I was sold an extended warranty with my car for $2900 that I can't even use because financing put the WRONG VIN NUMBER on the policy. The first person I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude to me and made me come in person to get it sorted out. I was understanding at first because the next gentleman I interacted with was kind and told me it would be taken care of it 48-72 hours. It has now been 3 weeks and my car is still messed up. I can't get it worked on because the policy STILL hasn't been fixed. What is going on?!?!? Why am I getting the run around?!? This is Clay Cooley's mistake and I am paying for it, but they don't care because it isn't making them more money. I've been calling Ally every few days to see if any paperwork has been sent in to get the vin number corrected and they just told me they still haven't received anything and the VIN number is still wrong. Tomorrow I'm going to have to drive an hour in person AGAIN to the dealership to see if I can actually get this sorted out. I will never shop here again and I will make sure no one I know shops here again as well. I had a very unprofessional and concerning experience with this dealership, specifically with a salesperson named Alex. From the beginning, I was clear that I take my credit seriously and did not authorize unnecessary hard inquiries. I explicitly stated multiple times and in writing which lenders I authorized (Credit Acceptance, American Credit Acceptance, and Hyundai subprime only) and which lenders I did not authorize due to prior denials. Despite this, a hard inquiry was placed without my clear consent, and afterward communication completely stalled. I followed up several times over multiple days, including calls where I was placed on hold and never called back. At one point, when I attempted to record a call for documentation purposes after hours of waiting, the call was abruptly disconnected. I also informed Alex in advance that my credit was temporarily frozen and that I needed to speak by phone before any further submissions. Which led to denial automatically .That request was ignored. The lack of transparency, follow-up, and respect for consumer consent was extremely disappointing. Very important, had he contacted me on Wednesday or actually called back on Thursday, we would have had a legitimate answer. Instead I was left with one unnecessary hard inquiry. Communication in situations involving credit is extremely important. If a dealership cannot clearly communicate, follow consumer authorization, or return calls in a timely manner, that is a serious issue, especially when credit reports are involved. I would not recommend this location to anyone who values their credit or expects professional handling of a financing process.I want to make it clear that if this matter is not handled appropriately, I will be escalating it by filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and submitting a report to the Federal Trade Commission. I had a frustrating experience when I arrived to pick up my registration sticker for the car I purchased a couple of months ago. The front desk was unwelcoming, and I wasn't offered any assistance. I arrived at the dealership around 5:30 p.m., and there was no one at the reception desk. Several salespeople asked if I had been helped, and when I told them I was there for my registration sticker, they said the receptionist would be back shortly. I waited at least 10 minutes before a girl with black hair came inside from outside and finally assisted me. By that point, the experience already felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. I came here on an appointment at 7:30am on a Saturday. They have people coming in 10 minutes earlier to setup up shop. I came here for the free oil change and multi-point inspection. After reading some of the reviews here, I was worried that this oil change was going to take quite some time, but they proved me wrong. They got my information really quickly but did not give me the paper work of what kind of work they were doing. I was a little worried they might do something I did not approve of and charge me, but they did not. The oil change and inspection took around 90 minutes to do which is not too bad as that is what it usually takes for most dealerships to get done with the car on. If I could give zero stars, I would. My niece recently went to Clay Cooley Hyundai for a service appointment to replace a flat tire on her brand-new 2024 Santa Fe SEL. While she was waiting, a salesman named Jermaine Brown approached her with the typical "What if I can get you into a 2025 model?" sales pitch. Things quickly went downhill from there. She entertained the idea, and they ran some numbers. However, Jermaine only provided a monthly payment figure without offering a full breakdown of costs. It took 40 minutes for him to finally provide a detailed pricing sheet, which revealed that they lowballed her trade-in value. On top of that, three different people tried to pressure her into closing the deal, talking in circles, and even asking, "Where else are you going to get a better deal?" When I reviewed the numbers, they were nowhere near what she wanted. She decided to walk away, but that's when Jermaine's unprofessionalism shined. He began bashing me, claiming I didn't know what I was talking about and boasting about how much money he makes as the "top salesman" at the dealership--as if that was supposed to convince her to buy the car. The most shocking part was when Jermaine suggested she return her 2024 Santa Fe to the bank--a car she's only had for three months--and "start over" with the 2025 Limited. Not only is this terrible financial advice, but it's also completely unethical. Why would anyone suggest something that would ruin her credit and set her back financially for years, all for the sake of making a sale? To make matters worse, they lied about the numbers repeatedly. The manager, Elvis, claimed she'd receive $28,000 for her trade, but the final sheet showed only $27,000--and he tried to justify it with "tax credits." They also lied about available rebates, saying there weren't any, even though the car had $3,000 in rebates. This dealership embodies everything wrong with car sales--lies, manipulation, and zero integrity. Shame on Jermaine Brown and Elvis for their tactics. I'm not upset because she didn't get the numbers she wanted; I understand how sales work. I'm furious because of the lack of professionalism, ethics, and respect. He is very professional, knowledgeable, upbeat, and you can tell he truly believes in the product he sells. The lacking star in my review is for the add-ons to the pricing the dealership charges and will not remove. We were able to get into the same vehicle at another local dealer the same day for several thousand less. (The features they offer at Clay Cooley are fine for some I am sure but they do not serve use in many ways. The savings at this time was more important.) The add-one offered are shown in the photos. I had an absolutely terrible experience with Clay Cooley of Mesquite's service department. Their customer service was non-existent and I was left completely in the dark about the status of my car and what I scheduled to be done (oil change) wasn't done within the 5 hours they had my car. After waiting for weeks for a loaner car that was supposed to be included with my Genesis purchase, I finally scheduled an oil change and recall appointment in which my husband had to drive me to and from both ways because nobody could ever tell me when a valet service appointment would be available and my car was overdue at that point per its alerts. (Don't trust them if they say they will call you back, add you to a list, etc.) I had to call several times throughout the day to ask for an update, and when I finally received a text from the service advisor, it was only to tell me that my car was being washed and would be ready in 10 minutes. When I arrived, I was shocked to find out that they had only done the recalls and not the service I had scheduled. The service advisor even argued with me about my car needing an oil change, despite the fact that my car was telling me it was overdue for one and the sticker they put on my windshield is past the mileage and date for needing service. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the service department at Clay Cooley of Mesquite. Their lack of communication and disregard for my time and needs as a customer was unacceptable. I would not recommend their service department to anyone and I would not recommend buying a Genesis if you are looking for the level of customer service and quality of car they advertise coming with that brand, you get the exact same as their cheapest Hyundai cars. read more

After you sign the offer, you go to finance where they print out all of the actual documents. I discovered that the monthly price on the offer sheet included $3,257.77 in charges (interest higher than agreed, service plans, warranties, etc.) above and beyond the agreed upon price on the offer sheet.
