High quality boxes. -- Detroit Style Sausage and Onion: Crunchy in the right places, soft and pillowy in the right places. Very bright tomato sauce with a little more of a fresh taste than a cooked taste, and I was fine with that. Full flavor to the toppings. A bit too close to raw on the onion is my only quibble, but a very minor one. This pizza excelled for flavor, texture, and value. -- New York Style Pepperoni: Another impressive pie, with a near-perfect crust that achieved crispness without being burnt, without being greasy, with flexibility, and with plenty of appealing sourdough flavor. I'd even say delicate. It doesn't taste sour, it just tastes good, but your mileage may vary. Sauce was pleasant but a little light. Cheese was just right, not overwrought lava, and with a little extra grated in at the end. Pepperoni was potent and of high quality. A very "clean" pie that you could actually eat in a moving car. -- Grandma Style Margarita: The third visit brought the best one yet. Simple pie with simple toppings (cheese, tomato, basil) and great crust (the pop tart shape is the best showcase for that sourdough). Sharp cheese on the bottom and a thick layer of bright red tomato sauce on top with more of that delightful fresh taste bordering on salsa. -- Chicago Thin Style Sausage: Cracker thin and cracker crisp, with the tomato, cheese, and sausage all standing out without obscuring that sourdough taste. Extra sharpness and tanginess from the finishing curls of Parmigiano Reggiano. The smaller pieces (because it's cut into squares) make it difficult to stop eating. This place makes pizza that's both convenient and delicious. It's easily in my top 5, with possible higher ranking due to the versatility of styles. Their rewards program saves you $5 on your next order and in your birthday, so even if not a frequent flier, worth it for that alone-- IF they honor it. So far that hasn't worked, I can't see any accumulated points, and my feedback to them has gone unreturned. But the pizza quality still gets the 5 stars even with that issue. read more

Having grown up in NJ and CT, we like to think we know a thing or two about great pizza. But, we had never had Detroit style pizza, and we were eager to try Blue Square after hearing such positive feedback. Online ordering was easy, and our pizza was ready for pickup as expected. The meatball pizza with vodka sauce was very good. The meatball pieces were flavorful - a bit like Italian sausage - and the vodka sauce was less acidic than traditional tomato sauce. Creamy ricotta paired well with the super crispy edges of the crust. All-in-all, it was a very enjoyable pizza, though I do wish I was able to get more of the toppings in each bite, rather than the sporadic placement of meatballs and basil. There's no denying it's tasty...(and a bit expensive at $31.00). I'd be happy to try some of their other interesting toppings and pies! read more

BEST pizza in the area by far! They have a tok of different unique flavors and pizza styles to choose from, yet they don't sacrifice the high quality of any of them! My family did a huge taste test of their more traditional flavors and I have to say the best were definitely the detroit style and grandma style so be sure to give those a try! I can't say much about the service or the atmosphere because we got takeout, but the box's have a cute, chic vibe and our order came out freshly made and pretty much right on time. I will say, however, we ordered very far in advance and their normal wait times are extremely long at this new location, so it's best to plan ahead. Overall, had a great pizza night experience here. There's definitely something for everyone and even some unique new flavors to try. Every pizza is packed with fresh tastes from the cheese to the crust to everything in between. Detroit style pizza is very good The best in Central mass that I've tried. New York style is also quality. I've ordered 10 times from both locations. This Northborough location was new in 2025 and like many new places does get bogged down during high peak ordering. Be patient if you order on a Saturday evening but overall well worth it. read more

Unfortunately, I would give zero stars if possible. I was really looking forward to trying this new place, but DO NOT waste your time here. They are going to fail in Northborough. Half of my order was missing and arrived cold. No one answers the phone at this location. I ended up driving there to get my missing pizza and they forgot to make it. They then said I have two options. To either wait 25 minutes for my pizza or to get a store credit, they do not do refunds for their mistakes. Meanwhile their phone was ringing off the hook the entire time, while all 8 employees ignored it. This is a terribly run business and I will never support them again. Blue Square Pizza absolutely blew me away. The pizza was unbelievably airy and fluffy on the inside, with a perfectly crunchy crust that had just the right bite. Every flavor worked together so well it was balanced, fresh, and honestly addicting. You can tell real care goes into the quality of the food. Nobody answers the phone and the horrible AI system is a joke. I asked to be transferred to a person and get transferred to the AI system over and over an over. I order 4 pizzas through the AI system at 2:30pm for pickup at 5:30 and received a text immediately after I hung up that my order would be ready in 20 mins. The AI system originally said it would be ready in 20mins but I stated I wanted a 5;30 pickup which it acknowledged. Let me be the first to tell you, these reviews so far aren't accurate AT ALL! I've been a customer of Blue Square Pizza about a year and I can't say enough good things about this establishment. The pizza is the best in the metro west area. The wait times can be a little hectic, only because they are so good. I always suggest ordering an hour ahead, especially on a busier night like Saturday or Sunday. The Hopkinton Location has never let me down and the Northboro location has been great thus far. My Personal favorite is the Detroit Style Burrata Pepperoni with Hot Honey. Always so delicious, and fresh! read more

Having heard rave reviews of Blue Square Pizza I was eager to try the new Northboro location. I was greeted upon entering by a very friendly employee who explained the various pizza options. I chose a New York style, pepperoni and onion and my order taken and showed up on the "order board" as #52 ready in 19 minutes. While I was waiting, 2 other customers arrived to pick up their orders only to find that their orders, although confirmed and paid for online, were not showing up in the system. One customer left in disgust while the 2nd customer worked with management to have her order prepared. Possibly their orders went to Hopkinton by mistake. After about 15 minutes, my order had advanced to "almost ready" on the board but then dropped back to 19 minute wait. I was assured that it was almost ready, just an amusing glitch in the system. The order was ready in a couple of minutes BUT when I got home it was the wrong pizza. The box contained a Chicago pizza with pepperoni but no onion. I pulled out my receipt and confirmed that I had ordered NY pepperoni and onion, but decided to eat it rather than wait another 30 minutes for a new one. So, how was the pizza? Just awful. Crust was paper thin, dry and hard. We served it and one person threw hers away after the first bite. Second person got through one piece and declared it the worst pizza ever. I ate 2 pieces (just hungry I guess). We threw at least half in the trash. If it was just the processing problems I would write it off to start up and give them another try. However 3 out of 3 people here thought it was lousy pizza so we won't be going back. read more

Seriously? They use Artificial Intelligence technology to take your telephone order. After picking up the order and opening the box at home, we discovered a key ingredient that we were charged for was missing (this is the 2nd time this happened to us). So we attempted to call the Northborough location upon discovering this to complain and request a refund for the extra charge incurred for a missing ingredient, only to not have any luck with bypassing the AI operator to speak to a human. Soooo - as a desperate next attempt feeling ripped off, we called the original Hopkinton location and spoke to a deadbeat human who claimed that the Northborough location "phones were down again" (hence the AI phone joke). Again? He said he will contact the owner (Alex) who will refund our order. But the Hopkinton human had to be force fed our order details and he did not instill us with any confidence that we will receive a refund. This business model is a recipe for FAILURE! Get a clue, so-called Manager(s). We won't be returning and we will spread the word to advise our community to steer clear of this pathetic lack of customer service establishment.
