Great experience! Saw this on TikTok and thought I had to come because it is skill based and not rigged to take my money. I got good value for what I put into it and came out satisfied. The staff were super nice and helpful and I came away with prizes I'm happy with. I'd love to see this place bigger in size in the future but couldn't be happier with what I got out of it vs what I put in.

This establishment is inside the shops at Montebello. I wanted to find a place to take my child on his birthday. He had so much fun and had such a good time. The staff here were really helpful and friendly. And we got to meet the owner who I really appreciate. Thank you for being so kind to my child he's been through so much this outing made his day! Claw daddy is located in the Montebello mall, right in the center... They have a lot of machines that have decent sized stuffies and the payout rate on the machines are good enough that we had a great time. You can collect prizes to change to a larger stuff animal. Fun!

Claw machines here are legit . They have very good grip . The place feels , clean,fun vibes and the associates are friendly. I highly recommend this place . We went in for a lil fun and ended up winning 5 plushies .

I go to A LOT of claw machine arcades and Claw Daddy is the most fair one that I've been to. It's a fairly small arcade, located inside the Montebello mall. Each game takes between 8-12 credits (average about $1.40-$2.20 per play). While it is a little more expensive per play, I think the claw machines are easier to win at compared to other competitors The staff are super friendly and helpful. They even gave a little tutorial with tips to win, such as double tapping the button to close the claw and you can ask them to reposition plushies or exchange prizes from within the same machine. While I was there, the staff were constantly restocking and repositioning the plushies They offer a trade up program, ranging from 5 up to 35 plushies. I was able to win 13 plushies for $30 and exchange for the prizes I wanted, Gudetama and Pusheen. By the way, the trade up prizes appear to be official/licensed plushies! They offer jumbo prizes from 15 to the giant Hello Kitty for 35 plushies, which is pretty reasonable. Tip: If you're trying to exchange for a larger prize, focus on the 8 credit machines. It seemed easier to win and quickly help me reach my trade up goal

WOW, i am so glad i stumbled across claw daddy! we came in about 40 minutes before closing, but the service was so nice. he asked if it was around first time and gave us a quick run down. you get a freebie with every $10 spent & the more you spend, the better the deal. we ended up spending $30 and won 12 plushies. each play was a little over $1, but it was basically a guaranteed win. the claws are so strong.

This was an amazing experience all around for my two girls and myself. When we set foot in there I was ready to throw away $50 easily with two grumpy kids who possibly didn't win, as this is my usual experience with these places. But hey it's summer and it's hot I needed to occupy some time. So I braced myself and went in. Immediately I loved how clean and organized the arcade was. The claw machines were fully stocked with all sorts of plushies. I was immediately greeted by a staff member and he was so enthusiastic to answer questions and explain to me the packages and this is where they are different than the rest. He did a demo for us on how to use the machine and showed us the double tap feature! We purchased a card and started to play. Right after two tries we won our first one! My kids wanted to try their luck on the Totoro after the third failed attempt the attendant said let me help you. And he opened the case and repositioned it. And one more try we got it! My girls we so pumped! After about 45 min or so there we left with a really good haul. Thank you claw daddy. Your service and attentiveness to little customers is so sweet. I appreciate a place like this that isn't out to make kids frustrated and take from mom's wallet. Mom and kids are happy!

Obligatory "I'm a pretty big claw machine enthusiast". Slightly smaller claw machine place located in a shopping mall, prizes were kinda meh. Great staff and easy enough self service kiosk once you get your game card to recharge quickly. I wish they had better prizes, on the left hand side of the store pretty much all the claw machines had prizes that were not very desirable IMO (e.g. rubber balls, weird generic superhero plushies, and so forth) I know that's subjective but even other patrons that were visiting the same time I was were gravitating away from the left side of the store and more on the right side of the store which had prizes like Sanrio, Pokemon, Nintendo -- all of which are arguably way more popular. Managed to get a really cute Cinnamoroll plushie and a few others!

