If I could give Sloane 10 stars, I would. I bought a Santa Fe from Sloane at Clay Cooley Hyundai of Mesquite, and I genuinely cannot say enough good things about her. I was an extremely particular out-of-town buyer looking for a VERY specific car -- exact trim, exact exterior color, exact interior color -- and after dealing with multiple dealerships and an honestly ridiculous amount of nonsense trying to find it, Sloane was the first person who made the entire process feel easy. She was responsive, patient, transparent, and never once made me feel like I was being difficult for asking questions or double-checking details. She tracked down the exact car I wanted, worked with me remotely through the entire deal, answered approximately nine million messages, and made sure everything was correct before I signed. And when there was a last-minute VIN discrepancy, SHE ACTUALLY LISTENED TO ME, investigated it, figured out what happened, and confirmed that the correct vehicle was the one I was getting -- which is exactly the kind of attention to detail you desperately want when you're buying a $50,000+ car from another city. Buying a car is usually one of my least favorite human experiences. Somehow, Sloane made it genuinely enjoyable. If you're buying a Hyundai anywhere in the Dallas area, ask for Sloane. Seriously. I'd been into 2 other Hyundai dealerships in the area that honestly had me ready to switch makes after bad experiences; Elliot and Terry called me back & were super transparent with negotiations and overall pleasant to deal with. This was my first car, and they got me excited about purchasing a car again. Clay Cooley was also the only dealership not to gouge my price up with an astronomical dealership fee, which is so common in these times. The dealership itself is cozy, and even salespeople who aren't working your deal are friendly and interactive. One person offered me water, realized they had run out since it was the evening, and ran to the store to get some for my friend and I. Overall, I can't recommend this place highly enough. One of the other dealers said they could meet the price and have my car on the lot sooner, but I declined because of how great the Clay Cooley staff is to deal with. Kind, honest people. Do not go here. The service advisors are liars. They change the emails so the customers can not leave bad reviews on them. It can cost them thiers jobs. The do work on cars with out customers permissions. The porter Tyrone sells drugs there as well. He says he is a hustler more like a criminal. Clay himself told the service director to lie to customers and say they can do a diagnosis on cars when they could not because they are always short handed because clay or his sons care for their employees. The say 3 days but is actually 3 weeks. If the customer try to pick up they get charged any way. We took a car just for oil change and left supposedly with a oil leak after they did oil change. Ron the service advisor never even told us anything. Never saw him the whole 2 hours we were there for just oil change. Plus he racists towards hispanic when he is hispanic himself. I finally finished the survey. My review but before I send it Raef was my finance guy right? Tanner and Robert made this the most relaxed car-buying experience I've ever had. (Which I never thought was even possible, especially after a Friday workday!) They were friendly, helpful, and genuinely fun to work with, I honestly didn't feel like I was at a dealership at all. With Robert, I never felt pressured, my trade was evaluated respectfully (wasn't even a Hyundai), he didn't try to coerce me into a down payment and made me feel like my voice mattered more than the sale. In fact, he even helped me move some of things out of my car into my new car. Raef was just as great in finance too. Super friendly and made that part quick and easy. I had a frustrating experience when I arrived to pick up my registration sticker for the car I purchased a couple of months ago. The front desk was unwelcoming, and I wasn't offered any assistance. I arrived at the dealership around 5:30 p.m., and there was no one at the reception desk. Several salespeople asked if I had been helped, and when I told them I was there for my registration sticker, they said the receptionist would be back shortly. I waited at least 10 minutes before a girl with black hair came inside from outside and finally assisted me. By that point, the experience already felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. My Santa Fe Sport 2.0 Turbo engine failed with perfect maintenance at 137,000 miles. I was very upset, but the Service Advisor Anibel assured me that the engine was still covered under warranty and there was a Service Bulliten that would give me a free brand new factory built engine. The Engine was free. But I did have to pay to replace all the original belts, hoses, and clamps. The total cost was $600, but that assured the warranty would be intact for another 100,000 miles. I called Clay Cooley service department to acquire about the piece, they told me it wasn't necessary to replace it right away however I plan on going out of town and told the service guy, he called me by name and said to bring it in and they would look at it and just like that they replaced it.
