I was vacationing in San Diego with three kids and so of course we needed to do laundry while we were here. Walked to another laundromat closer to where we were staying only to find it closed during posted business hours. I decided to walk further to Grand wash and I'm so thankful I did. Christine was so helpful and sweet. I was able to do 4 loads of laundry for about 25 dollars which I think is a great deal. I would highly recommend this laundromat if you live here or are just visiting. read more

To operate the washers/dryers customers are required to purchase a payment card for $1 and then load it with a minimum of $15. So if you only want to do one or two loads then Grand Wash is not the best choice. The payment system seems to be more for the convenience of the owners than the customers. Otherwise the machines look to be modern and the facility is clean. I didn't stay but went to another location that was more user friendly. read more

Decent local laundromat. They have several different sizes of washers/dryers which come in handy if you just need to do a small load, or are washing something oversize like a comforter. They have a pre-paid card system instead of using quarters. Very helpful if you normally just use credit/debit cards. It's pricier than the machines at my complex but it is 1000x cleaner so I come here more often than I'd like to. Happy washing! read more

Passive Agressive Wash would be a more appropriate name! Do not use this laundromat! Unless you like mysteries. Among the mysteries provided by the owners to solved: Will be washing machine I'm about to use break due to poor maintenance? How do I decipher the instructions on how to load money onto my vending card? How many loads will the different size washing machines wash? How much time will $0.50 buy me for the dryers? Why are so many of the washers and dryers broken, and why are some not even marked as broken? Why isn"t there adequate lighting? The impression I got from this business is they provide Fluff and Fold Services. If you're there to do your own laundry, you are a nuisance and the owners would prefer that you leave. The two staff on duty while I was there actively avoided me and other customers and were reluctant to answer questions. If you're staying at a nearby hotel/Resort (which is my guess about how they've been able to stay in business), I would encourage you to take a longer walk (or even drive) to a different laundromat. This is my favorite laundromat in PB. I have been going here almost every week for about a year now. Everything is very clean and there is always a friendly staff member there if you ever need any help. Pricing is average for the area. The washers run about $3-$5 depending on the size and .50 cents for every 12 mins of drying. There is also usually plenty of parking as they have spaces both in the front and in the back. You do not need to bring quarters either as they have a reloadable card that you can fill with cash or use your debit/credit card. read more

I always drop off my laundry here for the Wash and fold service and have never had an issue with any of my clothes being ruined or wrinkled at all! At $1.40 a pound it works for me. I do my laundry here often and would normally give this place on a good day 3 stars until today. The women working today made such a scene i really couldn't believe it. I had wet dog food on a towel i was washing so i wiped it off into a trash can before putting it in the washing machine and went and sat down. Not but a few minutes later one of the women working there starting yelling at another patron about putting dog poop in the trash can. A really nasty scene and i tried to explain it was dog food. I touched it and everything. The woman was unbelievable to the other patron. There was no listening and no understanding. I was floored at the lack of compassion from the employee. If I was the patron I would never come back here. I was horribly turned off at the behavior too. read more

Love this place. It's clean. The workers are friendly and very helpful when you need it. I would have given it 5 stars but they allow this one chick to do the laundry of what looks like a hotel. She takes up all the washers and has other huge bags waiting to load as well. I've been changing the times I come so I've missed her lately. Other than that this place is awesome. I took my $200 comforter here last night since the dryer in our complex is smaller and leaves the comforter wrinkled. I washed the comforter in the larger ($4/load) washer, then put it in the dryer for 50 mins. When I came back to take the comforter out of the dryer I first noticed the tag. Prior to putting the comforter in the dryer the tag was legible and looked like new. I took it out of the dryer and it was smudged with a sticky grey residue. I then noticed there was the same residue all over the comforter. I asked the attendant what happened to the comforter and she looked at me and said I used the wrong dryer. Funny, because I have washed the same comforter in much smaller capacity dryer before. What's even worse is this comforter is no longer available online so now I'm not only out the $200 I paid for this comforter but now need to go out and purchase a whole new bedding set. Lastly, they allow homeless in this establishment. read more