Claw daddy was such a great time! For a small business it was packed and the staff was amazing! Shout out to staff member BREE!!!! She was extremely helpful and super nice and gave great advice on the machines. If you can't win at claw daddy, you grew up with no daddy. If you can't win at claw daddy, you can't win at life! Claw daddy is the best claw machine spot in SoCal! Not even exaggerating!! I've been back 4x already - if I lived closer I'd probably go once a week. Their claw machines aren't rigged and you can actually win a lot! It gives you an option to clamp down by pressing twice on the button on the plush so it gives you more of a chance to drop it in the chute. You can trade up to bigger prizes and they have such quality and cute plushies (Sanrio, Pokémon, and anime). You can also trade for a different plushie in the same machine if you don't like the one you grabbed. Their workers are always very nice and willing to help. I even met the owner one time! He saw me struggling with the cut the string game and gave me some free extra tries as well!

Date of visit: March 7, 2024 Selections: $30 worth of credit + $1 for new card $10 worth of credit Experience: Honestly, this was our second time visiting this place, but the first time actually spending money here because the first visit we looked around and we didn't like any of the prizes we saw. So this time around, we were excited to see prizes we wanted to play for. The employee there was really helpful in explaining how the machines worked after showing us how to purchase our new card from their game card dispenser. He also informed us that when you spend $10 you get a free small prize, however I don't know if that is one prize per visit no matter how many times you get credit because we got a free prize when we spent $30 at first and then when my husband spent another $10, he didn't come back with another small prize. The claw games were easy to play and more about luck than skill since the claw strengths for machines varied. What I liked about winning prizes here is you have an option to switch out the prize you won from the machine with another prize within the same machine. Also, you can exchange the number of wins you get from the claw machines to get bigger and better quality prizes. We decided to keep our prizes since we played for what we wanted and plus the minimum for an exchange was, I believe, five prizes. They also had other games, such as grabbing random Pokemon balls to find a key that is liked to a prize locker, a game where you have to press down on the right moment to have a little hammer knock down a prize, and I think there was another game that involved cutting a piece of string to get a video game console. We definitely would have won more prizes if we gave up on some machines instead of persisted in winning something or waited for the worker to restock machines, but at least we walked away with items we liked. Would definitely come back to see if any of the prizes changed as well as the various games that they had.

Been coming here since they opened and must say that this arcade loves its customers as much as we love them. You never walk away feeling defeated as the machines here don't randomly decided the claw won't close. First visit I met Ahtziry and Rob. Rob the owner brought the fun of Japan with a touch of fairness to the game and brought it locally to our neighborhood. Ahtziry was super sweet welcoming us. Recently went back and met Robert and what a great charismatic guy. He gives great tips and just keeps the spirit alive. People they smile all the time bring happiness to others. Will be a regular of this place for years to come. They have a great mixture of toys from Sanrio, Anime, Pokémon, food packaging like Ramen pillows, and things like South Park lol. The quality of the toys are actually quite good and the large plushes feel like squishmallow stuffing. Overall I HIGHLY recommend you guys to come visit here. They found the perfect mix of fun and games and brought it all into one location. read more

Okay, we gotta get rid of that one negative review from Manuel H. It's the most insanely misleading review I've ever seen, and thank goodness for the 140 other 5 star reviews. I took 2 of my kids here, and let me just say - I'll never play another claw game elsewhere. They won probably 12 plushies, and were squealing with delight every time they won one. And the ones they really wanted? The guy at the front desk let them try a few times, then would just adjust it to help them win it. I freaken loved the experience, and they are dying to go back. They bragged to my other kids about how fun the experience was, so I'm going to have to come back! It was incredibly affordable, and we had a grand time. read more

This fairly small claw machine arcade is located inside the Montebello Center Mall- and packs a big punch. It gets crowded with customers waiting for their chance to score that big plushie. Game card is available for purchase at the kiosk. $20 gives you 36 credits to play and win at the claw machines. Me and my bestie(as adults) had so much fun and yelled the loudest in the store. Most of the kids playing were pretty calm and knew techniques on how to move the claws towards the winning way. Complimentary plushie given when you buy their token card. Overall, had great fun and scored some good plushies. read more

