I have dealt with this location for many years, and will no longer be using it! I have purchased 2 batteries in the past 8 months from this location. I had issues with the first battery a couple months after buying it. I was able to return and they swapped it out with no issues. I had issues with the 2nd battery (an expensive one for my classic car). I had to get a jump start early Sunday after getting gas as it wouldn't start. Later that day, I was on the side of the road on with my classic car as it stalled due to battery, I pulled the battery and went to the store to swap it out. They did not have it in stock (nor at multiple other stores as he did call to see if I could find one). The rep then told me he might get one in on Wednesday or Thursday but I explained I was broke down. He said there's nothing he could do but maybe I could get one somewhere else. First thing Monday morning, I got a battery from a parts store. I then went back to the store to meet Jason the Manager. He explained they do not refund for batteries, but I can call corporate customer care which I did. They took all the information, and asked me to email a receipt of the replacement battery I purchased elsewhere which I did. Today (Tuesday), I missed a call back from customer care asking me to call them back. When I called, I was placed on hold till she could get Jason from the store on the phone with us. After 3 attempts, she was unable to get her call answered. I asked and was told to stop by the store. Jason was already gone for the day. I spoke with the MOD who contacted Jason only to be told I will not receive a refund, only an exchange. IF Jason AND the customer care for Valvoline both know it's their policy to NOT refund for batteries, and NOT have my battery available at this or other locations for exchange, WHY did I waste numerous calls and frustration in these efforts as told by both parties????? I am a disabled veteran, neither I nor any other customer should experience those stresses or experiences with policy that doesn't nothing to protect their customers. Just went to this location for a service. After waiting for sometime I didn't get in and had to go, no big deal. There were also 2 cars behind me trying to get in as the parking lot, it was very backed up. As I circled around the building there was an suv parked and blocking the path. I got out and asked if it was one of the employees cars and they said yes. When I asked if he could move so I could get out they told me no. To back out and make a u turn in the small lot and leave from where I came. Now at this point the 2 cars behind me, one followed behind me and one left out the entrance. The same employee that told me no addressed the older women behind me who was expressing to the young man she did not feel safe turning around and leaving though the entrance, and would also like to pass. She was told no. So an employee not properly parked couldn't pull up 10 ft really quick to rectify the problem? Total dickheads. read more

Let's get right to the point, only if I could give it a 0-star rating. When I arrived at the Valvoline store on Murfreesboro Road at 6:30 p.m., the manager informed me that they had to close early because of a staffing shortage. He continued by telling me that he would put the letter outlining what I needed to do if I went to the one on Bell Road. At 6:40 p.m., the guy emerged from the other location on Bell Road, walked up, and asked what services I needed. He then scanned my car and instructed me to follow a car that was already receiving services. At 6:50 p.m., a young girl emerged and said, "We won't be able to get to your car because we close at 7 and I don't know how long the other car will be." I told her I had been waiting and that the guy had already scanned my car and that I would be the next. Now that 705 has arrived, I'm still waiting, and the other car has pulled off. Then the guy shut both doors and never returned to my car while I was waiting. I flashed my lights, but he ignored me and went into a room. He responded after I drove around to where the cars pull out that "she told you that we weren't going to do it" I then said, " you scanned my car," to which he replied, "I didn't know what time it was, and she told you we were not going to change it. I then went on asking him for his name and her name, and the store number. He then stated," I don't care if you call them nothing is going to happen," he said loudly when I asked him for his name, the girl's name, and the business number. Supposed to open at 7:30AM on Saturdays. Got here at 7:11 to allow engine to cool a bit. No one showed until 8:05. Trying to get a radiator flush. It's 8:23AM and not a damn thing has been done to my vehicle other than them opening the hood. The 3 employees here keep pushing off the job on each other. Ridiculous. They were obviously busy the gentleman took his time to inform me there would be a wait but he and his colleague worked diligently to get everyone serviced! Excellent service! The guys were very accommodating and competent. They did not try to upsell me at all! I strongly recommend.

None of my fluids were checked nor was my tire pressure or vehicle lights. My oil filter was also not changed. I drove back through the bay to demand windshield wiper fluid. Please review the video footage. There was a camera pointing directly on my vehicle. The only service I received was an oil change and I question the quality of such. There were young adults working and most were playing around and not doing their job. read more

Not a good visit. This is the 5th time I have taken this car to them and prob the 30th time ever. They asked for my keys and I said I would prefer not to since it's a push start and my key were hard to get to. The guy said ok, 5 minutes later another guy came over and shut my hood and said you are good to go. No work had been done. I asked why he said since you refuse to give up your keys you need to go. I was never asked again, I was never officially told no you can't do that. Once the hood was shut he explained it to me but at that point I was done, if that's how they will treat people I don't want to give them my business. I have never given my keys before so how was I to know that this was there policy. Everyone there needs to get on the same page, and they need to talk to people like customers not just expect them to know everything and refuse to communicate. read more

