He had serious skin issues from what was most likely years of flea infestations (bad skin thickening) and he was never aggressive- but very tender to handle. Since bringing Beans not only has he been groomed well- he has so much trust and patience in being handled at home as well. He has no more skin thickening, very rarely has skin issues, and his quality of life has greatly improved. Prior to Derrick I took him to a mobile pet salon that wasn't very reliable, and tried my best to groom him at home. It's amazing to see how well he's aged because of his regular grooming. In addition we recently got a rescue who is a crazy mix- but part golden retriever and part Maltese (if you could believe it). She doesn't generally like men but Derrick is so kind and confident that she doesn't generally just fine. He gives me tips on stinky ears, broken nails, and all kinds of things. I moved to Sebastopol and still will take my dogs to see him, he always has time and great advice about whatever I am curious about.

I hadn't been here in a while. I think the last time they saw my dog was around Covid time. However, I think their service is very reasonably priced. I will also say I think they did a fun great job with my pup. Most places wanna charge you over $100 luckily this place was under 100 and it included the wash as well as a nail trim and she didn't look horrible after . I am glad they were able to take me in the lady at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. I will definitely be going back here for Haircut for my pup.

She was also lacking social skills like knocking me over at a doorway or jumping up on everyone. Our little girl spent 7 days boarding with Fit n furry for training. The fabulous trainer Marie Haven did a great job. On the last day we went for a human training class. We were taught human skills to continue her training. Marie worked wonders. My dog is in check with my cats, off the furniture, she waits at doorways and leaves things when told. I am much happier at home and I believe my dog is too. Marie is very patient, supportive, knowledgeable and kind. She is the perfect trainer.

I called Fit N Furry to talk to them about boarding my cats. I received a text message back from Bailey and we had a text conversation, and got a tour set up. On the day of the tour, I called the center just to confirm and they had no idea what I was talking about. I was told there was no one there that would be able to give me a tour. The person on the tour scheduled me for a tour weeks away. I texted the original number back and asked what had happened. I actually asked them if they were human, because I'd had experiences before of AIs just not forwarding information to a human. But I was assured, via text, that I was speaking to a human and that they were sorry and their manager would reach out shortly. (To this day no one has reached out.) Weeks went by and I went in for my rescheduled tour. I walk in and they had no record of a tour but they would be happy to show me around. Just fill out this form. I filled out the form. The person at the desk looks at my form and goes "oh, your cats are too old to board here." Excuse me? After all this, my cats are ineligible anyway? At this point I had spent 3 hours in the car and who knows how long on the phone and text with them, getting at this sorted out. If this is the level of organization that is visible from the outside, I shudder to think what the behind-the-scenes organization looks like.

They offered to reschedule for later that afternoon, which I appreciated. I asked if they would consider a small courtesy discount because of the inconvenience, and they declined. I was also told that the groomer would be grooming my dog for the first time, which I politely corrected because he had actually groomed my dog twice previously. The owner subsequently called me and told me I was being rude and canceled the rescheduled appointment. I was extremely disappointed by how the situation was handled. I was trying to address an inconvenience and find a reasonable resolution, not create a confrontation. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a business handles them. Unfortunately, I did not feel respected as a customer, and I will be taking my dog elsewhere.

The place is down a long, jacked-up country road that will wreck your car if you're not careful. There is usually law enforcement there doing something with their animals, which makes me not very comfortable at all. We got out 6 y/o pandemic dog in 2020 and quickly learned that he was very negative towards bathing, among other things. We were desperate to find a good groomer that would be calm with him and get him the care he needs. We asked our vets at the time they suggested this young lady because she used to work at one of their other locations and had training. Cole was about 11 lbs back then, a chihuahua and Italian greyhound mix so he's fast and moody. But she (I forgot her name as of writing this, she was the only one and sole owner, Miranda?) The first 2 times, I believe, were fine. Then I noticed there was some bleeding on the nailbed portion of one of his claws on his back leg. He was only getting his claws grinded at that time so his nailbed bleeding was confusing to me. He favored it for a day or two because it looked like it hurt... I saw it when we got home from his appointment and texted her and asked (not in an angry way either) if she knew what had happened to his foot and got no response. Usually, she would invoice me by sending a link to pay afterward but this time she didn't.... She never responded, never sent an invoice, so I didn't pay for his last bath and didn't answer an email I sent a couple of months where I reached out to see if all was OK since I saw new reviews here. So, yeah....maybe she didn't like me, my dog, or maybe the people who own the place it's located told her not to have me back on the property...at least these are the things I think when I have no answers to go from. Miranda did just that, it took four hours for her to complete a full groom on our springer spaniel. He came out of the salon a new man! So beautiful, clean and looking sharp. I imagine I was just as nervous as Barry after I dropped him off at the salon and within an hour she had given me a text update to let me know he was doing great. She put both of us at ease. We are so grateful.

I…read morehave 3 dogs: 7 yr old Vizsla, 2 yr old chocolate lab, & 8 month old golden retriever, along with 2 young children, so I haven't been able to give them the attention they need. Our vizsla was super vocal, our lab is big strong and dumb, and our golden had zero recall and was super destructive. I initially reached out to them because our vizsla and golden got into a fight, both ended up bleeding. I was nervous to leave them alone or have my kids around them after that. Our goldens breeder recommend them. A few weeks later, the kennel, Olivet, that our vizsla and lab have stayed at before ended up rejecting them for a stay because our golden was afraid of her own shadow and had major social anxiety, our lab doesn't get social cues and is just too big and strong, and our vizsla is too loud. Individually they're manageable, but together they're too much and they don't want to be separated. They worked with the dogs then with me on what they've done. I use to have to walk them separately our lab would just pull me, our golden would pancake and refuse to walk, I can now walk all 3 of them together in a heel position. Our vizsla is also less vocal at home. Our golden listens, but only with an e collar or prong collar on. We plan on continuing training for our lab and golden to work on recall and socialization.