BEST CLAW MACHINE SPOT AROUND! We love claw machines. Every time we pass by one, we have to play. Most places you end up empty handed with a sad child after spending tons of money. Not this place. The employees are fantastic. If they see you struggling on a particular machine, they will give you pointers and even help you rearrange the prizes so it's an easier win. They are constantly changing out the prizes so you can keep coming back. Super cute plushies every time! If you haven't been here yet, You better HURRY! Stop wasting your money at those other places. Hands down one of the best claw machine store I've ever played. Owner is super helpful in helping you win whatever plushie you want. They have plushies ranging from Pokémon to Sanrio characters. The workers will position the plushies so that it's almost a guarantee win. This place is located on the 2nd floor at the Montebello mall. Definitely check them and have fun! read more

Our family won big!! This was our first time here and we spent $100 and got 400 credit (+100 credit). In the end we won 15 small plushies where we traded in two larger plush toys (ninja turtles to be exact). The claw machines were pretty easy. I love that their machines have a double tap feature to where you press it once to have the claw descend and then the second tap closes the claw to grab the plushies. They also had two string cutting machines where you guide a small blade to cut the string attached to the grand prize. And guess what?! We won a PS5!! The staff here are super friendly and helpful from beginning to end. They're a small business so come and support. It's a great place for date night or family fun! Pricey for little kiddos wanting to play and win. 6-12 credits per game and have to double press to play once to drop the claw and once again to grab. Not ideal for little kids as they don't understand that concept. Edit after owner comment. Customer service was good and no issues with staff but thanks for respecting my opinion. read more

I've been obsessed with claw machines and places that offer trade up options so I was excited to see the Montebello Mall had a place, but I was disappointed by how small the place was and that they charge $2-3 per play compared to other places that usually only charge $1. So if you're playing to trade up, the money is going to quickly rack up. read more

Second time here. When it first opened I felt like the prizes were better and the claw machine is not like the others. This time around, my kids will get them but the claw will shake and drop the plush. It happened on 80 % of my kids' play. Would probably come back but not Anytime soon for that reason!!! read more

Honestly this place surpasses my level of expectations by miles, because before coming in here, my boyfriend and I rarely win any claw games. However, after a long day of shopping at the mall today, I managed to get my boyfriend to play anyway, because I know he loves this stuff and I figure that we should at least try it once. I'm so glad we did! I love that if you spend a minimum of $10 you get a free item (a Mario character keychain that you can also wear it as a bracelet). The staff here are so friendly and nice! They welcome you here like it's Disneyland and you're at the happiest place on earth lol. The guy behind the counter was hilarious. I loved that he was cracking jokes and he was also really kind to give me a keychain even though my boyfriend already got one just cuz he got the most unpopular keychain, which was the donkey Kong haha. I felt slightly bad that I didn't choose the next most in stocked character, but I really wanted Yoshi, because the character is one of my favorites to use in the game and it reminds me of all the Dino outings that my boyfriend and I have been to lately, so it meant a lot to me to be able to get that. Thank you! :') I definitely recommend coming here rather than going to Round 1 or any other arcades when it comes to claw machines. I'm so happy my boyfriend was able to get me a Fanny pack that I will definitely wear to all my foodie events and media outings. I also love all the toys i get to keep and show off in my car! Located in the mall in Montebello, right in the middle, on the upper level, across from Forever 21. The actual store is small, maybe 15-20 machines total. The claws actually work! Reasonable grasps, and winnable. You can also trade small plushes for bigger ones. The largest stuffed animals were worth 25 small ones, but there were other trades for like 5/12/15, etc. read more

Staff was friendly and helpful. They have a card system. Costs 4 credits which are 4$ that I didn't like but the claws are strong and almost always guaranteed a win. Just remember to double tap. Can trade prices and upgrade prize! A lot of bootlegs but still cute items! Would recommend and go again I love my items! read more

Super fun and cute plushies! This place has one of the stronger claws. They actually want you to win! The staffs are super nice, and you can even trade the plushie you won for a different style as long as it is within the same machine. I have always managed to walk away with a few plushies each visit. They also have Sanrio characters like Gudetama! Highly recommend! Pro tip: do the double tap method to get a stronger claw grip! The moment the claw grabs onto your plushie, tap it again and it will increase your chance of winning. read more

