    The unicorn bed.
    Laura B.

We have the pink unicorn dome. We chose it to please the kids. It has plenty of unusual features including 2 futuristic egg shaped chairs and a hanging swing chair. There is a pink curtain to draw around the block out the sun and heat. The place has air conditioning. There are 44 domes in the complex and it is sold out today we were brought to our dome by a golf cart. There is a food dome where you order inside it and the food is then prepared by a food truck outside. There is a bar in the welcome dome where you check in. They had a face painting artist to entertain the kids while we checked in. There are lots of outdoor games, including a huge chess set and other areas of entertainment. Thankfully we do not have a long walk on the dirt road to reach all the excitement. There is no television, so it is a place to check out from the outsold if you wish. It is a very futuristic concept, but expressive. I hope we can get a good nights sleep. They did provide ear plugs! Yeah!

The ripped dirty beds and the sheets were ripped too had to drive an hour to the nearest store to buy bed sheets

How ironic this will be my 3rd time trying To lea e a report and I come back to check and it's not posted. Well this place is so old and way over priced. I don't recommend anyone booking it. The wall papers were all ripped, ripped bedsheets, broken furniture. It was a disaster. Save you money book somewhere else.

For my 30th birthday, I wanted a camping experience--but my parents weren't exactly thrilled about the idea of sleeping on the ground. Clear Sky Resorts ended up being the perfect compromise. While it wasn't luxurious by any means, it had just enough comfort to keep everyone happy. We stayed in a dome that had a queen bed on the main floor and a lofted space with another queen and a twin bed--plenty of room for a small group or family. There was AC (a lifesaver in the summer!), a private shower with running water, and an actual toilet--not a hole in the ground. Yes, it had a bit of a smell, but hey, I'll take that over an outhouse any day. The vibe brought me straight back to summer camp in the best way possible. The staff was warm and welcoming--they even sang happy birthday to me at check-in! There were tons of charming little camp-style activities: hair braiding, cornhole, glow-in-the-dark frisbee golf, face painting, evening s'mores, and yoga. Pro tip: If you're interested in yoga, make sure to sign up before dinner time the night before--we missed the deadline and didn't get to join. Dining is all via a single food truck, but the food was surprisingly good! The only letdown was the coffee--definitely not it--but luckily I had brought my own cold brew to stash in the fridge. All in all, it was a peaceful, fun, and memorable getaway. If I ever have kids, this is exactly the kind of place I'd bring them for a screen-free, memory-making trip under the stars.

Clear Sky Resorts offers a unique glamping experience. We stayed in the Grand Canyon XL Dome which can sleep about five people and is spotless. The name lives up to reality, the sky was crystal clear. We visited at the end of October so be prepared for cold weather. The sunrise and sunset are epic. There is a food truck on site, I loved the Bananas Foster Belgium Waffle, so good. They also offer snacks. The staff are really nice and they even send daily text messages of any updates happening at the resort. The Grand Canyon is near as well as the Red Mountain trail. It was so nice to get away. The views were incredible. Regarding transportation, we flew into Phoenix airport and rented a car. The resort is about a three-hour drive, the drive down is nice. There is also a smaller airport, Flag Staff nearby. Clear Sky Resorts also offers stargazing tours, live music, and bonfires. Check this resort out if you are looking for a place to disconnect.

