There are two things that make a company one that I want to work with. The first is the quality of their work. The second is the business side. Are they punctual, polite, quick and accurate in pricing, etc. We have had two experiences with Classic Plumbing. The first was a few months ago when we needed a new hot water heater and needed it to be moved to a new location. Their plumber came out to assess our needs and the next day we received a written quote to replace and move the hot water heater. The next week when the plumber returned to do the work, he said the quote was only to move it, not to replace it. That made no sense because our old hot water heater was from 1978. After a few calls to the office and showing a copy of their quote, they did honor it, even though they had to eat that loss. The plumber did a good job and the hot water heater works great. But, there continued to be communication issues between the plumber and the office. He did not finish the job in 1 day so he told us he would return the following day. I stayed home and my kids stayed home during a summer vacation day. At about 1 I finally called the office and they said the plumber had not informed them that he did not finish so we were not on the schedule. That was a Friday so we had no hot water heater until the weekend when they returned on Monday. ANd my kids and I had to stay home again. It was frustrating. So, the quality of their work was 5 stars but the organization and frustration lowered that rating to 2 stars. This week we had another experience with Classic Plumbing. We are doing a remodel and adding a bathroom where a previous owner removed it. We decided to have the old pipes looked at and replaced. 2 plumbers from Classic came out in a timely manner. They were polite and easy to work with. They got under the house to take notes and I was told I would have an estimate first thing the next morning (Friday). Friday at 3:30 I was called and told that it would not be ready until Monday morning and work could begin Tuesday. On Monday, we were still delayed but I was assured that they would have it first thing Tuesday and they would still come do the work that day. This was delaying our other construction so we were anxious to get work started. Tuesday morning they called to give me the quote and I felt like he was coming up with it while on the phone "well, I think the plumber said it would take 2-3 days and at a rate of $210 an hour for 2 plumbers to work on it, it would be...lets see.. I guess about $6000" What!!!??? It took 2 business days plus a weekend to shoot off a number on the fly just an hour before they were supposed to show up? Well, that was $2000 MORE than a corporate plumber that the Classic Plumber assured me they would come in under. So, I told Classic Plumbing that this would be our last phone call. So, if you need good work but are willing to suffer through those issues, this is a great plumber. But, I do not have time for it! read more

After moving into our new house in Plano we discovered we had plumbing leak. At 1st we called different Co who said we needed entire new Plumbing System. We then contacted Classic who responded immediately assessed problems & quoted us price. Work started within day or 2. They had to dig tunnel under house one end to other. Men were pleasant & knew their business. Only issue we had was with the Crew who refilled tunnels. They were from a contracted Co. They showed up late everyday they were here. Classic got job done. Alert if you need big or small job I highly recommend. Be aware it will take 2 full weeks to replace plumbing. They also guarantee their work something almost unheard of with Plumbing problems. read more

We have a hot water leak under our slab (we knew this because another plumber had already told us so) and we called Classic Plumbing to tell us where the leak was and to get a quote. The guy came, pointed a thermal gun to our floor and told us we did have an under slab hot water leak. He couldn't tell us exactly where it was at. He gave us a quote, charged us $200 and left. We paid $200 for him to tell us what we already knew. read more

I recently had Classic replace an outdoor faucet. They did a great job on the faucet, but as the plumber was finishing, he announced that they don't do the masonry work anymore. This came as a complete surprise, since Classic had replaced another outdoor faucet approximately 6 months ago which included the masonry work. The caulking on the latest job was, to say the least, unsightly. Getting this small of a job done can be a hassle and an expense. Thy guy Classic recommended didn't return messages and when I finally made contact, promised 'early next week'. Early next week came and went, so I found someone else to do the work. Judging from the difference in the bills for the two outdoor faucets Classic replaced, they charged $100 for the masonry work (which was very well done). I wound up paying $175 to have another company come in and do the job. read more