I have not been to many laundromats but this one is by far the best. Lots of different size washers and 3 extra large dryers to use when you use the commercial size washers so you don't have to put your clothes in like 3 different dryers. I have been going to Grand Wash for about a year. The facility is always clean and most of the machines work at any given time. There is a card that you pre-load money on to use most of the machines, but there are a couple of washers that operate on quarters. Different size machines which is nice when I have to wash blankets. There is a lady there who is super helpful and kind (not sure what her name is.) They also have drop off service (which I have never used.) I load up my laundry from the next neighborhood to come here as the laundromats in Mission Beach tend to be filthy, unsupervised and in poor working order. read more

I only drop off my laundry with the girls and they wash and fold it for me. They do a great job and they are really friendly. I also am not rude (some customers in there I have seen be rude), I always tip them, ask them how they are doing, and have become a regular there. Patricia and Matilda have always done a great job for me. Highly recommend for drop off laundry service. Be polite, be a regular, and they will go out of their way for you within realistic terms. During the week there is a very kind and helpful woman attendant at this laundromat. On the weekends the woman working there only helps Hispanic people and is rude to everyone else. I thought at first, she was just rude and unhelpful to everyone, today I asked for help, and she said "no" . Then a Spanish man asked for help and she ran over used her card to pay for is drying. I said to her why did you help him and not me . She said" your problem is with me". I said no I wanted help with the washer. This is not the first time she has not helped me. the same dryer the man was having problems with I had a problem when I told her and she said" I can't help you". . I now know what it feels racisms feels like now this woman only helps Hispanic people . The owner needs to have a talk with this woman telling her to treat everyone with respect. I will never go there again on the weekend. I bet a lot of none Hispanic people who have found her rude and unhelpful are not going back either. She is really rude. To be clear I have been gong to place for many years, all the people working there helpful except this women. I would give this place five stars but for my experience today. The woman attendant is a sweet woman always willing to help, but that's really the only thing I like about the place. The owner is a real jerk and always has a snide remark for someone with his nose turned up. You have to buy one of their stupid cards for a dollar before you can even put any money onto the card to use the machines. One time I walked in and started recharging my laundry card and the owner demanded to know where I got the card with this upset look on his face. I told him I bought if from the machine of course and he just walked away. I used to take my niece's laundry in when she was just an infant and when I saw how dirty her clothes and towels were coming out of the washers, I finally decided not to go back. Been dropping off my clothes here to the fluff n fold on and off for the last 3 years. Don't have a washer and dryer? Too lazy or busy to do it yourself? These ladies work quickly and efficiently. Fold and hang your clothes and wrap them like the pros! Leave your delicates at home because it's no dry-cleaning service. Awesomest place ever! I have been a happy customer for years, and today I woke up and realized that I have forgotten one of my loads in a washer from four days ago. I called this morning and they actually saved it for me. Nothing was missing and it was placed nicely into a dryer. I am so grateful that my clothes were still there. Someone is always working, and the owner is always there too. As long as I am living in a place that does not provide a washer and dryer in my own apartment, I will be a customer of this place. They also offer same day drop off service if you do not have time to wash it yourself. Amazing place, nothing better in PB:) read more

GREAT SERVICE. When my apartment complex's washing machine broke I had to find a nearby laundromat and fast. I had never been to a laundromat before so I walked in not being able to tell the difference between the washers and the dryers and was immediately helped by the sweet little old lady working there. She helped me figure out which machine I needed and even used her own card to pay for my wash and dry so that I wouldn't have to buy one since I only needed their services this one time. I felt pretty stupid walking in but she was so kind, helpful and non-judgmental that she made the experience actually pleasurable. If my washing machine ever breaks down again I will definitely be returning here because of the great service. read more