I recently stayed at Clear Sky Resorts and overall had a great experience at the property. The rooms were unique, clean, and well-maintained, and the staff was super friendly. The bathroom was very nice, and the location is beautiful--especially at night under the stars. However, I want to share an important caution for anyone booking through Hotels.com or Expedia. I needed to change my reservation and remove one night before the cutoff time. Hotels.com told me I had to contact the hotel directly. The hotel wasn't responsive at first, so Hotels.com told me they had contacted the hotel on my behalf and that I would be eligible for a refund if I had documentation proving I checked out early. When I finally reached the hotel, they said they updated my reservation, but when I checked out, they refused to give me any documentation. They told me Expedia/Hotels.com could call them to verify, but when I relayed this to Hotels.com, they reversed their position and claimed they couldn't issue a refund because the hotel had charged me directly--even though the charge clearly came from the hotel and not Expedia. So now I'm stuck in the middle of a blame game where no one wants to take responsibility, and I've had to file a dispute with my credit card company to try to get my money back. My advice: * Only book through Hotels.com/Expedia if you're 100% sure of your plans. Any changes may be impossible. * Be prepared to get the runaround if you try to modify your reservation or get a refund. * Get everything in writing, including from the hotel directly. One last thing: While the night sky was stunning, I don't recommend the $15 per person Astronomy Night experience. It was hard to hear, the information was basic, and you could get the same experience using a free app like SkyView. It felt overpriced for what was essentially a short talk and a laser pointer under the stars. Despite these issues, I did enjoy my stay--just be cautious with how you book and what extras you choose to spend on.

I missed Amanda G by a few days but couldn't agree more with her review. This was a birthday present I asked for, having loved stargazing since childhood and finding it harder to experience as urban light pollution has exploded over my lifetime. Clear Sky, while it calls itself a resort, makes it very clear on its website that it's glamping (with a slight lean toward the "...lamping" part). Just about midway between Williams and the Grand Canyon, the isolation is the point. You can't see the kind of stars you see here if you're close to anywhere with too much civilization and too much light. Everything is geared to that end. I've read complaints about conditions in some of the domes but I can't speak to that. We reserved what turned out to be one of the two most requested domes and loved it. It did get hot during the day and cold at night because it's the desert and that's what's going to happen to a structure that's mostly glass. But you don't come to this place to hang out in your room all day, and we had a ton of blankets supplied at night. Burrowing into them was wonderful and we slept like hibernating bears. The lovely staff told us they had originally offered more daytime activities but ended most of them when it became clear that almost everyone who came headed off to hike or experience the Grand Canyon twenty miles away. The only real mistake we made was bringing a fully electric vehicle. There are no recharging facilities at Clear Sky. I'd love it if there were, but I have a feeling logistical issues make that impossible. This limited our exploration options because we would have had to drive about 45 miles to a supercharging station in Flagstaff first, or spend ten hours in the parking lot of a small hotel in Williams plugged in to a very unsuper charger. So we explored Williams, we jumped on the giant bouncy thing in the playground, hung out on the chairs and hammock on our little patio, read, chatted, and lost ourselves in the quiet beauty of the desert scenery. At night there was music, multiple campfires with s'mores, and those spectacular stars, which we were able to see even more vividly through the large portable telescope Craig, an astronomy professor at Northern Arizona State, brings to Clear Sky several nights a week, along with his infectious enthusiasm for the night sky. Meals are all prepared in a food truck owned by Sarah and her husband, James, and everything we had was delicious. The crew in the large dome that serves as the indoor dining area were uniformly warm, upbeat and eager to please. And when they found out it was my birthday, I got a free and very tasty dessert! By and large it's a relatively young crew throughout Clear Sky (I keep avoiding using the word "resort" because it does seem clear from some reviews that if you somehow missed all the caveats and still expected a resort experience, you probably would not be happy), but they all seem proud of the ecological and yes, even spiritual nature of what Clear Sky is offering, and that pride was evident in the way they made every effort to insure we had a memorable visit. We absolutely did, and want to send our thanks to Malik, Derrik, Skylla, Ellee, Yessica, James, Yvonne, Kevin, Xaivier, Cameron, and Noel. And to Luna for the lovely music she and her guitar supplied. One last caveat: Your nighttime experience is going to depend on the weather and the phase of the moon when you arrive. You can control the latter, but you're going to have to go with the flow on the former. With that attitude, you'll have a blast.

