My experience with these guys was the single most disappointing and stressful experience of our move (and moving from Hawaii with three small children is STRESSFUL, especially while living in hotels for three months while waiting to close on a short sale)! We just bought a house and we wanted a cleaning done before we moved in because the previous owners had JUST moved out, and they weren't exactly the epitome of tidy. For a "floor to ceiling deep and thorough cleaning" I was told that it would take two cleaners 8-10 hours, at $30/hour for a total of $240-$300. We had a friend let the cleaners in, as we were on our way back to town from family event. We had planned to be back by the time the cleaners were done, 8 hours after they started. We got a call from one of the cleaners, less than five hours after they started. He said they were finished and that 3 cleaners times 5 hours was 15 hours and at $30 an hour we owed him $450. This was $150 more than we had agreed to pay, AND my friend said that there were only two cleaners when she let them in that morning. There is something definitely wrong with that. He also said, "We didn't feel like cleaning the walls because you need to paint anyway." Really? How is that his decision to make? VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. The last 3 hours of our drive was very stressful, knowing that this caliber of person had access to out house and our house key, after we had just paid to have all the locks changed! When we arrived home, we were met with a very poor cleaning job, Our oven was BROKEN! It was as if someone had opened the oven door and stood on it to clean above the stove, the door was hanging by a hinge and would not close. All of the shower walls were still covered with soap scum and film. The light fixtures and the blinds were not dusted. Half of the window sills were not dusted and half of the windows were not cleaned. There was grease all around the stove on the wall and kitchen counter. There was food in the garbage disposal and the bottom of the dishwasher. There were spider webs in several rooms. The kitchen floor was filthy. The medicine cabinets had been overlooked and were full of sticky stuff and hair, the stairs were not vacuumed and were filthy. We found ourselves wondering what "three" people spent five hours doing in our house, and how in the world the believed we would pay $450 for their services. The next morning we called and the manager was very apologetic and she offered to send someone out to finish the job. The man who showed up was rude, condescending, and lacked work ethic. He spent about two hours "dusting" and cleaning the bathrooms, and when we checked his work it was a really crummy job. There was STILL dust on the blinds and soap scum on the walls in the shower....and it wasn't like the super hard to get off stuff, I could scrape it off easily with my finger nail. He tried to fix the oven, and jiggled it around and slammed it a couple times, making excuses for why it was left that way in the first place. It was very uncomfortable to stand by and watch/listen to that. The man was probably near 60 years old, and didn't seem at all like he had experience as a professional cleaner. And he was MOUTHY, full of excuses and just rude. I didn't complain about the horrible job he did the second time because I just couldn't handle him in my house any longer. I eventually agreed upon $250 with the manager, which I think was too much for the services that we had done (They did do a good job on half of the windows/sills, they vacuumed almost all of the carpets, they cleaned out all of the kitchen cabinets and the oven, and the toilets were clean). We thought it would have been worth the investment to hire a cleaning service, just to make the move in process that much easier for us. But, I ended up having to spend several hours cleaning the stuff they missed, and ended up wishing I would have saved the money and cleaned everything myself from the get go. Uncomfortable, Unprofessional, just plain BAD. I am not a review writer. I created a Yelp account only because of this experience, to warn people to seek elsewhere for cleaning services. I set up a "Move-In, Move-Out" cleaning service for a condo that I'm putting on the market. I was quoted 6-8 hours for a given price per hour. Over the phone the gentleman mentioned that it would be 2 people coming to do the cleaning. When the time of the appointment arrived, one person showed up and specifically mentioned that someone else would be showing up soon. After about 45 minutes, we were informed that the second individual would not be coming. At that point, we reduced the amount of work we were requesting to make sure the very nice gentleman could accomplish it all in the given 8 hour window. He finished the work requested in 7.5 hours. When I spoke to the individual who called me the following Monday to get payment, I asked about a reduced rate since less work was done than anticipated due to the lack of a second cleaning person. I was told that no exceptions were made and that the quoted price was what needed to be paid. I paid the amount and when asked if there was anything else I needed cleaned, I politely told them that if there was I would coordinate that with a different company. On the positive side, the gentleman who came to clean the condo was extremely nice and did a good job on the things he did. Zero complaints about him or his work. read more

Did a decent job the first time I used them. Called them again because I wanted the floors cleaned/vacuumed and the bathroom cleaned in my one bedroom/one bath apartment. However they have a 3 hour minimum, which I didn't need. Not sure if this is the norm, but with so many small/tiny apartments in Pacific Beach I wish they offered a lower minimum. My wife and I have used a cleaning service every other week for the past two years. Eight months ago we decided to go with clean freak cleaning services based on a recommendation from one of our friends. I could not be happier with the service we have received; the cleaners are professional, on time, respectful, courteous, and really are experts at what they do. We have a small puppy that we love so much- but he has frequent accidents on the carpets- the cleaners are always able to make the accidents disappear like they didn't even happen. I love this company! I called them at like 3pm on Wednesday and was able to schedule a cleaning for 9am on Thursday. The cleaners and staff were extremely professional and they even brought their own cleaning gear! I had the clean freaks come to my place in more than one occasion. One time it was a woman called Gabi and second time a guy named Richard. Both times I had a great experience. They bring all the cleaning supplies and ask you if you have special areas that you would like them to focus on. The owner has the same name as me, and she is very friendly! My apartment is small but it took them 3 hours to clean. I was home the entire time and watched the cleaner for the most time. They are very detail oriented. They even washed my balcony. I wish they could have washed the floor of my bathroom but there is drainer in the bathroom floor so they could just mop it. I def recommend Clean Freaks and will be using them again! read more

I have to say that they were prompt but that was as good as it got. The employee that came never moved anything to clean, including the chairs for the kitchen table. There were spots all over the floor and crumbs under the table. For the $30 an hour they charge, the very least they could do was clean under a table. The hardwood floors were just as dirty when they left as they were before. Unless you have a lot of money to spend, I would say go somewhere else. read more

THIS IS THE WORST CLEANING SERVICE EVER!!! Last year, i had moved out of my apartment... needed it cleaned.... I told the lady to NOT THROW ANYTHING AWAY, and i gave her a bag to put items in that she had found.... Well sure enough she thew away my gym and pool key.. cost me $150.00. And also broke my glass shower door!!!!! I called the Manager... Best cleaners in San Diego! I had a wonderful experience with Clean Freak Cleaning Services. I scheduled the appointment the day before and the cleaner, Richard, was there right on time. I pointed out specific areas that I wanted him to focus on and he went above and beyond what I was expecting. The cleaning was very thorough and he even stayed beyond the scheduled 3 hours to make sure he got to every nook and cranny. The cleaner showed up a half hour late, didn't clean windows, baseboards, sinks, and shower that great. It looked as though she just "wiped them down". After telling her not to vacuum the carpet, she spent hours vacuuming and was here for 8 hours, when we were quoted 6 hours.
