The customer service is outstanding and they use software for easy and efficient check-in and payment prior to your visit so you don't have to bring cash or cards with you. However, you can pay at the desk in person. They give you options. The follow-up appointments are set right after your visit so you can plan ahead. And the doctors are great here. We see Dr. Dupree and Dr. Javier at this location and both are exceptional at what they do. Great staff and friendly, fast service!Highly recommend this office for all of your eye health needs.

After the last 3 appointments with Dr Islam, I strongly believe my review is warranted. I have been seeing Dr Islam for just over a year and a half. After just having being diagnosed with my eye condition, I started my appts with this Dr. After the first eye drop Rx not being completely successful, she suggested an eye drop that could possibly change my eye color dark. I asked if there were alternative drops that wouldn't do this......there was. Why, would the first one be suggested then?? Why? So, it's been a few series of visits, and each one has its own story but EACH AND EVERY appointment she mentions laser surgery. WHY, if my eye drops are working, would I consider having laser eye surgery?? To go down from 2 eye drops rx's to one?? That is not enough reason & there is no guarantee that the laser surgery would work, as in the case of my very dear friend. When I ask questions, she has a smile but her responses are incredibly smug. She throws me off with her smugness, because she does it with a smile, but she is absolutely smug, and condescending, with her replies. I'm really losing my confidence with her. This is the condensed version, but she has no problems setting up frequent & follow up appointments when a problem has resolved. I advised that I cannot come every week, but I will call if I have a continued problem, due to co-pays. The Dr, I'm sure did not even realize she LITERALLY shrugged her shoulders when I said that. Like, that is not her concern (high co pays). Well, I saved myself another copay by letting her know that if I have any additional issues, I will make an appointment. Did I really need to go back every week for an entire month? I have to leave from my appointments feeling like there is a piece missing to this puzzle. I'm sure I will never get the entire picture, but I will try 1 more appointment and see if I can start to have renewed confidence in this Dr. If not, I will change Dr's or change facilities. I need to feel confident with whom is providing me treatment. Right now, it's really slim.

The interaction started off well as originally my appointment was 5 weeks out. I was on a cancellation list. They called 2 separate times to move my appointment up which I was thrilled. I then received the new client paperwork via email. I noticed it said ..... Our lobby is currently closed in the Orange Park location to provide a safe & stress-free environment for our furry friends. When in reality they share a building with a dermatologist and they don't allow dogs in the building except in the back and exam room from what I was told. I can't say my response was the best as I did say....... Well that's Bullshit. You bring your dog to an eye specialist, you are supposed to keep your dog out of the bright light and we wait in our car or sit on a bench outside? I was taken back with the office answer that you have to just that. I said well it doesn't matter my dog needs to be seen so I'll be there. Well this is the kicker, I get an email stating.... We are writing this letter in regards to your relationship with our veterinary practice. We made accommodations for Cassie and prioritized her when we had a cancellation for Thursday understanding the urgency in her being seen. After your call back stating your disapproving views on our lobby policy, we have decided that you may find better accommodations at another facility. One of the most important criteria for the delivery of veterinary medical care from veterinarians and staff members at this facility is a polite, effective, comfortable, and open avenue for communication. Unfortunately, your interactions with our personnel today have made it impossible for the doctors and staff here to communicate with you in that fashion. As a result of this, we will be unable to provide medical care for your pet(s). Ideally, we recommend that Cassie see another ophthalmologist. There are ophthalmologists available in Gainesville that are highly recommended or we recommend searching ophthalmologists at the ACVO.org website. You may also continue care with your primary veterinarian. We wish you and Cassie nothing but the best. Kind Regards, Animal Eye Clinic Not even signed with a name!! I called apologizing for what they perceived but was stressed and didn't understand how a specialized eye dr makes their clients wait outside. I'm sharing this out of transparency. I took this as was blown out of proportion!! Then again maybe I dodged a red flag with 3 cancellations in just a couple hrs!?!? I pray no one at this clinic has a situation like the one I experienced with them

The young lady that I dealt with on my lens prescription was very informative and gave excellent customer service. The cashier was awesome, very friendly and was chatting with us, very informative also. She checked us out and we left . We went to lunch and I went to look at my invoice and I notices it did not show my vision insurance copays. I called back to the office and spoke with a nice man, named Darrin. He got my info, looked up my account and said they did not have my insurance info in their system, he got what he needed and said he would get with the optical department. I got a call this morning, he told me everything had been entered and yes, I was due a refund and he could credit my card right then if I could give him some info. He ran the card while I was on the phone with him, told me how much everything was and this $$ was my refund back to my card. He apologized for the office's error. I just want to tell the whole office staff and to Darren , Thank You for your Prompt service of correcting this error. This kind of customer service is why I keep coming back to Orange Park Eye Center. Sherry Reinhardt

The lady at the front desk asked me for my name and phone number to "put me on the schedule." I told her that I was just looking and did not want an appointment. She pressed me further and told me that they wanted to know who is in the building, which seemed odd. So, I gave her my name and phone number. Then, she asked for my birthday. I'm more or less flabbergasted at this point, since the business is located in Orange Park, not Beverly Hills. I told her to just put down 1/1/2020. Another staff member came out to request my birthday because they want to know who is in the building. Good grief, do they have a lot of thefts in that area? I have never had anyone ask for my personal details in order to look at eyeglasses frames.

On my way to the appointment, the office called asking if I was coming to my appointment. I indicated I was in the car and on my way. Upon arrival to the text address, I realized the text from the Dr's office was incorrect. The Dr. office had sent me to the incorrect address. I called the office and that is when the receptionist told me they needed to reschedule (I still had 11 minutes to make my appointment). Needless to say, this office has the the poorest customer service, horrible communication and based on my experience had no concern for my time (only the Dr. had to go to lunch.......almost a direct quote). I admit I was heated in my talk with the receptionist. As I had wasted 30 minutes driving to get to my appointment. I would not recommend this office to anyone who values their time as much as I do.