I had them come out to do a simple cleaning of scales on my electric tankless. They didn't bother to come in and check to see if hot water was working. They did try to sell me on a gas tankless and the guy even went outside to say they would have to put in gas pipes in the yard blah blah blah..um..the gas valve is already underneath my electric unit should I ever want to convert back which leaves me to believe they don't know how to work on tankless heaters. When they left and I was 250 into paying them, the led light would not stay on. Called them back and when another worker took off the cover the flow sensor wire looked like it was pulled or cut. Their response was buy the part or a new unit and they would put it in. THEY ARE THE ONES THAT BROKE IT...ARE YOU KIDDING. So we call back like they said to have them install the very same unit...kind of takes the guess work out of it and all electric and plumbing have been done previous...and they are telling me I have to wait until next week to get it done and they would charge 140 an hour to do it...that would be a negative from me and I do not recommend this company at all. read more

Had slow drip coming from my side of the water meter under the man hole cover out at my front sidewalk. I called Classic plumbing, and they sent a plumber real quick. He looked at my leak, got on his stomach, cut the connector off with his little string saw, replaced the connector, and the leak was fixed. This was all done for the price of a service call - $105, and in about 40 minutes time. Tremendous! read more

Classic sent Jim out to repair a toilet that wouldn't fill with water. He not only fixed that, but a stopped up sink and another nagging issue I had been putting off. I can honestly say that Jim was the nicest, most professional, honest, skilled technician of any repair person we have ever had at our home in over 30 years. I scheduled an appointment for Tuesday, 10/11/16, for Classic Plumbing to replace the diverter in my kitchen faucet and replace four valves in the bathroom. The customer service prior to the appointment was good, and the plumber showed up within the two hour window scheduled. However, this is where it went downhill quickly. When he arrived, he didn't say anything, he didn't even introduce himself. I let him in and asked if he wanted to start with the kitchen faucet or the valves in the bathroom, and he responded that he would start in the kitchen. He reeked of cigarettes which I find very offensive, and huffed and puffed as he began trying to figure out where the diverter went; he then asked me where it went, and if any directions were sent with the part. I stated that I thought it was located in the housing, which it was, and he took the faucet apart to get to it. He then asked if a tool came with the part as he wasn't sure how to get it out. I called their office as I was very concerned at this point, and when I came back into the room he was on the phone with another plumber. He smashed the end of a cooper pipe to use (a wide screwdriver or coin would have worked) as a tool, and broke the part leaving the use of a screwdriver impossible. He then put the faucet back together and headed towards the front door. I asked if someone was coming to help him, and he stated that he was leaving and another plumber would come to fix it when he finished the job he was on. I asked about the valves, and he stated that the other plumber would do all of it. Multiple calls to Classic that day resulted in being told that they had not heard from any of the other plumbers. It is now 11/14/16, and I have not heard back from them, and since that time, the pipe they repaired under my sidewalk a two years ago has broke and had to be repaired again because Classic did not repair it correctly. According to the City of Plano's Inspector, it is illegal to have a connection under the concrete slab, and since Classic never registered for a permit and had the repair inspected, the repair was made with connections under the sidewalk, and filled in without an inspection which has resulted in another repair. My $300.00 faucet has had to be replaced because their plumber broke the part and left it. I am 58 years old, and I have never experienced such incompetence and horrible service in my entire life. First visit for stopped up sink - plunged it. We could have done that ourselves. But they did replace the faucet. Didn't fit correctly so base now sits 1/4 inch above the counter. Second visit for stopped up sink - yep, first visit didn't resolve the problem. Ran cable down the vent pipe. It got stuck so they assumed there must be a hole in the pipe - only a couple thousand dollars to fix - just need to jackhammer the kitchen floor. But wait! What if there's not a hole? Can you send down a camera like other plumbers do?! Third visit was to try to unstick the cable from our pipe. No luck so they cut the cable and took their expensive equipment with them, leaving us with a stopped up sink (yeah....still) and now with a cable stuck in our vent pipe. But they agreed to come back for a fourth visit to let us know where the end of the cable is at so we could determine the cost for removing it. No call...no visit. Called to have video inspection performed for insurance claim. Was told only way could guarantee it being performed today was to pay $220/ hr overtime. I agreed as did not want to wait 3 days. The send out a guy with a roto- rooter to unclog the pipe. Not what I needed done. Their idiocy cost me an extra $2500.00. read more

I will never use Classic Plumbing again. They don't guarantee there work, when there is a problem they want to charge you again for fixing there on mistake. Be Aware stay away from this company. read more
