I got into an accident with another driver who did not have a license or any insurance. I called Clear Lake Collision and they allowed me to take my car in for an estimate immediately. When I arrived, the energy amongst the staff created for a very welcoming and warm environment despite the fact that I was still upset about the wreck. They were able to get me a quote within an hour of leaving the premises and got my car scheduled for repairs for 4 days later. I took my car in which was having a problem with the infotainment unit. The said the unit was covered by my insurance however the part was on back-order. That was shortly after Hurricane Harvey, I confirmed with the dealer that there was indeed a problem with back orders on the part, that was October, I called to check every few weeks and the receptionist told me she would give Chris the message and they would get back with me. They now said the part is $700 more than the insurance coverage. Chris informed that he had paid cash for the part and would be sure to notify me when it came in. He admitted in March that he had dropped the ball and lost track of his purchase or the part. I pointed out that if he had already paid for the part that they had no standing to increase the price, and ask him for his information on the purchase, first he said he got ordered and paid for the part through a third party, now he says he dealt with the dealership. As an elderly person on a fixed income I now have the choice of suffering further to resolve the issue or have dental work done. I call that elderly abuse. I can only pray that a recompense be rendered to all involved that have not acted honorably. Zero stars and one is as low as I can go. read more

This shop is unprofessional takes advantage of you and Chris the owner is very rude (yells and will go off on you) acts defensive right away and unwilling to admit that they put approximately 200 miles on my vehicle while it was at their shop for repairs and did not want to see the photo I took of the mileage when I dropped the car off, he wasn't even open to seeing the evidence or taking any responsibility, he just takes advantage thinking you won't notice. Additionally they over charged around $500. Will not recommend this place at all to anyone for anything. Very disappointing. read more

Dropped my daughter's car off Aug 19, was told it would go in for tear down on August 29th. It went in 2 weeks later, and with no communication from the business, until I called. They NEVER initiated contacting me throughout the process. He said he's too busy to update clients. October 6th after calling to see if the car was ready they said it would be done by the end of the day. We get there to pick up the car right before closing, drive home and the air conditioner is blowing nothing but hot air and the exhaust is sputtering. We call October 7th as soon as they open the next day and the guy says bring it back. The owner, Chris walks in while I'm in the waiting area and asks why I'm back, I explained, and he walks outside after using his hand motions to talk to me like I have no understanding of where a/c parts are located on the vehicle because the car was rear ended he feels that cannot harm the front end. I again explain it was working when it was taken there even after the wreck, so I expect him to rectify the issue. Upon more inspection the rear end repair was incomplete and the exhaust still had a huge crack in it. He argued back and forth that he was not responsible and that "you people"(I'm a black female) always want something for free. He was paid in full by the insurance company to repair my daughter's car and he did not. And proceeded to use a racial slur and when I called him out he tried hard to clean his words but it was clear he said what he wanted. His poor choice in words was mind blowing, how can he be this way to customers. They are horrible with communication, I would never send anyone. He even tried to get me to say I wanted free work on his camera, and I told him I could care less about the camera I wanted him to fix the issue because it was working when I left it there, so yes I was not paying for something that I didn't cause. He wrote a supplemental payment for the insurance and didn't do half the work he was paid for and used second hand parts that the insurance paid to replace. This place is a nightmare. read more

Took my wife's car in for repair. The owner told me bring it in Wednesday it will be done Friday. I call Friday the owner says its done but I'm not happy with it I want to redo it. Mind you I went and looked it was great work. My hats off to a business that not only takes pride in their work but also clearly takes customer satisfaction seriously. read more

Horrible service. The shop is ran by a owner named Chris who is disrespectful and belittling of others. He did a patch job which he stated he would not warranty. I explained that triple a scratched my car and the hose right behind it got pinched. Explained I needed documentation to be able to go after triple A for the damage when I arrive for picked up, I was belittled about not wanting to pay (which I have no problem with, I just wanted the documentation I requested and was told I would get when I drop the car off ) instead i was spoken to with a bunch of nonsense like "oh you don't take your own photos?" I will be having his shop investigated by the Texas department of insurance. But also will never return because of the lack of respect for customers request. If you can't take photos of prior damage don't say you can when I give you my vehicle. And if you don't have anything why did the assistant say " I wouldn't give her the documents since she's being rude" I'm rude but y'all ganged up on me and bullied me 2 against one but I'm rude? When all I need is the documentation you have. A one line invoice that states patch job for $309 isn't acceptable when I requested detail documentation. Thank god I took photos before I brought it. But this location has no corporate guidelines , no adequate leader ship, go somewhere else some where, that if the floor manager is unreasonable, there's a person above them. Because Chris the owner of this shop is the poorest example of a business owner. One star is one too many. I never pull the race card but when I got upset over the documentation both white people (Chris and his assistant) accused the color person (me) about having a problem with paying! That's just immensely out of line! I was upset with the disrespected and being lied too. Chris said he could note the damage, clearly record it during the repair. He stated he has it if insurance calls, but refuses to release the information to the car's owner. The person that paid the bill..... Unethical shops do this to entrap a customer to have to return to their shop for the claim repair. It's against the law and regulations of texas department of insurance. When I advise I'm gathering this for the investigator at triple A, He stated he is the investigator, and his personal opinion on the damage. Which is irrelevant , the investigator would review the photos and videos I have before stating the damage isn't related to the outside damage right on top of it. So because Chris is a Mechnic he wants to play as a licensed insurance adjuster which again is against the regulations of Texas department of insurance. For a claim repair shop he goes against the regulation of TDI. Very bad for business. read more

