I had a great experience. I was sent here by Dr Bullock to perform an in office procedure on my eye. I went to the surgery center first and and was told I needed to be on the other side. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The front desk led me through the back way to get me to where I needed to be. The front desk was super nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was checked in, the nurse called me back and numbed my eye and Dr Bullock did the procedure. It was quick and easy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]How do medical offices manage to find the people most devoid of personality and full of bad attitudes to answer their phones?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went to the Emergency Room last night for a vitreous hemorrhage. The ER doctor referred me to Dr Downer, advising me to let them know I was in the ER and I needed to be seen by him today. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The person answering the phone was unconcerned with that and went straight to who my insurance was with and then told me she wouldn't schedule me without a referral.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm retired Air Force, have excellent health insurance, and can get a referral easily from the Naval hospital nearby. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Instead of scheduling me while I worked the referral part, she refused to do anything and wouldn't listen.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She was curt, argumentative, and unfriendly to an almost hostile degree.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will go downtown Jacksonville before I go to this place which was right down the street. I'm thinking doctor offices like this have more business than they need, and clearly that's all their patients are- just another person to make money on. I had an appointment with Dr R Pecaro at Clay Eye in Fleming Island Florida today to clean up my lense with a laser. After going to his other office in Orange Park 2 times for testing. No one told me the 2nd eye would cost $400 because it would be preformed in a surgery center. The 1st eye would cost no out of pocket . He didn't like that I said that so he basically threw me out without preforming the procedure. He mortified me. He was very unprofessional!! I am a 78 year old woman and I had to drive home with the use of one eye. This man is a horrible person that should not be perfmorning surgeries on seniors or anyone for that matter!! Pros: The actual doctor (Dr. Green) was a pleasure to talk to. He answered my questions and was patient. The facilities are also very nice. Cons: The assistant to the doctor wasn't interested in answering questions and neither was the frames sales person. They dilated my eyes and expected me to read fine print when presented with purchasing options for frames/lenses, couldn't offer frames/lenses for less than $250 (with insurance) and tried to charge me for panoramic pictures that I did not have taken. I took my prescription, went to Walmart, and found Ray Bans and lenses for under $100 with my insurance. read more

Granted that this was our first visit to Clay Eye, but I was impressed. They seemed very well-organized and despite my husband's need for lengthy eye tests, the staff was patient and kind. It's a brand new facility and everything is state-of-the-art. Several doctors work here and at their other facilities, and some are experts in various areas. We needed one specializing in geriatric eye care--they had two on staff. We have to return in six weeks so maybe I'll be add to more info and pics. read more

I was so hesitant for many years to get Lasiks. Since 3rd grade, I had worn Coke bottles for glasses. The Summer b4 high school I got soft contacts and wore them til 4 months ago! Jeesh, I could and should kick myself in the butt! In Dec of 2018, I finally bit the bullet and got the procedure done. What a world of difference! I actually cried when I sat up from the Lasiks table and instantly could see (was a bit foggy at first). The next day I could see perfectly! No pain. No recovery time. A bit of irritance for a few hours is all I experienced besides pure happiness. I adore Dr. Donovan, my Lasiks specialist. He is kind, soft-spoken, thorough, direct, friendly, professional, and exceptionally-skilled! I would recommend him to EVERYONE! Dr. Harris was the best educated, with the best clinical understanding of patients with other systemic pathology that was sound and not textbook optometry. -0 months, 4 appts ... an awful experience at the tech dept.... Was my end. Mayo here I come. Some patients require more than a 15 min rapid fire eye exam ... take into consideration patients have other pathology that effect the eyes, and address them as so. I woke up with something stuck in my eye, luckily I was able to get a morning appointment the same day! The whole team was awesome! The eye doctor helped me in matter of minutes. They are fantastic doctors. Be prepared to wait for over an hour to see the doctor. The guy who went before us only needed to check a contact lens fitting. Over an hour and a half wait for him. A recheck for conjunctivitis took over an hours. read more

They do seem to know what they're doing, and most of the staff is fairy friendly! Some of the younger ladies are somewhat short, but everyone has bad days. However, there seems to be only one doctor in the entire facility on any given day, making the wait times very, very long. They seem disorganized and like their practice has become too large for them to manage. There were 5 people at the front desk, 1 working and 4 just chatting. Make sure you have your schedule clear for the day before coming in, as it will take upwards of an hour for you to be seen by the doctor. read more

I'm very happy to written down the first review for this office, that way I can help others who's looking for at least a good services and professionalism from the Doctor and this Office. Ok, from Dr. Green I felt that he doenst have much patience and he's not helpful eaither. You as patient you should know what you are suposed to do, otherwise the "Dr" who studie for years can't tell you. That's where I was, asked for a Dr orientation, but he seems to me not that helpful plus her staff was very rude from the way she's acting together with him. Well, they put something in my eyes that I couldn't see for about 3 hours and I was waiting inside my car until I felt OK to drive, took me 1 hour to get there and 1 hour to come back, the staff wasn't helpful at all by the end of the appointment. They just turn to me and said: you are to go :-) Also the ladie before over the phone after I asked if I should bring someone, she said, I wouldn't needed. Don't believe, bring someone just in case, you never know if you are going to find another Doctor or office like that or worst. I drove 45 minutes to the San Jose office on a tuesday with my 3 year old son to be told that the "pediatric" doctor is only there in Thursday's. If I could give zero stars, I wouldn't think twice about it. Got referred to this office to help out with a infection. Get there fill out paper work, getting anxious to see what they could do for me. Doctor comes in or that's what he claims to be, looks at my eye, scans my eye, tells me everything looks good. About the infection, your going to have see someone else for that. I told him I got referred here by another doctor because y'all do that kind of work here. His response, no you need to go and see a surgical specialist. So I see someone else to schedule an appointment. Next opening is a month and a half away. At this point, I might as well do my own surgical procedure at the house. I went here because I needed glasses. I was mocked for not knowing the difference between progressive and no line bifocals. Then in the customer service area the girls we rude and condescending. It was unbelievable. I am a consumer and the looks- fake smiles. I will never go back. If I am spending $500 I expect quality, and for the service workers to put the customer first and not gossip or be low class. read more