This is an experience. An opportunity to escape the endless hub of the city and escape to the Grand Canyon. Make sure you do your research on the weather and when you think you've packed the perfect outfit... check again. The staff was friendly and warm and provided concierge service. While in your car you follow them to your designated parking and they walk you through your dome "How to's". The dorms are big and spacious. If you have a large family these are the perfect rooms for you. They have a lot of activities on the grounds to keep you and your family busy. Parks with swings, slides, a trampoline that isn't really a trampoline, movie night, bonfires, a projection room and much more. They have a strict rule about food. I'm assuming for your safety and wildlife being around. As a result they have a food truck with a variety of options. Personally the pizza was a decent size and could feed at least 3 people in your party. The wings sold out so I would take that as a sign that they are pretty good. They also offer breakfast and lunch so you don't have to leave the grounds if you don't want to Now I know what you're thinking. Why am I giving a 3 when I've written all these wonderful things The devil is in the details They have bikes for you to ride but many of those bikes are broken, missing pedals, and just don't work. They have a bonfire for s'mores but the fire gets low and you have to go to the staff to ask them to place more wood on the fire. Which is fine but it may take 15 minutes before a staff member assists you. They offer movie night but a herd of people stood outside waiting to be let in. The shower water didn't get hot so a cold shower on a winter night at 33 degrees was well The heater in the room didn't get very warm and the extra floor heater didn't work at all so we were in for a chilly night. The space bunk beds have what looks like cool buttons for the kids to play with. Special space lights and blasting but none of it works. The overall dome is not clean and the rooms need attending to I love the concept of this property and I'm sure they will continue to grow. These changes and attention to details will only enhance their experiences

We stayed at Clear Sky on our way to the Grand Canyon. What a fun experience! From the moment we checked in at the Welcome Dome, we knew this was going to be cool. The staff was friendly, talkative and helpful. We were guided as to where to park, and then the staff member took us and our luggage out to our Panorama Dome, as you can't park next to your dome, which was fine. We stepped inside to stunning desert views. We were shown all the ins and outs of the dome, and then left to unpack and take in the beauty surrounding us. We then walked to the food truck, but were told the dining dome was open and we could order inside and take a seat at a table. Everything was decorated for Halloween and the staff was great. There were plenty of food options and yes a bit pricey, but the portions were huge. So much so, we took 1/2 of one dish back to our mini fridge in the dome for a late night snack under the stars. The staff texts often with updates of what is happening, if your dome isn't ready upon arrival, you can park and enjoy all the activities on property and they will text you when it is ready. We were having trouble with one of the heater's in our dome, so we texted the staff and immediately someone was at our dome to show us a trick on the controller. Our dome was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom, which I understand is very hard to do when you are in the middle of the desert. We slept great, it was peaceful and quiet, the bed was comfy and the gift of slippers was a very nice touch. Clear Sky was a great way to camp without camping and having to do the cooking and cleaning. We loved it! The activities on property are extensive. The welcome dome has games, music in the evening, there is a jumping bag, tricycle race track, Frisbee golf and after dark the baskets and frisbee's light up so you can play after dark. They have a small observatory dome. The night we were there they were showing a film. After dark they light several fire pits and offer S'More kits for no charge, which was fun to sit out by the fire and enjoy a favorite camp snack. The food truck food was delicious and nice to have. Yes it is pricey, but we knew that going in. It was a unique and one of a kind experience we won't soon forget. From what the staff tells us, they are opening more around the U.S. The video clips we were able to get of the night sky from the deck of our dome are breathtaking. Views most of us don't get. So all in all well worth the money spent for a quirky and unique experience.

The domes, scenery, overall vibe, and staff were fantastic. They had live music, outdoor fire pits, games, and stargazing. Unfortunately, the food was terrible. The "cavatelli" looked like the picture below and essentially was just Mac and cheese. The churros were dry and hard. The apple cider was the only thing that was actually good. The concept is lovely in general, only tough part with the food being so bad is you'd have to drive 30 minutes closer to the Grand Canyon or 30 minutes closer to flagstaff for good food. (Just something to consider if tight on time).

    Spider webs in bed

Beautiful place with a lot of potential, but definitely not luxury. Spider webs all over the bed, dirty shower, and uneven floor boards around the whole dome. Food is also not great, was served raw chicken while I was there.

    Devon D.

