The pain was caused by roughly using a nail brush as part of the prep and trimming cuticles too quickly/closely, even causing bleeding. Something else that was odd about this pedicure-I had to strongly insist upon a second coat of polish. The end result looks great which was a positive. However, unlike my previous YELP reviews in which I strongly endorse establishments or services, I cannot broadly recommend the pedicure service here from the provider who serviced me. Hopefully this was a one-off experience or someone having a bad day.