I had my car towed to Clear Lake Collision and Auto as a referral from AAA. It turned out, they were not even a AAA partner. I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau because they displayed on their website that they were a member and it turned out, they weren't. They fixed my car without my authorization and then called me a con-artist. When I went to pick up my car, Chris the owner, followed me outside and yelled racist and sexist obscenities as I walked to my car. I'm surprised a place like this shop is even still open. I have never experienced such a traumatic experience with a business. It's so disappointing to have been treated so poorly. read more

Had our 2010 Ford Edge repaired here. We got ran off the road over a 12 inch curb at about 50mph. Almost completely tore the rear end out of it. They had it about a week and when we got it back it was good as new, It drives straight and true and after 12000 miles shows no signs of abnormal tire wear. Couldn't of asked for better service, a better price or faster service. They worked with our insurance company and we had to do nothing. I highly recommend these guys!!!! read more

came to the shop and asked for an estimate and was met by the owner Chris. He came outside to the vehicle and I explained to him I have liability only and was told by the party that hit me Tdcj to get an estimate.I stopped here because the shop is close to me. I was told to get 3 estimates which I explained to him. He threw his hands up and said I don't work for f***ing free. I was a bit taken back and didn't understand I just wanted the estimate and to get my car repaired . He then walked backed towards the vehicle and me being very aggressive he tried to yank my door open.i refused to open the door and he said you want that estimate wait ten minutes and he stormed inside but stopped at the door and flipped me off and told me to get my broke ass out of there. Should never judge a book by its cover . Very unprofessional. It is my right to choose the body shop and be able to shop around to get best price especially in the current times. He didn't want to give the estimate if I wasn't going to repair it there. Say that then don't cuss me and belittle me. Our vehicle means a lot to us and it has been in the family for many years. So when another driver decided to speed past a stop sign and crash right into us I was not very happy. As if that wasn't bad enough, the persons insurance company wanted to total our vehicle. This car is our baby! We purchased it when my daughter was in daycare and next school year she will be attending high school. Yes! That's seriously how long we have had the vehicle! I began to search for another shop immediately and it seemed like an endless search until I called Clear Lake Collision and Auto. It was here where I spoke to the receptionist named Michelle. OMG! What a sweetheart! She was totally helpful, professional, and understanding of my situation. She setup an appointment with me to bring in my vehicle as soon as possible. It was at that meeting when I met the technician and master mechanic named Chris. You can not ask for a nicer, and more helpful guy than him. He is very knowledgeable, respectful, helpful, and down to earth. He visually inspected the vehicle and gave me a written estimate that same day. In addition to that we shared stories about vehicles we have owned in our past. Chris and his staff were able to put my baby back together good as new, and now it looks as if it never happened. I hope to God above that you never are in an accident, but if you are and need collision damage repaired go and see this dynamic duo Chris & Michelle at Clear Lake Collision and Auto, your vehicle will be in good hands. Had someone hit our car on the rear left side and when we took it in to get it repaired told them we were not in a hurry to have it fixed which wasn't an issue got it back two weeks later after I called because I did not receive any calls from them telling us it was done and they had told us that they took the driver side rear light off to get to the right rear and broke the light and the new one they put on was a used one it was all scratched up and they dented my pain in two different places around the light and tried to tell me it was there which it was not and none of it would've happened if they had not tried to take that light off, redid the wheel and it wasn't even the right color did not match the rest of the other wheels. Sent it back let them fix the light in the paint job the light was fixed and buffed out the tire was redone to the correct color after i told him there was a code on the tire to follow the correct color, but paint around opposite driver side tail light still was chipped and looked like it had been touched up in the paint pen and Chris had argued with us about it and was very unprofessional and very disrespectful to my wife laughing like he thought it was a joke. Very unprofessional. I would not recommend this place to anyone if you're a woman. At one time I had gone in to talk to Chris and when he saw me come in he got on the phone and had me talk to his wife instead because of us having the issues with the card not being done correctly. read more

Awful.... Not only did my breaks fail a week after my car got returned to me, but they lost my key fob, for got a bushing for my radiator and broke my brake sensor somehow. Look I am a student san jack auto tech, I use these people only because my parents trust "basil", he is a nice guy but him and his staff are notorious for screwing over people(which he did to my parents again) I begged and begged to let me fix the radiator but it was in a collision and needed to be repaired by body work pro's(which they are, nothing bad with the body work portion) I was offred 2500 by bosone auto motive in seabrook for the same job that some how cost me two more times than that a the so called "cheapest" repair shop in the area. The damage has already been done and I have to fix it myself now, with the help of my San Jac professor.