I'm honestly not sure how this place has a 5 star review. The arcade is quite small, with limited numbers of cute plushies that you'd actually won't mind winning. The claw is weak and keeps dropping your prize. I successfully picked up a Psyduck FOUR TIMES, and each time the claw would loosen and drop the plush. It was extremely disappointing. And at $2 per play, it wasn't cheap. I get that claw machines can be rigged sometimes, but this place is super rigged. We bought a card and loaded it up with $20. We got a free consolation prize with that. After we played off our balance in what seemed like10-15mins, we reloaded another $20 and asked if we can have a second consolation prize. The employees were nice, but they also hesitated to give us a second consolation prize when their sign specifically said "free prize per person for spending at least $10". There were two of us and we spent $40. Can kind of see where their heart is. I won't be back. The Claw in Las Vegas was a much more fun experience, where the employees actually want you to win, and thoroughly enjoy seeing their customers leaving happy. Also it's $1 per play with cute Pokémon, Sanrio and other assortment of stuffed prizes! read more

Omg so amazinggggg!! Robert greeted me and my friends and explained how to play. It was simple and the claw machines were pretty fair. Jesse was super funny and easygoing. Joking around with us and helping me and my friend try and win the box of Labubus. My friend and I laughed so hard and had so much fun!!! 100% will be coming back!!! Love this place!!! This is my and my nephew's favorite arcade claw machine spot! There are a lot of claw machines to choose from, and the space is really spacious, making it comfortable to move around. The machines have a really good grip, which makes winning prizes so much more fun. Shout out to the beautiful staff--they're super friendly and helpful, always making our experience even better. The most rewarding claw machines!!! Not the typical claw machines --here you can easily win a prize . The claws aren't loose and wiggly, it actually grabs and drops a toy down. Plus! they have the cutest plushies and the best prizes. Awesome! Rob (the owner) was such a cool guy. He was friendly and helpful... and he showed us tricks and techniques to successfully grab a toy. Thanks Rob! BTW--Would be nice if you update on instagram what prizes will be available in the machines. So we know what days to come....wink wink! I've been to the Claw in Las Vegas and the claw machines here are way better-- another difference here, you have to purchase a game card for roughly $1.5 (to play). When we went, we got a Demon Slayer lanyard gift with a minimum $10 game purchase. Bring your whole family and come support this small business. This was my first time here and I enjoyed myself. The staff person who helped me today was very patient and nice. There were several things that were different from other claw machine spots. 1: You could win a random prize from the machine and exchange it with a different prize from that same machine. 2: You can rearrange the prizes within the machine for better gripping ability and positioning. 3: You can only upgrade the prizes on the same day. You could upgrade your prizes to trade in for larger ones. The exception to this rule is you cannot trade in the ball prizes and the keychain size prizes. I concluded that the "Cut the Rope" game is rigged LOL. But I'm sure it's doable. It's $1 (4 credits) to activate your card and you can reuse your card for next time. You get a free gift with at least $10 purchase. I traded in 10 plushies for a cute Pokémon face pillow. Larger prizes are to trade in 15 plushies and up. The claw machines grips are strong. Credits per machine ranged from 4, 8, 10, 12, and 16. This spot is located in the Montebello Mall next to Macy's on the second floor. It was a lot smaller than I thought it was. Probably about 20 machines. I'll definitely be back for more prizes! read more

A year and a half after opening, Claw Daddy is still amazing! Strong grips and friendly staff. Most machines 8-12 credits per play. A nice variety of plushies (official Sanrio, Nintendo, Sonic, etc. and cute generics). Ask the clerk to swap out any wins with other plushies from the same machine. this place is incredible!! i see on social media las vegas has a bunch of arcades and claw machine places. i was stoked to see was kinda local to me. their instagram is hott with new prizes and stuffed animals in the machines. the majority of machines were pokemon/hello kitty/etc. worker hispanic with glasses was soo nice and helpful. i legit spent $100 lol! he explains how the place works. also he gives out a free gift. i was shocked how ez it was to win a prize. out of every place ive been this place is the best! ive been really down,sad,depressed lately and i had such a good time here. if u win a prize from a machine u dont want the worker will open the machine and trafe what you want. also if u win a bunch u can trade in for a bigger prize. i will deffinitely be back and i would love to visit other locations as im a huge arcade lover! read more

