    Buyer Beware - Extremely Expensive and Misleading Pricing…read more I feel completely ripped off by this company. Their business model is designed so that you're committed before you even know what the final bill will be. They charge a $125 dispatch fee just to come out and provide an estimate. If you decide the price is too high and decline the work, you still have to pay the $125. That immediately puts customers in a difficult position. In my case, I was initially quoted around $600 to repair my toilet and a leaky faucet. As the technician continued working, the price kept increasing until the final bill exceeded $1,000 for about an hour of work. According to the invoice, I was charged: $125 dispatch fee $442.17 for a "partial tank rebuild" (replace flapper and fill valve) $214.47 to replace the emergency shutoff valve $225.69 to replace the toilet handle What frustrates me most is that the additional issues the technician claimed to discover after starting the job should have been identified during a thorough inspection before presenting the original estimate. Instead, the estimate kept increasing while the work was already underway, leaving me feeling like I had little choice but to continue. The technician was courteous, and the toilet works properly, so I have no complaint about the quality of the repair. My complaint is with the pricing and the estimating process. Charging over $1,000 for basic toilet repairs completed in roughly an hour is, in my opinion, excessive and unreasonable. My advice: Do not use this company!

I have been worried about replacing my old one but he assured me that they would do an amazing job, and they gave me a fair price. This morning Rafael, Josh and Arturo showed up, the nicest guys you could ever meet. They checked out the location of the unit and immediately set out to work. I couldn't believe how fast the old one came down and the new one went up. My roof is slanted with solar panels up there, there is a 4ft wide space in between but it requires care when maneuvering around them. Several other men came just to help swap the units and then they were gone. Again really nice young men. There were lots of things concerning the old cooler, I didn't know it wasn't installed many years ago correctly so while we had lots of air in our attic was very cool LOL They made sure it was perfect, I'm so happy with the installation, Rafael, Josh and Arturo are truly professionals but more then that they are a pleasure to have do the work. I have been using Anderson since we moved here in 2002, wouldn't use any other company. Thank you so much.. talk about quick service got quote quote one day and next day installed... can't ask for better.

I mentioned to Chris that something went awry after we tried to secure the cover of the Nest thermostat (it was loose from the wall). The AC had worked before but after doing something with the cover, the AC stopped working. Chris quickly found the problem (a fuse had blown out). Chris was very professional, gave me some ideas on a Honeywell thermostat (we're not BIG fans of the new NEST thermostat), showed me how to read the error codes on our furnace (watch the number of red light flashes and compare it to the brochure left with the furnace). It was easy, peasy, even someone like me who has no HVAC experience could do this. I can't thank Chris enough for his great personality, true professionalism, answered my questions, taught me a few things (learning something new is always good) and even loved on my 2 labs (turns out we both love animals). Thank you, Chris! You're the absolute best! Sierra Air is *very* lucky to have you on their staff.

They came…read moreout for a routine AC review and I didn't buy an upgrade they wanted (unit is 6 years old). They then would not certify that my AC unit was working correctly. Within an hour of departure the unit stopped working. They sent same man back that evening, he got it to work then an hour later, no longer working. Next they sent someone else out who said it just had to be our breaker which I doubted. Still I updated new breaker and the AC unit stopped working again. I have asked to speak to manager. The operator takes my messages and I have never received a returned calls, two weeks later still no call. They were suppose to send out an emergency tech. No one has showed up. Called and couldn't get any response other than the woman who answer phone. What a joke. **Update** I am revising my score. I finally received a phone call this morning to discuss my situation and we agreed on the next steps. They were very apologetic but its sad it had to come to this to get a response.

    Do not use this company!! I had them install a new heater 4.5 years ago and it almost killed use…read more We were getting very large propane bills and could not figure out way. 3 weeks ago my wife luckily woke up at 4:45am to a very strong smell she called gas it wasn't gas but very chemical smell. It drove both of us out of bed. Heater was running and house was full of smoke. I shut down the heater and had to get the wife and cat out of the house while I tried to figure out what was wrong. I found it we had a fire and explosion in the furnace, and it was pumping the smoke into the house. Long story short I went to call Minden Heating and saw they had lost their licenses and had an F rating on BBB. Had another company come out and the furnace was destroyed and needed to be replaced. The furnace was packed with creasote like a wood or oil stove. They tore it apart and found the issue. Although all the tags had been changed saying the furnace had been converted to propane they never changed the jets and it was pumping three times the propane into the furnace. This caused the high use of propane the buildup of the creasote and eventually the explosion and fire. We are very lucky to be alive the Corbon monoxide should have killed us in our sleep lucky the wife woke up. For your saftey never use this company.

