Spent the week in Acworth, GA while my son played baseball at LakePoint Sports and this was our…read morefavorite restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I went in thinking this was just a chain and the quality would be roughly the same as a fast food chain. Boy, was I wrong. The sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit was fantastic. Honestly, I should have ordered two and skipped the cheesy grits. The biscuit was warm but held up. The sausage was flavorful, and the egg was cooked to perfection. You order at the counter, and they bring your food out, so there is not a lot of interaction with the staff. That said, the cashier was friendly, and the chef came out at some point to talk baseball with my son. Not the cheapest meal, but I happily paid a little more for this than something from McDonald's. We tried the Biscuit Belly in Acworth for breakfast today. I had never heard of this spot but…read moreapparently it is a chain with other locations out of state. We just saw it driving by and were hungry for breakfast. Price shock hit me. Yelp said $10-$20 per person and it was every bit of that and more for two breakfasts and two coffees. I guess that's not too much for a treat but I certainly couldn't afford that for breakfast on a regular basis. They were packed which was a good sign but the restaurant was chaotic. When you go in you get in line and order at the counter. Then they bring the food out. You can pick up a menu to look at while you wait in line. Service took a while but it was made to order and they were crowded. I got biscuits and sausage gravy and added eggs and a cinnamocha coffee. My wife got the avocado toastie with a praline mocha. The biscuits were ok. Not as good as what I make at home but not bad for store bought. A bit heavy not light or fluffy. But ok. At home I would have split my biscuit in half and put gravy on it open faced. They just pour gravy over the top. Not bad but changes the ratio of gravy to biscuit. The gravy is good. Not as good as what I make at home but good. Has a smokey hint that was different but really good. The avocado toast was good with a sunny side up egg that was cooked perfectly. Overall I can't go over 4 with the price. The food was good but not great. I am leaning more towards 3 stars than 4 but I will go 4 as the coffees were excellent.

The weather was so breezy, mild, and nice that day, I had to look for places with outdoor dining…read more We saw that there were dog-friendly and had a little gated "dog park," so we decided to give this place a shot. Firstly, the service was great. The host and our server did nothing wrong. My husband had a couple of beers and thought they were great as well. That's why I'm giving 3 stars. They saved it from giving them 1. Phew. Now, with that being said, I write this review a whole day later because I cannot NOT write about our disappointment with the food itself. We ordered mozzarella wedges and fried pickles as appetizers. The fried pickles were fine, but we all took turns laughing and showing off how hollow each one of our mozzarella wedges was. It was all puff and no cheese. That was the start. Then we got our entrées. We ordered wings, a pepperoni flatbread, Cajun pasta, a chicken club sandwich, and fish and chips. My daughter liked the wings, but everything else was not good. I'm trying really hard not to use the word "terrible." My daughter described her pepperoni flatbread as, "I guess it's OK. It tastes like Chinese buffet pizza." My husband, who tries never to complain about food, said his chicken club tasted extremely burnt. I tried it and spit it out because it was so bitter. The pasta was just so very sad, and the garlic toast that came with it was even sadder. My fish and chips were not great either. No one liked the cold fries. We almost finished everything because it was late, we were starving, we're not necessarily picky, and the portions were extremely small. Again, my daughter liked her wings, so there's that. I don't enjoy writing bad reviews, but I also don't like paying a decent amount for bad food in this economy. I didn't want to complain to management because we weren't there to get anything comped, and I could already tell there was nothing I could suggest that would fix how bad our food was. I just could not, in good conscience, fail to warn the next customer about what to expect from the food