I love this place but I also hate it. I have always loved plushies as a child and I love seeing my sons just as excited and cherishing their winnings. The reason I hate this place is because I become a person with an addiction. Whether I win or lose, I just keep giving Claw Daddy my money like a degenerate gambler at a casino. In our two trips here so far, I believe we have won about 30+ times and will make a plushie wall at home with our winnings. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Although the store is smaller than what some people expect, I think the layout is great for hopping from one machine to the next and keeping your eyes on your children. Too bad there isn't a little private room in the back to host a gathering. I'd love to throw a kids party here. read more

I will say this is one of the only places where I actually win stuff after spending over $20 lol. I've been here twice and both times I've left with at least one prize after spending at least $20! Some of their plushies are really cute while others look more boot legged (the cinnamoroll for example). The legit Sanrio ones cost more credits compared to the fake stuff. The staff members are friendly and helpful. It can be frustrating seeing everyone win and meanwhile you get nothing LOL but it's still a fun time! Tbh the more $$ you spend, the more likely you are to win at least one thing. read more

I wish I could give this a 10/10 cause Claw Daddy Arcades was amazing , EPIC , a lot of fun! Drove from Anaheim and most def was worth the drive. Great for Kids, Teens, and Adults, the whole Family. BEST PLACE EVER!!! /5 This is what you call a claw machine place. Staff are amazing, they cheer you on and give you tips and help with re arranging plushies in the machine and help when the machines malfunctions. I had so much fun and this is the best place for my love of claw machines. Games are 1-2 dollars and you get a card but they take 2 credits away for a new card but you still end up with a lot in the end! Won so many things and traded it for the big Pikachu!!! The place has been around quite some time and kids do tend to make a mess, but they keep up after it. Parking is for a fee, but sometimes you get a game card that comes with the parking. It can get crowded in the summer and on weekends. We go on week days and have been several times. Now, the prices in here add up fast so be mindful of that, but it is the same as other similar places. Miniature golf is about 16$, a go kart is about 12$, the arcade can really add up so get a card that you can use for the wide variety of games they have. The bumper boats and Disk Thrill Ride are about 12$ per person. We love their little train and that is about 5$. You can get a two hour wrist band and we do that and save a lot that way. All in all the prices are fair. The service there is nice and the place has a lot to offer, you don't have to do it all. There is a lot to do. They also have Birthday Parties there and that is great. It is super fun.

Time to time there are some rhythm games that has faulty censor, but I'm sure it will improve in the future as I've seen this place improve as a whole. One of the downsides for me is Spotcha, as a lot of their "sports" games/machines tends to be faulty and the last 3 times I went, the batting cage especially tends to not be working, but still letting people in. If it needs maintenance, I think people will understand if they put a barricade or a sign that says "under maintenance" rather than just leaving it open and people will just go home disappointed. Keep the actually working ones open, and close/put up a sign might help with maintaining customer satisfaction level. I think they're doing a great job with brining in colab's though!

