They do not care about the people who own the properties and pay them. They do not have enough people to manage the properties they handle.

There was one instance where they actually lost a check that was automatically mailed to them by our bank and they didn't tell us for 4 months--little awkward to get a phone call from the owner about why we didn't pay our rent due to their error. Never apologized for it, but whatever. Mistakes happen. 2) Got entire deposit back, minus $50 after living at the apartment for 2ish years. I feel like it was okay, although I do think we took SUCH good care of the place so I would have appreciated the full deposit back. I also had to bug them a couple times about it. 3) The building/apartment itself had a lot of issues...they couldn't really address them because the owner didn't want to. So that kind of sucked, but I can't hold that against them. Advice if you're a tenant here: 1) Send emails; keep everything in writing. Follow up. Be courteous and professional. Keep things documented just to cover your own butt.

Im a pretty handy person, but I was still very disappointed in the job they did. It was almost always a "band aid" solution and not spending actual money to just get it done right the first time. Even when the job was done, it wasnt very professional and nobody from the management company came to inspect any job being done, which if they saw in person, would not likely approve of. There were times where the job left the house in a mess, dust everywhere, and when provided evidence photos, they made us hire someone to clean it for something that wasnt even our fault. When heavy machinery was used ( always on for almost two weeks straight) and provided evidence of over $200 of electricity bill increases, they made me pay for it. The people in the office are nice, I just think they need to do a better job of the operational processes and spend money on decent workers to get the job done right the first time so people dont need to keep coming back. This was a nightmare, I would highly recommend not renting from this property.

We were showed homes by Bruce and Daniel who were both wonderful as well. Definitely experts on their respective properties and genuinely care about their communities and residents. It's apparent JRealty is fair, and quality in the scheme of landlord of the South Bay. Highly recommend based on our experience so far.

I've spent 6 months trying to resolve a parking issue at one of JRealty's properties, and the…read moreexperience has been incredibly frustrating. Management admitted in writing that another tenant was given a second parking space in error on their lease. They also admitted they recommended removing that space because it was causing problems. The vehicle associated with this improperly assigned parking space occupies an area that is not identified as a parking spot on the parking map that was provided to me by management. Instead of being parked in a designated space, the vehicle extends into the common driving and maneuvering area tenants must use to access their assigned parking spaces causing daily risk damage to my vehicle. Whats even more revealing about this company is how the issue was handled! I repeatedly raised concerns that the parking arrangement could present code, safety, or fire access issues. Rather than addressing the problem directly, I was told management was waiting on city inspection results and that those results could affect the outcome. Months later, I was informed that the inspection they had me waiting for was actually a habitability inspection and that the specific parking location I had been complaining about was not one of the spaces that was evaluated. Think about that! I was led to believe the inspection would address my complaint, only to later find out that the disputed parking space had never been reviewed at all. I spent months waiting for inspection results that never actually addressed the parking issue at the center of the dispute. Even after admitting the parking space was assigned in error, admitting the situation was problematic, and acknowledging that the disputed space wasn't evaluated during the inspection, management still has not provided a meaningful solution. I have attached screenshots of the emails so people can read the correspondence and draw their own conclusions. Based on my experience, get everything in writing. Keep every email, save every photograph, and document every interaction. The only reason I was able to uncover the inconsistencies in management's explanations was because I maintained a complete paper trail. Without it, this would have been reduced to my word against theirs.

Under the previous system, autopay payments for my HOA fees did not include service fees. During the rollout of the new system, homeowners were informed that online payment would be available, but there was no clear step-by-step guidance on how to properly set up or navigate the process. After I made my initial payment, I was charged a service fee, which led me to contact Scott Management. I was then informed that they had moved my account into the non-service-fee autopay enrollment. This change only occurred after I raised the issue, and there was no clear option or direction available in the system for me to make that adjustment myself. I requested reimbursement for the fee and followed up for about two months. The request was escalated to upper management but was never resolved, no further communication was made after the escalation, and no reimbursement was issued before our HOA transitioned to a new management company. The core issue was not the amount of the service fee itself, but the lack of clear instructions during the rollout of the new portal, conflicting guidance about my account status, and a payment process that resulted in an unexpected charge. Follow-up did not lead to resolution. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Scott Management due to repeated communication issues, lack of follow-through, and unresolved concerns.

HOA money wasted on "upgrades" like a new rfid/fob system where it barely works or people have to stop and get out of their cars to use. Nothing wrong for the remote entry system that has worked for years. Now it just delays people getting in. They added a fancy sign that shows useless memos or "fake" threats to tow or say "you're on camera." Cool, violators are on camera, but guess what, the violators who are breaking our gate bar don't live here. Landscaping was redone in certain parts and other areas just left alone. Not order or plan to anything. They can't even repaint parking lines that are completely faded, but let's remove old and plant new trees Ridiculous fees on parking. $100 per car monthly locked to individual car. On-site manager can't comprehend that some people need to roster cars to charge their vehicles. Needed to get a board member to accommodate us because we have multiple EV's and on different nights, a different car may need to be in the garage/outside. They threaten to tow cars, but I haven't seen any cars get towed or removed even though many cars don't have a permit. But let's charge the honest people paying an increasing amount.