So much fun, really nice and clean domes with full baths, heat and a/c. The food in the dining some is 4 stars too. We had so much fun and the sky window in the ceiling is outstanding for looking at. Enjoy the s'mores, nightly movie, bonfire and a musician in the welcome center and

There are smores every night. They set up a campfire. It's so fun. There is a movie room and they have movie showings throughout the night. There's stargazing organized. There's a giant trampoline. Pretty good location and near Grand Canyon. They have a food truck and serve breakfast and dinner. Staying in a dome is super fun.

I can't recommend Clear Skies Grand Canyon enough. The staff is exceptional from check-in until check-out. Shout out to Alfredo from Mexico, James from South Africa, and Elena from the States who made a lasting impression. Hold onto them and treat them well Clear Skies because they will make guests want to come back, as will the domes and starry skies on clear nights, and complimentary smores kits, and special events like stargazing led by an expert. Things I appreciated as a person who doesn't like camping but loves nature: a golf cart ride to my dome so I don't have to lug luggage on the gravel path; air conditioning for hot days and nights and heat for the opposite; a nice shower (and toilet) in a separate room from the sink, which is also separated by another door to the rest of the room: the suspended chair centered in the front of the dome; the deck, chairs and hammock for stargazing; that the staff moved the queen bed down from the loft for us; the comfy sheets and fluffy towels; and mostly for how warm, welcoming, and friendly the entire staff was. I would not hesitate to return again and again and highly recommend Clear Skies Grand Canyon to everyone looking for a unique experience in a well-run glamping facility.

I'm glad that we did, she was right it's a very pretty and relaxing spot to stop and of course the food is delicious! We started with a cocktail and then we split a hamburger, which was delicious and a salad. Unfortunately, I did not take pictures of the food, but I did of our cocktails which you can see below. Whether staying at the hotel or just passing through to have a bite to eat....I don't think you'll be disappointed! The service at this hotel is always outstanding!

However, when we initially arrived, the young front desk agent with red hair appeared to be on a personal phone call. She ended the call by saying "I love you," which made it seem like it may have been a conversation with a friend. After the call she greeted us, but throughout the interaction she seemed unsure and a bit confused about the information she was giving. I would strongly suggest additional training on customer service and job knowledge to ensure guests feel welcomed and confident in the information they receive. Especially at a property where guests are paying around $1,000 a night, first impressions and professionalism are very important. Aside from that initial front desk experience, everything else about our stay was wonderful.

Housekeeping did a great job keeping our rooms clean and stocked. And the restaurant host was very welcoming. The hotel is super dog friendly, with treats and water bowls available in the lobby. The valet parking is included and they are quick to retrieve the cars. The pool is heated and the jacuzzi was nice and hot, even in 40 degree weather! It also has a great view of the red rocks. The sauna is included but it didn't get as hot as I had hoped. The room we stayed in was very spacious and had all the essentials. The patio doors opened up to a grassy area, perfect for our pup to go potty. The bed and pillows were comfy! Overall a great stay and would go return any time!

Jose at the front desk was jovial and efficient. There was hot cider in the lobby one day and got chocolate the next. And coffee every morning. The pool and outdoor area are spectacular! Great views, will maintained. And then you walk down to the creek! Our room was spacious and clean and quite well appointed. This was our 2nd annual girls weekend after the stress of the holiday. I hope to see you many more years.

The cabin we stayed at was convienently next to the lobby which has Wifi and a store that closes at 9pm. There is a restaurant on the property too. Our cabin was perfect! There were two fireplaces, with wood, matches, and lint chips already so we didn't need to go out and get it, we appreciated this. The cabin was very clean and large, has a master bedroom and master bathroom, with a fireplace. There is a second bedroom in the open space attic with a skylight and two double beds (beautiful spiral staircase for access). There is a tv in both rooms. There is also a tv and fireplace in the living room. There is also a full kitchen, and a wrap around patio where you can hear the creek running and birds. This was a perfect stay for our Anniversary trip. Highly recommend for a romantic trip. Stunning and affordable, my boyfriend found the cabin on a site for under $200 for our night, very much worth it. Looking forward to coming back! There is Wifi in the cabin and a guest book you can sign (at least in our cabin). Electrical heating also worked well, just takes time to kick in, so be patient. Hot showers were plenty.
