Don't waste your money here. Drive seven miles to Williams and get a decent hotel with an actual breakfast.

I stayed in one of their modern glamping domes, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The dome was spacious, beautifully designed, and SO cozy--complete with a plush bed, a private bathroom with a real toilet and hot shower, a wood-burning stove, and floor-to-ceiling windows that made me feel connected to nature while staying completely comfortable. The staff is amazing--so warm, welcoming, and attentive. From check-in to check-out, they go above and beyond to make your stay feel special. I also had dinner at their on-site restaurant and was seriously impressed. The food is fresh, thoughtful, and absolutely delicious--definitely a highlight of the trip. Whether you're looking to disconnect and recharge, explore nearby spots like the Grand Canyon and Flagstaff, or just relax and enjoy beautiful views, Backland is the spot. Peaceful, serene, and unforgettable. Highly recommend for couples, solo travelers, families--honestly anyone who wants a unique and relaxing getaway. I can't wait to come back!

The staff is really friendly. Everyone had a smile on their face and constantly said hello. It was very welcoming. The Trail house and art studio are great additions to the property. You can't take art classes or rent equipment for hikes or bike rides. In both spaces the people are very knowledgeable. Food choices are good. They have coffee shop with a variety of snacks and a couple restaurants. The pool is nice and the tennis bc outta and pickleball courts couldn't have a more scenic view. The Bad - The rooms are pretty dated. They need an upgrade at those prices. I had a patio to sit on but didn't have any chairs on the patio so I couldn't really use it. The room was dark and dim. No soft close toilet seat. Bathroom products were pretty average. Food prices are out of control. I realize it's a resort and we are a captive audience, bit please don't make things grossly overpriced. Don't pay for a private biking tour. Go yourself. The prices for those are outrageous. Download All Trails and go it on your own. Otherwise homes are going to run you $350 per person. That's just not worth it unless you middle name is "moneybags".

As soon as you arrive on property, you are lead into a beautiful lobby. From there guests are taken via a golf cart to your individual suite. All employees go out of their way to provide luxury service here. This includes the spa which we enjoyed, the onsite restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, to the bellman, groundskeepers, servers, and housekeepers. While on property, you can be escorted via property car anywhere in Sedona and picked up via text which is a great benefit. You also receive a $40 breakfast credits for each person daily as part of your stay. Each suite is spacious, luxurious, has a walk-in shower and separate tub. Your bedroom, sitting spaces, are surrounded by floor to ceiling glass that you can fully close automatically for privacy if you so choose. Wonderful place, top notch in every aspect.

The cabin we stayed at was convienently next to the lobby which has Wifi and a store that closes at 9pm. There is a restaurant on the property too. Our cabin was perfect! There were two fireplaces, with wood, matches, and lint chips already so we didn't need to go out and get it, we appreciated this. The cabin was very clean and large, has a master bedroom and master bathroom, with a fireplace. There is a second bedroom in the open space attic with a skylight and two double beds (beautiful spiral staircase for access). There is a tv in both rooms. There is also a tv and fireplace in the living room. There is also a full kitchen, and a wrap around patio where you can hear the creek running and birds. This was a perfect stay for our Anniversary trip. Highly recommend for a romantic trip. Stunning and affordable, my boyfriend found the cabin on a site for under $200 for our night, very much worth it. Looking forward to coming back! There is Wifi in the cabin and a guest book you can sign (at least in our cabin). Electrical heating also worked well, just takes time to kick in, so be patient. Hot showers were plenty.
