Because I was ill with COVID and though I'm now negative, I am still enduring a long recovery. I hadn't been able to do my laundry for 3 months. I looked into local services and this one seemed legit. I had like 50lbs of clothes for them to do. They could never give me an exact time for pickup, not even like "10am-11am" just "sometime before 11am." So that was a little annoying. The driver who came to pick up the clothes wasn't wearing a mask and didn't distance from me. I wore a mask of course. It just sucks when your first encounter with a place, right now, is of them not using PPE. The 1 star is because they did a good job cleaning and folding my clothes. I thought getting stains out was part of their service and they didn't really do that, though. It was an expensive service, but I knew what I was getting into. I paid with my card over the phone and in that call I also asked if they could have their drivers wear masks for interacting with customers. They said okay as though it were a special request from me and not you know...a common sense reaction to the deadly pandemic wreaking havoc on our bodies, families, and lives. When the driver dropped my clothes off, again I was not given anything clearer than "before 11am." I missed his call around 9 and tried to give him a call back but didn't hear back for over an hour. He didn't leave a message, not text not voicemail. When he called back he told me he'd just left my clothes--mind you, these are ALL the clothes I own--on the front porch...of the apartment building I live in...on a very busy thoroughfare. Packages and stuff get stolen off our porch all the time. So I couldn't believe all my clothes were just sitting there. I ran downstairs and thank the lord all my clothes were there. He had put them in two giant bags, each about 25lbs I guess, really unwieldy. I am very weakened from having fought a deadly disease for months and couldn't carry them upstairs myself. I had to divide them up and then carry them. I had two asthma attacks during that. The clothes themselves are looking good so far. I e-mailed them to let them know my disappointment about the lack of masks and how alarming it had been to just have all my clothes left on a porch without even a text message or voicemail. They responded initially saying that the driver should have left a message and were sorry he didn't, then reversed course and claimed he did. They also totally don't take masking seriously. Ultimately pretty rude and shitty experience. Try to go elsewhere I'd say. read more

I needed to have a dress dry cleaned in 24 hours for an important event and I dropped it off that morning at 9:30 and they had it back to me by 2pm that afternoon. I was elated! I'm having an alteration done that I'm picking up on Wed so I will do a follow up review after that. read more

This tailor is the most incompetent person I've encountered when it come to tailors. She ruined a pair of my jeans and offered no compensation. Not even refund for the atrocious tailor job she did. I brought in flare jeans to be hemmed. I even had them pinned to be exact length I needed them. She made them straight leg. And then explained that that's just the way it works web you hem flares. So she ruined a brand new pair of jeans. Second pair were also flares that she did manage to hem but they look so god awful I'm going to have to take them somewhere else to be totally redone. I gave her a chance to redeem herself and got no improvements. Don't ever go here to have something hemmed. read more

TERRIBLE service !! The older woman who works there was very disrespectful the day I entered this establishment attempting to have a romper altered. I was told by the woman to go home and pin the garment myself and then return and she would adjust the straps. When I questioned it, she yelled at me to leave. I also witnessed this same woman disrespect a young Xavier student who was attempting to have an ROTC uniform pressed. She over talked the customer the entire time, and even walked away from here mid-sentence and called me to the register (which is when she told me to do the straps at home). Instead of becoming irate and equally as disrespectful, I tried to have a conversation with the young(er) guy inside and he responded "she's 80 years old, she wont change". It was at that moment I realized that he too was a part of the problem. I wasnt looking for the lady to change- just simply provide a service worth paying for. I will NOT be returning. Brought a bamboo sheet there a little over a month ago with a couple of holes to be repaired, owner complained and said I should just buy a new sheet set. Finally agreed to repair for $15. Told her I would be out of town for at least a month and stated no problem. Came back a month later. Never did the repair, stated she was going to throw it away. Owner again complained and said I should just buy a new sheet set, then told me she would charge $25 to amend two small holes. Meanwhile she's having a confrontation with one of her workers about taking in a pair of pants for dry cleaning that are moist... Not wet but damp/moist.. Took my top sheet down the street about a mile and a half on the left side of the street to alteration place, nice lady that was more than happy to do the repair for $10. I will not recommend this place or use it ever again. This is not the first time she's complained about doing a cleaning job that was pretty simple... Brought in draperies before and paid about $120 she acted like she was doing me a big favor and it was a inconvenience to do the job.. Find a different drycleaner / alterations person. Thank you for your advice to go buy a brand new bedsheets because it's going to save me money... But it's not, bamboo sheets run $100 at least for a set.. LOST MY ITEM! NEGLIGENT AND UNAPOLOGETIC. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They lost my skirt, called to tell me so and initially said they could either pay me or i could wait a few weeks to see if it turns up. I show up to pick up my other items and said i'd like to be paid for the item they lost. Now they tell me I HAVE to wait a few weeks to see if another customer returns it and they will not pay until then. One guy working there said something about "usually when this happens"...as though losing items is a common occurrence! The manager/owner asks me what I paid for it, then says "that's very expensive", doesn't take me at my word and tells me she will need a receipt or some kind of proof of what it costs. She even asks where I bought it from and tells me she will go look for the the price and even seems to suggest that she will find a replacement of her choosing. I informed her that I no longer have a receipt as the skirt was bought around a year ago and that I won't accept whatever replacement she picks out. So she tells me again she will pay me for it if nobody brings it back but i should "prepare the receipt". She tells me to take the other items free of charge and check back in a few weeks. Three weeks or so later I go back and tell her I want to be paid. She immediately, with a defensive and unapologetic attitude tells me she will pay $45-$55. Now she isn't even interested in the proof of the cost of a similar item that I've brought to her and taken the trouble to find because of her previous instruction. I told her that's unacceptable as the skirt costs $98 to replace. She tells me she's only liable for 10X the cost of cleaning and that since the skirt is used it is depreciated. I insist that this is not a fair resolution considering that I must buy a NEW item to replace what she lost. Then she tells me well I can go to court. COURT, OVER $45! After several minutes of arguing, I tell her to just give me the $55 and now she tells me no, she isn't paying me anything because I didn't agree to the offer she made so I need to go to court. So now I have to argue with her again several more minutes to get her to agree to pay what she offered earlier in the conversation. Then she looks up my ticket to make the notation in the account for the reimbursement and sees that I didn't pay for the cleaning of the other items on the ticket. Now she tells me she's DEDUCTING that cost from the $55. She wouldn't even give me free cleaning of the other items for my trouble, even though she is the one that told me not to pay for them before! Her attitude from the very beginning was unapologetic and ornery. She cared zero about pleasing/compensating a customer for her negligence and only wanted to make sure she got by with the minimum amount of dollar loss. NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT GO THERE! read more