I asked him to go ahead and pick out a thermostat for us and call us when it came in. Vince called and we were pleasantly surprised when he said he could be out within the hour. He did an excellent job installing the thermostat and explaining to me how to set it up on my iPad. He was very friendly, courteous and very efficient. The problem we have is the ridiculous markup on the thermostat. The very exact model which is the professional with a 5 year warranty, sells on Amazon for $112.90 with free shipping, delivery by Saturday. Same model number, same serial number as is on the box of the thermostat they installed.. If this is sold for less on Amazon, then maybe he should do his customers a favor and shop around. How Kevin raised the price up to $265 is beyond us. We did leave an immediate phone message for Kevin, the owner to call us back. Instead he sent Vince back out to discuss the matter with us. We told Vince to tell his boss that we were very disappointed and wanted him to know it. We got no response from Kevin the owner, so thus the rating. We will be using another electric company in the future.

Very professional, on-time and amazing follow up. The office staff and the technicians helped us speed up the process with the home warranty company to avoid any delays. The technician, Tyler went out of his way to follow up with me a few days to be sure everything was okay. That is definitely going above and beyond. The service is top notch and there is great value in working with someone this professional. I highly recommend them for any HVAC needs.

    We purchased a home and had a Fidelity home warranty. In June of 2024 the air conditioning started…read moreacting up. This was a newer system that was about 2 years old. Tyler came out and did a fantastic job. He was clearly very knowledgeable and had all the tools to properly diagnose the issue. Fast forward to May of 2026. The air conditioning condenser froze up and again I called Fidelity our home warranty company. They sent out a different company and the very young gentleman was not very sharp. His recommendation to fix the issue was to remove the air filter in the system. I asked him to check the load on the blower motor (same issue we had before) and he said he was only able to check it with the cover off because he did not have the proper tools. Fidelity called the next day and advised they were not covering any warranty work because the air conditioner was still under manufacture warranty. I then called the manufacturer and they advised Beach & Sons Mechanical was an authorized service company. I called and spoke to the receptionist and explained my issue. I advised her Tyler was the one who came out last time and I book an appointment for him to come give a second opinion. Tyler arrived within the scheduled time, had all the proper tool and clearly knew exactly how to work on the air conditioning unit. He checked all of the various settings, pressure, and levels. By the time he had left the system was working perfectly. I highly recommend Tyler and Beach & Sons Mechanical. They are very professional, knowledgeable, prompt, have all the proper tools & equipment and a company that I trust 100%!! I have recommended them to friends and this is the only heating and AC company that I will use.

We received 3 estimates from 3…read moredifferent places, and not only did Ross promote a price that fit within what we were willing to pay, they demonstrated care and urgency as well as knowledge in replacing our furnace and HVAC system. Shoutout to Frank and Rodrigo, as well as the office administrator who originally fielded my call: they sent Frank out same-day to inspect our situation (which other places were quoting days to weeks out), and Frank was responsive and offered to even come early if I needed him to! He gained trust fast and offered to continue to answer questions over text if needed beyond the estimate appointment. He gave me details on what kinds of systems to look for, even if we didn't choose Ross for the service! Then, when we chose Ross, they scheduled the replacement FAST with us which was important not to have to wait weeks for our A/C to be working again. Rodrigo and team who came out to complete the replacement were fast, efficient and so friendly! They demonstrated care and kindness the entire time, truly above and beyond customer service. When we discovered the next day we needed our pilot light relit, we texted Frank who then sent Rodrigo same day to get that corrected - just incredible and top notch service from start to finish! I think I found Ross on Yelp when we were already booking estimates with two other "well-marketed" Heating and Air companies in the area...think about two that you see, hear, get mailers and see billboards all over the place...I am so appreciative for Ross and their entire team! Freon was leaking and since my unit was 24 yrs old and the Freon used for my model was no longer available. This is totally understandable and I knew this day was coming. I naturally got a quote for replacement for my AC unit as well as my furnace, because my furnace was needing to be replaced as well within the next year or two so I decided I was likely going to do both at once to save me a headache in a year or two. For the record, Ross H&A was not the company who did my maintenance. Ross Heating and Air was the last estimate I got and I could not have been more impressed with everything they presented. They made the decision easy. They were honest, fair, and local. About 10 days later everything was replaced and looked great. And to put a bow on this that eas done, when the city inspector came to inspect the work he even mentioned that Ross does great works. Make this company your go to for all things heating and air.
