    Large Chicken Parm Sub

I ordered the large chicken parm sub and it was honestly pretty good. The presentation was a lot better than other subs I have had and was neatly put together. The bread was perfectly toasted, and there's a slight garlic-y taste when at the end of the sub where there is no sauce. The chicken was a little soggy, but the taste was fine. Overall the sub was great and I would have it again.

    Gyro? On a tortilla? Wtf?!

Surprisingly Great Pizza and Churros at a Gas Station? Believe It…read more Tucked inside a Shell gas station in Marlborough, Karine's is an unexpected gem delivering way more than you'd ever expect from its humble location. We tried two pizzas and a dessert, and every bite was a pleasant surprise. The pizza crust is a standout--chewy in the best way, with a satisfying texture and flavor that doesn't rely on toppings to carry it. It's not dry or bland like you sometimes get at quick-serve spots; this was clearly crafted with care. The sauce hits a great balance--neither overly sweet nor harshly acidic--providing a smooth, savory backdrop for the toppings. We ordered two varieties: pepperoni and mushroom. The pepperoni itself was average in quality, but it was spread generously and evenly, and the overall composition of the pizza made it work. Nothing felt skimped, and the proportion of crust to topping was spot on. The mushroom pizza was even better--made with fresh mushrooms (not canned!), giving it a noticeably better flavor and texture. We'd absolutely order that one again. And then... the churros. These weren't your standard sugar-dusted fare. They were bite-sized, crispy, and stuffed with caramel--basically little golden miracles. Addictive is an understatement. All of this came at a very affordable price, making Karine's not just a great surprise, but a seriously good value. If you're anywhere near Marlborough, don't let the gas station setting fool you--this place is punching way above its weight. We'll be back.

Four styles (NY, Detroit, Grandma, Chicago Thin) but limited seating (they added three small tables…read morein April 2026), so be prepared to possibly need to tailgate or take it home. Easy online ordering. High quality boxes. -- Detroit Style Sausage and Onion: Crunchy in the right places, soft and pillowy in the right places. Very bright tomato sauce with a little more of a fresh taste than a cooked taste, and I was fine with that. Full flavor to the toppings. A bit too close to raw on the onion is my only quibble, but a very minor one. This pizza excelled for flavor, texture, and value. -- New York Style Pepperoni: Another impressive pie, with a near-perfect crust that achieved crispness without being burnt, without being greasy, with flexibility, and with plenty of appealing sourdough flavor. I'd even say delicate. It doesn't taste sour, it just tastes good, but your mileage may vary. Sauce was pleasant but a little light. Cheese was just right, not overwrought lava, and with a little extra grated in at the end. Pepperoni was potent and of high quality. A very "clean" pie that you could actually eat in a moving car. -- Grandma Style Margarita: The third visit brought the best one yet. Simple pie with simple toppings (cheese, tomato, basil) and great crust (the pop tart shape is the best showcase for that sourdough). Sharp cheese on the bottom and a thick layer of bright red tomato sauce on top with more of that delightful fresh taste bordering on salsa. -- Chicago Thin Style Sausage: Cracker thin and cracker crisp, with the tomato, cheese, and sausage all standing out without obscuring that sourdough taste. Extra sharpness and tanginess from the finishing curls of Parmigiano Reggiano. The smaller pieces (because it's cut into squares) make it difficult to stop eating. This place makes pizza that's both convenient and delicious. It's easily in my top 5, with possible higher ranking due to the versatility of styles. Their rewards program saves you $5 on your next order and in your birthday, so even if not a frequent flier, worth it for that alone-- IF they honor it. So far that hasn't worked, I can't see any accumulated points, and my feedback to them has gone unreturned. But the pizza quality still gets the 5 stars even with that issue.

Having grown up in NJ and CT, we like to think we know a thing or two about great pizza. But, we…read morehad never had Detroit style pizza, and we were eager to try Blue Square after hearing such positive feedback. Online ordering was easy, and our pizza was ready for pickup as expected. The meatball pizza with vodka sauce was very good. The meatball pieces were flavorful - a bit like Italian sausage - and the vodka sauce was less acidic than traditional tomato sauce. Creamy ricotta paired well with the super crispy edges of the crust. All-in-all, it was a very enjoyable pizza, though I do wish I was able to get more of the toppings in each bite, rather than the sporadic placement of meatballs and basil. There's no denying it's tasty...(and a bit expensive at $31.00). I'd be happy to try some of their other interesting toppings and pies!

Clinton is absolutely drowning in places to get a decent sub--sorry, a decent grinder--so honestly,…read moreyou'd have to go out of your way to find something that sucks. Mr. Z's Pizza doesn't just avoid sucking; it clears the bar with room to spare. Yes, it's a pizza place first, but today we're talking sandwiches and pasta, because this shop handles both like they've got something to prove. I went with a pastrami grinder: onions, toasted, mustard, Swiss. This thing came out packed. Flavor on point, execution flawless. The bread had that perfect New England balance--crusty enough to give you a little resistance, not so crusty that you feel like you're gnawing through drywall. They offer two bread options: house-made or frozen/reheated. I went with the latter because the house-made sizes are basically "medium-ish" and "food challenge." The large one could feed two people comfortably, three if they're lightweights. I wanted a clean 8‑inch sub, so premade it was. My wife ordered the ziti and meatballs, and you need to understand something: Mr. Z's is known for its baked pasta. There's a layer of cheese on top thick enough to make all of France weep into its fancy little coffees. Underneath that molten blanket is perfectly cooked ziti and genuinely delicious homemade meatballs. It's the kind of dish that hits you right in the comfort-food cortex. I also know from experience that their Italian sub is dialed in, and the pizza? Fantastic. New England pizza parlors occupy a sacred space that chains simply cannot touch, and Mr. Z's fits right into that tradition. This is the kind of shop where you come for the food and stay for the food because everything they make is just... good. Between Mr. Z's and P&S, Clinton honestly doesn't need another pizza joint or sub shop. And I haven't even gotten to TC Landau's yet.
