I've lived in the area for about a year now, and I've been searching for the best sub shop around. I'm looking for a place that has all around good pizza/calzones, salads, and sandwiches. After last night, I think this place could be it! I ordered a chicken gyro dinner which was delicious. I could choose rice and salad as my sides instead of just fries in coleslaw (those were options as well but it was nice to have a choice). The portions were huge! I ordered my food at 5:30 on a Saturday night, and the food was ready quickly. The staff were nice when I walked in to pick up my order. I am already looking forward to trying more food from here! It doesn't look like the nicest place from the outside, but this is a place you don't want to judge off its looks! read more

I used to come here when I attended school in the area and it's sad to say the quality has changed. I'm from NYC so I know a good slice. Your cheese shouldn't be completely brown, why is the pizza so overcooked? The dough was hard as well. They were stingy with the Buffalo wings sauce on the wings. I use to love this place. I visit it every time I pass by as I don't live in the area. The old owners use to treat you like family. That is no longer the case. Trolley Stop is under new management. The original owners have retired and sold it. As soon as you walk in , you can notice the new management. Instead of the old menu boards, they now have HD LCD screens and a new paint job. But sadly the taste in the menu is down. The French fries which were awesome are now the horrible breaded fries that taste like every other bad fries you've ever come across. The pizza sauce now taste like ketchup with water and the cheese tastes like Kraft Mozzarella (bad). And the grinders, we had a chicken cutlet and a veggie ones, have no taste and are all soggy. As you can see by the picture attached, they can't even stack the ingredients right on the grinder. Oh well, back to John's Pizza...where at least the food still taste decent it you have to put up the rude his behind the counter. read more

I went in and of the three guys working, one had no mask at all and another had his nose sticking out. Pizzas were okay but a little pricey. It was a long wait for two large pizzas, longer than I am used to. As far as the ambience, this place could definitely use some updating, as well as a good cleaning. Not only were the floors dirty but so were the doors. I will not be going back. They never, ever keep me waiting, and often they have my food ready before the estimated wait-time. This place apparently has new owners, and the food has improved dramatically. Definitely a good option for Greek pizza shop food. I do think the portions are larger than they need to be though. The place changed hands a while back. The new owner, Rafaat, has expanded the menu, made some nice interior changes, and offers wonderful customer service. Tell him how you like it made and he will try to accommodate you. I don't like a lot of cheese on my pizza. so I always ask him to just go easy on the mozzarella and it always comes out great. We've been getting the chicken wings for every Patriots game this season. We haven't been disappointed once. The wings are always just crisp enough. read more

Good basic pizza is served here. Like other reviewers I feel the taste has declined under new ownership, but I do not think it is to a huge degree, and customer service is good. Prices are fair and they offer coupons and deals, for example for free drinks. They do not deliver, but being the only pizza shop in town I guess they don't have to. read more

Great sub shop, while some people think the pizza is the best, everyone will agree that the pizza is really good. The place is friendly, the servers pleasant and hardworking. In an area where food is scarce this place is a godsend. Worth the stop. Sometimes on Fridays they give a free pizza if you buy two, this works out well on pizza nights. Ever since the economy went down the toilet, this place has been on life support. It use to be great tasting, great prices and a fun place to be. It was next to a college, what was there to not like? More on that later. As the economy turned worse, they started raising prices. A large grinder once cost $4.50, now you're lucky if you get it at double the price. Soon thereafter, I started seeing signs which warned people that they would get a free ride in the police cruiser if they stole anything. Soon thereafter they installed surveillance cameras. They also started cutting corners on the small things, like ketchup. The ketchup packs went form Heinz Ketchup with Chinese writing to a no name brands that are basically colored water with salt and pepper. Oh, and about the college? You see, the college is having financial problems so they closed. Now Trolley Stop has probably lost 95% of it's business. Even the police has lost business now that the shoplifters are gone. We recently went a couple weeks ago to eat. $30 for 2 people. Yes, they raised prices more and are now penalizing you if you don't pay cash. And the food. It's tasting horrible. Their fries were some of the best I ever tasted. Now, they taste horrible due to the fact that the deep frying oil is being used longer than to should. Their bread, if not toasted will taste a bit stale. The soft drink cooler, barely 1/3 stocked. Their pizza? Taste like it was made with white American cheese instead of mozzarella. If the college doesn't open, I doubted this place will be around next Christmas. read more

Steak and cheese....only problem: no cheese and apparently someone dumped a container of salt in it. Called to complain and instead of addressing how they can convert this into a satisfactory experience, the woman says, "that is how we do it now, we put the cheese on the bottom. There is cheese on it, I put it on there myself. Next time tell us if you want cheese on top". We simply want CHEESE on a steak and CHEESE. My husband is eating it, looking at it, picking it apart and there is no cheese on it. We will not ever be going back nor will we recommend to anyone which is sad because there was a day when it was well run, with great customer service and the food was good. This place used to be one of my favorite places to go and when I was attending high school, it would be the attraction every Friday. Their food used to be amazing but the people who owned it were super nice and genuine people. Now the place is under new ownership and the place is awful. Placed on online order just for it to not be ready, and then we paid for extra dressing that they failed to provide, when asked for more they put up a fight. Never going back there again and extremely disappointed in the new owners. I don't see this place lasting long with this type of customer service. They also made us wait 25 minutes in the shop to even ask if we were all set. Absolutely devastated. read more

I've eaten here quite a few times. I really like their salads and most of their subs but it's a shame because their pizza is terrible. I mean shouldn't that be the best menu choice at a PIZZA place? their chicken is even worse. and that's sad too. if you really want a terrible experience order chicken ON a pizza. but I still love their steak and cheese and I used to always enjoy going there and getting a drink out of the cooler because they always had the good soda. they were right next to a college but the college shut down so I really don't understand where their business is coming from now. Great Pizza place. We moved into the area about a year and a half ago and I have five kids so pizza night is a life savor some nights. We left a good one where we lived prior and I was very happy to find The Trolley Stop. We have been going there at least once a week ever since. The pizza is very good and so are the sandwiches. They do a good job with some creative items on the menu and the prices are very reasonable. The service is always great and the wait is usually 15 minutes or less. I would recommend the chicken sub, eggplant sub, spaghetti and meatballs (great portion size), the eggplant fries and of course the pizza. read more
