No one likes the car buying process. Honestly, I'd rank it somewhere between going to the DMV and assembling furniture without instructions. Until this time. We bought a 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy from Clay Cooley Hyundai in Terrell, and for the first time ever, the process was actually enjoyable. The whole team was fantastic! Brent was my salesman and was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and never made me feel pressured. He answered every question I had and made sure everything in my new Santa Fe was set up and personalized before I left the dealership. Daniel, finance manager, was equally amazing. He was transparent, straightforward, and didn't play games or waste time. From beginning to end, he made sure we were 100% comfortable and happy with everything. You can tell these guys care more about building relationships than just making a sale. We were so pleased, we recommended them to my mother in law and she purchased a vehicle from them the very next day!! They treated her like gold! And my Santa Fe? Absolutely perfect. I wish I could give them more stars. I live in east Texas, and my local Hyundai dealership didn't have the exact model that I was looking for so I got on the internet in search of the one I wanted. I found it at Clay Cooley in Terrell, which is a little out of the way for me, but I filled out the "request info" anyway. Within minutes, Jerry called me and set up an appointment to come take a look. When I got there, he had the car waiting at the front door. He was very knowledgeable and helpful but not pushy, unlike any dealership I have visited in numerous years. Things I liked most about my experience: 1. Straight forward, no BS 2. The fact that when it was time to talk numbers, there was no shady running back and forth to the sales manager saying "let me see what I can get done for you". NO, the sales manager, John actually came to me to make the deal. 3. The general manager, Wes, came out to personally thank me and even took time to visit with me while waiting for paperwork to be drawn up. Overall, it was a surprisingly easy experience. Even though it is out of the way and not local for me, I won't hesitate to go make the trip back for service when the time comes. I will update that experience as well when the time comes. This was the best car buying experience for us. The people were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Brad did an EXCEPTIONAL job at making us feel comfortable.....like we were family. He's very knowable about the car and could answer any question I asked. He stayed with us even after everyone had gone home to go over our new vehicle, setting up the technology and making sure we were comfortable with everything. He even called me on my way home from the dealership to make sure I was ok with the settings on the car. So very thankful for that. Definitely went above and beyond what I expected. I recently bought a used car at Clay Cooley Hyundai in Terrell. It was a superb experience. I came in to the dealership just before they closed for the day, but they stayed late in order to process my paperwork and complete the sale. Wesley, the manager, and Daylon, the sales person, were both very helpful and low pressure. I was buying the car for my son, and I didn't realize that my son would have to sign the paperwork in order to have his name placed on the title. James helped me through the entire process and made everything feel simple and stress-free especially since it was my first time bringing my car in. My visit was for the 5,000 mile checkup for my new Tucson to change the oil, rotate tires, etc. i wasn't expecting much so was very pleasantly surprised at how much my expectations were exceeded. For example, i arrived early and my car was taken in right away, there was very little attempt to to upsell me (I was expecting some) and a car wash was even offered. They are helpful, knowledgeable and kept me informed of the progress. The only concern I have is that I expect to get my car back the way I came in with it. The techs did not put everything back the way it was. It's minor, but, I have high expectations, just like this dealership does.