I've been using Valvoline for the last 5 years starting in STL, then KC, and now the last year in Antioch. I have always received what I considered to be exceptional service which is why I'm a loyal customer. This summer my drivers side brake light went out for the first time since getting my car in 2018. It's the only light I have had to change thus far. In November after getting it changed at the Bell road location around July, it began doing the quick flash implying it was going out. I planned to come by but the next day it appeared to be working again. I thought maybe it was loose or just a glitch of some sort. A couple weeks later the same thing happened but again it started working again before I had the chance to stop by. Then it happened again the weekend of thanksgiving while out of town and by the time I got back was working again. I decided I was going to have them check it at my next oil change. I came in for that oil change this past Saturday and explained the situation...multiple times..to multiple techs. I asked them if they could check it to make sure it wasn't loose or something being that it had initially been replaced at that location. In my mind this is a simple task. I admittedly don't know anything about cars which is why I bring it to professionals even for simple things as I want to be sure any maintenance or replacements are done right. But the fact I had to ask multiple times and keep re explaining the situation as if it was some overly complicated task is beyond me. Then to have one of the techs say "it's probably an electrical issue" without even checking it. While I do understand that's a valid possibility, instead of assuming or guessing...just check the bulb and this might clear up the issue instead of going straight to electrical issues. Especially when I've stated multiple times it was just changed for the first time and I've had no issues prior to that change and no other electrical issues or even mechanical issues with my car in the 5 years I've had it. Even after re explaining and asking several times the tech attempted to cash me out for my oil change before anyone had checked the light. I again asked for it to be checked. He opened the trunk and stood there for a second and then closed the trunk. Didn't touch anything. Didn't physically check the bulb. Just walked away. Nothing was communicated so I assumed that was him "checking it". Then another tech came over and opened the trunk and as he was about to actually check it he was told to stop and go to lunch. So he walked away leaving the trunk open and didn't communicate anything further. While continuing to wait, another tech came over and asked what was the situation and I again explained it. This is now the 3rd person I've had to explain this to. The original tech comes back and finally physically checks the bulb and tells me it's blown. He then replaces it and confirms it's working. Once done he adds it to my total. I do understand that expecting it to be free after it clearly being a faulty bulb to go out that quickly is a sign of me being naive but the experience and the gas lighting about the cause without checking, the numerous re explanations, the lack of communication throughout the process was honestly more frustrating than having to pay almost $20 for a new bulb after only a few months of having the original one. And I did point that out to the tech that I was hoping for it to be free or discounted as I had just had it replaced a few months ago..his response was to chuckle and say "bulbs aren't covered under a warranty." Well stupid me for assuming that in good faith and after dealing with an obviously faulty bulb purchased from your business that you might cut me some slack. This experience was disappointing to say the least. For something that again seemed fairly simple once all was said and done. It was an opportunity to provide exceptional customer service and show that you stand by the work you do and the products you sell. And while I know it was naive to think it would be free maybe don't laugh in the customers face and show a little empathy for the situation. After the last bulb lasted 5 years I don't think it's that ridiculous to expect a brand new one to last more than 5 months. Also it's not always what you say but how you say it, the delivery of "bulbs aren't covered under warranty" combined with the laugh sealed the deal on me no longer being a customer. I know losing my business alone won't hurt your company but it sucks to no longer feel I can trust a company that's been my go to the last 5 years. read more

Went to Valvoline to get my regular oil change and front headlight checked that wasn't working correctly. Lath the mechanic, took care of me and his kind and gentle mannerism put me at ease. It was hot that day and he escorted me to the air conditioned waiting room. He repaired the headlight and the oil change was done in an efficient and expeditious manner. This Valvoline franchise is close to my home but if I ever move away, I will most likely come back because of the professional and excellent service!! read more

Kayla and Miguel were really really great! They were super friendly, explained the whole process, and didn't try to force me to purchase things that were not needed. They showed me my air filters and said, "these look good they don't need to be replaced yet." How often do you go to an oil change place where they are actually honest with you about things like that?! My entire oil change took less than 15 minutes from the time I pulled in until the time I pulled out. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who wants to get their oil changed quickly and professionally and doesn't want to sit through all the up-sale attempts that most oil change places try to try to push on you! read more

I came in for service on December 17th for an oil change as I was passing through the state back to Florida. After getting back to my home in Tampa my engine light came on. I brought my car to the mechanic in Tampa to see why my light was on and my car was shaking. He told me my engine is "knocking". He verified that I do not have any oil leaks. This was less then a month after reporting the issue. I reported the issue to Valvoline corporate and they denied my claim without any reason. I will be filing a subpoena at this point because this must be illegal. Am I supposed to eat the cost of fixing engine issues, because you failed to follow protocol? I will clearly not be recommending this service to any of my colleagues or friends. Valvoline... you have really upset me with this level of poor service. When I brought it to the following managers attention: Brooklyn, Laith, and Eric I was told they reviewed the footage and they showed me a dip stick.
