He crawled under the truck and said it was changed he just didn't wipe it off. . Wipe off dirt and old oil smudges from a new filter??? Asked if I wanted to change it again. I said no, I want you to change for what I paid for originally and you didn't do. I pulled in, three went below the truck in the bay. Stayed down there for a few minutes, came back up and said he changed it and showed me a filter that didn't even belong on my truck. I asked if he was going to add oil.. said he didn't lose any.... His commitment to that story is really impressive. He and the cohorts who supported his dishonesty are a threat to the business and its clients. I had issues with the first battery a couple months after buying it. I was able to return and they swapped it out with no issues. I had issues with the 2nd battery (an expensive one for my classic car). I had to get a jump start early Sunday after getting gas as it wouldn't start. Later that day, I was on the side of the road on with my classic car as it stalled due to battery, I pulled the battery and went to the store to swap it out. They did not have it in stock (nor at multiple other stores as he did call to see if I could find one). The rep then told me he might get one in on Wednesday or Thursday but I explained I was broke down. He said there's nothing he could do but maybe I could get one somewhere else. First thing Monday morning, I got a battery from a parts store. I then went back to the store to meet Jason the Manager. He explained they do not refund for batteries, but I can call corporate customer care which I did. They took all the information, and asked me to email a receipt of the replacement battery I purchased elsewhere which I did. Today (Tuesday), I missed a call back from customer care asking me to call them back. When I called, I was placed on hold till she could get Jason from the store on the phone with us. After 3 attempts, she was unable to get her call answered. I asked and was told to stop by the store. Jason was already gone for the day. I spoke with the MOD who contacted Jason only to be told I will not receive a refund, only an exchange. IF Jason AND the customer care for Valvoline both know it's their policy to NOT refund for batteries, and NOT have my battery available at this or other locations for exchange, WHY did I waste numerous calls and frustration in these efforts as told by both parties????? I am a disabled veteran, neither I nor any other customer should experience those stresses or experiences with policy that doesn't nothing to protect their customers. I will be sharing this with my friends and colleagues.

While they do ask if you want to hear about any additional service recommendations, I've never felt pressured to purchase these and rather took away knowledge to make an educated choice in the near future. I was able to use a coupon even though my vehicle takes a more specific oil and the price point wasn't too bad for getting sit in my car. Also went about 45 minutes to closing time and they could not have been any more nice or willing to service my vehicle. I even saw them helping a customer who came back needing different windshield wipers installed and they immediately remedied the issue. It was almost 90 degrees in the car with the air turned off, so I was sweating disgustingly, but small price to pay when the workers are braving the heat for customers. Happy they had some sort of cooling/fan system going for them, but hope that management can hook them up with a better cooling system. And also maybe give them some extra hydration too.