Because i I called ahead to find out more about their services and the woman who answered the phone was impossible to understand and then she started talking to somebody else while she was on the phone with me. Other than standard laundry of shirts, which were done fairly, I was very disappointed in the alterations department and dry cleaning of my black Hugo Boss shirts. The alterations' scenario took too long, which made me go to another cleaners (Carol at Deluxe Cleaners). After a few years and being compassionate, I gave Cleanerama another try. However, I was disappointed again as I had 3 black Hugo Boss shirts dry cleaned and they came back with stains (front and back) that looked like the chemicals were not evenly distributed. I returned them to be redone. On my return visit, my shirts looked as if oil stains were in them, which was not there before. I returned for a third time and very saw very little improvement. I cannot wear them (they are destroyed). I was told that because of the age of the shirts (2 - 3 years), the dye was fading unevenly. We are talking about a $135 Hugo Boss shirt fading unevenly when being dry cleaned. Really? Did I say 3 of them? By the way, I have 52 work dress shirts, mostly all Hugo Boss because of the tapered cut and I rotate them (i.e., wore each of the 3 shirts approximately once every 16 business days). If you do the math, each shirt was worn approximately 5 times a year, or 15 times in 3 years. I am sure the Hugo Boss brand would be insulted with the observation that their black shirts fade when being dry cleaned (not laundered). If Cleanerama stated that it dry rotted, which is common when you have shirts laundered often, but fading. Really? My experience was the last straw, I am taking my extensive business elsewhere. Trust and quality controls have been lost forever at Cleanerama. I am not waiting for 3 strikes, 2 was enough. Bu-bye! read more

I am a concierge at the Holiday Inn. A few days before the Superbowl, a guest approached my desk at 9:00 am needing 36 chef's jackets pressed by that same evening. After calling several other area cleaners who were unable to help us, I called Cleanerama. Although they were unable to pick up or drop off the jackets, they were able to accommodate the last-minute request and had the jackets ready for the guest to pick up by 2 pm. Very impressed. I will recommend this cleaner to my guests in the future. read more

The process to drop off and pick up is a little slow so give yourself some extra time. Pricing is moderate but they seem to do a good job I will go back but probably infrequently. read more

It's unfortunate that a business such as this one has the issues that they have 5 years prior to Katrina I use the services of this dry cleaner on a weekly basis it had no issues however I just had the unfortunate experience of having five shirts and 5 pair of pants dry cleaned and starched along with having four Pockets closed with a single stitch seam and the name strip placed on one shirt and it cost me $70 that is not where the problem lies the problem comes in when I asked for everything to be heavy starched and to have my sleeves creased the owner Helen continue to tell me what it was that I wanted and I instructed her that I want it heavy starch and creased sleeves on everything only to go back and be charged $70 for something that I didn't ask for it was half done and I was told if I wanted to correct their mistake that I would have to pay for it I will never use her Services ever again I don't have a problem with paying for services if the services are being rendered correctly if there are any other brotheren blue take your uniforms somewhere else if you want them done properly $70 for 5 shirts and 5 pair of pants is ridiculous never again read more

I cannot say enough about Cleanerama alterations and Helen. I had a daughter travel from out of state for a black tie event. The Saturday night she was packing we realized our alterations shop had sent us home with a dress cut off but not hemmed. She would not be be able to wear it as it was already starting to ravel. With travel on Sunday that left Monday during the day to get it hemmed. I called when they opened at 7 and they said bring it in to their main store when alterations opened at 8. They hemmed it, fixed the hook at the top of the zipper, pressed/steamed it and all in about 4 hrs and for $20. They even called me when the dress was ready for pick up. Hard to beat that level of service and price. I would highly recommend Cleanerama to anyone in New Orleans. read more

Travelling from UK on 6 week trip. These guys fully laundered almost 2 weeks clothes for two of us for just over 30 bucks! Brilliant service, parking directly outside, same-day full wash and fold service. Designer clothes all perfectly looked after. Highly recommend. Wish we had this kind of thing in UK! read more