Coming back years later with somewhat optimistic expectations, it sadly now looks like a shell of what it could have been. On Sunday afternoon, we decided to check out Spo-Cha since we had nothing else to do while hanging out with friends. While I was already anticipating having to use shared equipment, it was honestly really gross seeing communal sports equipment just being hung up after use or thrown in the same bin for the next person to use... and not to mention, everything was VERY sweaty too. There were no attendants actively cleaning equipment (maybe one at the roller rink) and no form of paper towels or sprays to at least allow you to clean between use. Not sure if I was more afraid of potentially getting lice or ringworm, but I tried to avoid touching anything with cloth while I was there. If you're a parent, consider bringing extra disinfectant wipes or hand sanitizer. The bathrooms were not the cleanest but were fine if you're just washing your hands frequently. Not to mention, there were kids running amok throughout the establishment. Again, while it is to be expected, I was still a little concerned seeing there be a lack of parental supervision for a LOT of young kids (toddlers included). Not only is it dangerous for them, who likely don't know any better, but also for older teens and adults trying to avoid knocking them over when they disrupt games or recklessly run into people around the roller rink. While at the very least, most of the sports were fine to play (e.g. billiards, table tennis, volleyball, pickleball, etc.), when it came to the arcade... half the machines were broken. And even if they worked, then a third of those would have something wrong with it. At that point, you'd rather spend your money at Round 1 next door for arcade games and somewhat of a nicer experience. Moving on to the dining area... We did get thirsty after a while and, after noticing a pitcher of water at an empty table, we asked if we could order one as well. The staff (hiding behind the self-order kiosks, since you do not have the option to order at the register) let us know that a pitcher of water costs $8. Needless to say, consider eating and drinking before/after you come here (or just fork up a few extra dollars for a soda instead). Sure, you can say that you get what you pay for, but this place seems to have been going downhill for a while. The only person really working was the employee in a black button up checking us in and out at the counter. He was very courteous and efficient, but seemed pretty overworked. Not sure what things look like behind the scenes, but it doesn't seem like anyone else other than him really cared about the quality or reputation of this place. Overall, if you're looking for a place to kill 3 hours with a $30 budget, you've found it. If you keep your expectations low enough, it's honestly not that terrible of a spot to try different sports or get a little exercise in while having some semblance of fun. But, if you have the chance to avoid it, avoid it. Or instead, consider catching a movie at AMC or heading to Round 1 before it meets the same fate as Spo-Cha.

One thing I can appreciate is that they keep the venue clean, plenty of restrooms around, speakers during the movies are pretty modernized as well which is nice as movie ticket prices these days are not cheap.

Warning: Claw Daddy Is Scamming Families and Kids -- Here's How I'm sick of seeing honest families get taken advantage of by shady businesses, and Claw Daddy -- run by Rob and his staff -- is one of the worst offenders I've seen. They pretend to be a fun, friendly place for kids, but behind the fake smiles, they are running a scheme with their payment and points system. It's a straight-up scam, and people need to wake up. Here's how they do it: We bought two $30 deals -- that's over $60 -- and were supposed to get 150 points per card. Instead of honoring that, they bundled the purchases without telling us -- stealing points we paid for. When we caught the scam and called them out, Jesse, their employee, started shaking, got aggressive, and called security like we were the problem. We were treated with total disrespect even though we were the ones being cheated. Rob, the owner, knows EXACTLY what's going on. It's not a mistake -- it's the business model. They're quick to hand out cheap plushes that cost pennies because they want to distract you from the fact that you're getting ripped off on the real rewards: the points you PAY for. If you don't catch them bundling your purchases, you lose points, and they save money. How many kids go running into that place, swiping cards, smiling and excited -- while their parents unknowingly get cheated out of what they paid for? Hundreds, maybe thousands. This place is the best claw machine spot if you want to have the highest win rate and employees Jesse and the friendly girl who I never got the name helps so much even when I lose I felt like I won the old memories from when you saw a claw machine back in the day when you put money in to try to win big now this place is where I be coming for my family I been coming here since I first step foot in so this is one of the place that gives you great feeling of excitement and makes your inner self come out so for the moments. I stronger recommend this place for anyone with kids as this place is environment is so great for kids and let your kids win prizes with help all the time no way this place is ever bad it's the best place to visit the only thing I kind of wish is to at least know who the owner is as I haven't bump into the him. Today I took my son to Claw Daddy Arcade to celebrate his seventh birthday, and we had an amazing time! Robert and Jesse were incredible. They made us feel so welcome and explained everything clearly. The games were fun, fair, and surprisingly easy to win, which made it even more exciting for my son. This is THE place to go to when you want to actually win prizes for claw machines. Their plushies are really cute and have characters from Pokémon and Sonic and many more. These claws itself are actually really strong and will grab onto the prizes. Each claw game only cost $1-$2. The owner, Rob, is really nice and helpful. He gave me many tips and even offered to move around the plushies in the machines to make them easier to grab! read more
