and try to blame me. He saying he has footage I have footage of course they will not do anything to help me other than to cancel. Please please please go anywhere else other than this car wash. It's extremely aggressive with the wash and I will attach the photo to show you what happened. Also my before. Side note, I should've listened to my boyfriend. He told me that a while back they had scratched the top of his Volkswagen because the wash is so aggressive . If I could give them -10 stars, I would. I pull up and there's one car ahead of me in one of the express lanes. The other lane has a few cars. Both of us stay put. Then an employee tells both of us to back up and move to the longer line--so we do. There's no sign saying that first lane is closed, and it's a busy Sunday. While I sit there, cars keep coming straight off the street and glide right into the "closed" lane that now looks empty. My line doesn't move. At least 20 cars come and go that should've been behind me, and still nothing. Finally the car in front of me pulls up, clearly complaining, then moves on. My turn. I explain the situation to the attendant--just to point out how messed up it is, not expecting anything. He says "hold on a minute," so I assume he's getting a manager to maybe offer a free wash or something. (I wasn't asking for that, just thought maybe.) The manager comes over and says, "How can I help you?" Excuse me? You either know the situation and have a resolution, or don't waste my time. I repeat everything. He barely apologizes. I tell him I'm leaving a one-star review and he basically shrugs--something like "that's cool"--which shows exactly how little they care. What a waste of time. The reviews might make people think that this place is awful or a scam. I think it's great but you have to understand what you're getting. The reason to come here is if you want an interior AND exterior car wash, and you want to grab a snack or at least relax in the shade while it's being done. Exterior only? Chevron drive through is just as good and cheaper. Interior detailing? There are places that will do a better job. But if you want someone to vacuum up your kids crumbs from the back seat and wipe your dashboard, plus clean all of the essentials like windows and mirrors, this is a good deal. And they're pretty efficient, too. And again - the reason to come here is because you can browse the gift shop, grab a snack. Or relax in the shade by a fountain while your car is being washed. That's what keeps me coming back. I'm not looking for the most clean car possible. I'm here because getting a car wash is a necessary chore, so I may as well enjoy it. read more

This is the most overrated car wash I've ever been too. The first time I came I swore I would never come again but I did anyways in a pinch and had the same service when I was the only car going through the wash this time (due to a very rainy day) Both times the man who approached my window was rude and extremely pushy. When I asked for simple interior (which is a vacuum and "wipe down") they insinuate that my car is too dirty for just that. The first time I went with what they suggested but then declined when they quoted me $275 for an interior cleaning. Then after I went with the $44 exterior and interior, over an hour passed (when my car was apparently finished after 20 min) and no one notified me until I went to the front desk. Which I was then informed my car had been done for some time and they couldn't find me (even though I was sitting in their designated waiting area). This second time I went back for the same thing (which was my own fault) but thought it may be better since I was the only car there. I watch 7 men "wipe down" my interior just to get in and find this (pictured). I know I didn't pay for a detail but you would think that $50 for a vacuum and wipe down would actually get you something. But it doesn't. This is the only car wash my cousin takes her car to. She travels 9 miles just to come here. It's usually crowded on the weekends so try to come early. Even though she isn't satisfied every single time, she's a loyal customer. The staff are friendly and respectful. It's around $50 for a car wash in and out. For one of them always have yearly membership. Today around 5 pm I took my other car to this place for full car wash. As always one of the employees came to the window to explain the deals. He started to explain about $50... deal that if I get it today, then for whole month I can have another full service car wash plus unlimited exterior wash. One more time, I was repeating exactly what he told me, then I asked him am I right? He said, YES! I said ok, I will get that for this month. He went in front of the car to enter the information to his system. Still, I was doubting about what I was told. Again, I told him "" I wanted to make sure that I understand you well! If I get this deal today then for this month I can have another full car wash plus unlimited exterior, right?"" He said, right!!!!! Again, I told him it means it's done until end of this month? ""He said, YES! Today is May 19th, the deal ends 19th of next month."" I thought it's a new promotion. He gave me the receipt. My son and I went to the cashier. Over there I was told by the girl "SDiana" that do you want to enroll for monthly membership!!!!! Immediately, I said, NOOOO! And I explained whole story to her. She said, they don't have such a deal for a month and it's just yearly enrollment. I told her that the guy in front told me and I asked him 3 times to make sure I'm correct. Because I have never heard such a promotion in 20 years and 3 times he said YES, and now you are telling me that there is not such a deal. Anyway, she has changed the receipt and I paid $44.99. It means the deal that I requested at the beginning. As always at the end someone called us that the car is ready. I gave him receipt when we went to our car. The guy was talking in Spanish language to someone through his walkytalky and didn't give me my car key. I was wondering what's going on!!!!!???? Then he was asking my name. I told him why are you asking my name. I don't want to tell you my name. After a few minutes another guy "Juan" came and asked for my car registration card. I took it from dashboard and gave it to him and he started to read my full name and address and then asking me what is your name? Is it your name over it and more questions... I felt frustrated and very insecure. I told him why are you looking for my name, address, and all my personal information? Who are you? I didn't bring my car to car wash to give you guys all my personal information. He said the number of your receipt is different than our receipt. This is why I have to get all your personal information!!!!!! I was very upset and told him ok, call 911 to come and then I will give them all my personal information but not you! You started to read my home address very clearly. WHY???!!!! Why do you need my home address??!! If the recipe number looks different go and blame your employee who lied to me 3 times and he made such a mess!!! Go to the SDiana, the cashier to find out who or why such a mistake did happened!!! You don't have RIGHT to asking for all my personal information plus my car registration and very accurate reading my home address in front of me!!! AS A CUSTOMER FELT VERY INSECURE TO BE THERE. The salesperson outright lied to me about the terms of the wash packages. The first time, I was sold a "limited exterior wash" and told it was valid at all Classic Car Wash locations--including Los Gatos. After paying the monthly fee, I later found out it wasn't valid at Los Gatos at all. Then it happened again. I was sold a $49.98/month "care package" and was told it included one full-service wash per month and unlimited exterior washes, valid for any car, and interchangeable between vehicles--again, supposedly valid at all locations. That was all false. Not only was the package not honored at the Los Gatos location, but I later discovered I was being charged $64.98/month, not $49.98. This is dishonest, misleading, and unacceptable. Classic Car Wash needs to be held accountable for shady sales practices like this. Be extremely careful before signing up for anything here--they clearly count on people not noticing the fine print until it's too late. Total scam. read more
