Raj deserves more than five stars. I had a different roofer do my roof inspection on my recent house purchase and his estimate was sky-high and called out some pretty significant roof issues. When I told my realtor she told me to get in touch with Clearview as she had used them many times and found the owner to be top quality and extremely reasonable. Raj went up on my roof and took photos of everything and there were actually very few issues. I was told to reseal a bunch of areas around the roof and Raj suggested that we put flashings over any sealant because otherwise it wouldn't last in the Brentwood heat that can reach 106 very easily in the summer. I was sure that the numbers were going to add up but he was so reasonable. Besides being one of the nicest guys, he really likes to do great work and he doesn't like to do a quick job. What he did to my roof will make it last for a really long time with some simple and inexpensive flashings rather than just sealing things up. When he was done he took the after photos also. He went over everything before and after thoroughly with me. I just can't say enough about the confidence I had when he was finished that my roof was in tip-top shape. I don't know if he always does but he did all the work himself, showed up when he said he would, finished when he said he would, and came in exactly at what he said the cost would be. Since we're not up there looking at the roof it's really critical to have somebody you can trust who is not padding the bill. Thanks Raj for a job more than well done. We contacted Raj for a gutter leak during a down pour. Raj inspected the leak and quoted a reasonable price. Raj showed up a couple days later and fixed the leak. Raj found a cracked roof tile and replaced it. He completed the gutter repair and returned to touch up the paint. He provided before and after photos. I wish I could give this company 10 stars! I reached out to them prior to the holidays for a minor roof repair. They contacted me to let me know they were extremely swamped with jobs due to the rains and would not be able to get to me until the third week in January. I let them know that was fine and sure enough just as promised they reached out to me, came over to look at my job and fixed it right there on the spot. I had another part of the job that they had to come back for but they took the time to go to Kelly Moore and match the paint for a small rotted beam they were replacing. Quality work at an honest price. Raj, the company foreman, is a straight shooter. He did an inspection and gave an estimate in about 30 minutes. He stuck to his estimate. I had him replace a 40 foot gutter that had been leaking and he installed gutter guards on roughly 200 linear feet of gutters. He came by after the job was was done to make sure I was happy. Raj's was able to give an estimate on ~22' of gutter and tied it into the existing gutter. I thought I was going to have to spend more money and have another side replaced. We needed new gutters and downspouts and I also wanted to get gutter screens installed. I went with firms recommended on Yelp after getting a way high quote from LeafFilter and reading many dubious reviews about their system. Two firms who responded had good reviews on Yelp and reasonable prices. This was during the start of the pandemic shutdown but these are considered essential businesses. Both firms were prompt with their bids, but once I was ready to begin a week or 2 later, the firm not chosen, whose bid was about $300 lower, did not get back to me for a couple of weeks. So I chose Clear View and I'm glad I did. They were prompt, professional, courteous, and clean. The job was done in a day and Raj was great to work with. He even threw in some free bonus work sealing an exhaust storm collar. He sent me photos of the finished work as well. He pointed out where one of the downspouts was draining into a French drain that is plugged, and recommended that I have someone try to unplug it, which I am now having done. I give Raj Kumar and his crew 5 stars for the repair they did on my difficult roof. I have a steeply pitched roof with lightweight concrete tiles many of which were cracked or broken. I also had multiple previously replaced tiles in the front that were mismatched in color, creating an unattractive patchwork effect. Raj and his team worked with me to find a section of my roof from which the existing tiles could be used to replace the mis-colored patches and to replace all of the cracked/broken ones. The end result was extremely satisfactory and now my roof looks flawless. The new tiles are now placed in one discreet area of my roof which is not seen from the front. Of the several estimates I received Clear View was reasonably priced, they scheduled me promptly and communicated very well throughout the entire process. Unlike some of the other bids, they did not inflate the scope of work needed and didn't try to upsell me. Great experience with Raj and his crew. I had new gutters installed and Raj took the appointment but he had to change it as he was stuck at other work. He called n updated me and arrived on time next day. Even though my job was a small one he took time to go over my roof which was a new addition and suggested me few things which would help it in long run. Very knowledgeable n experienced himself n his crew are n they finished my job on time and he returned n double checked the work.....which was not necessary though. ppl don't even handshake after work is done. Fun part started now, he asked me to mail the check which i did and weirdly after 2 weeks i did not see it get deposited. So i called him to check if he had deposited the chq. He told me he will verify at his office n let me know. He calls next day and mentioned they haven't received my cheq yet, which was strange. i sent him the pics of issued cheq n mail .he realized there was a number mismatch on po box number. If I could give 6 stars I would. Clear View quoted me for the repair of several broken tiles and a clean out of the valleys on my roof. The arrived promptly and were incredibly professional. During the course of the repairs they found many more broken tiles plus some other small issues which they repaired without any additional charges. They actually ran out of replacement tiles before they were finished and came back later that night (around 9 pm) in the dark to put the last few tiles in place as they were concerned it would rain next day. They followed up with photos of the repairs to show me the work done. They worked through the hottest weeks of summer without a single complaint, took pictures of the damages and progress to keep me in the loop, showed up everyday with a friendly attitude, and triple checked everything to make sure the roof was completely leak proof. Their pricing is more than reasonable when you think of how physically demanding their job is, especially when temps hit close to 100 degrees and they continue to work through all of it. Wow! I work with a lot of contractors and agree with many of the reviews, that Raj from Clear View Roofing was definitely top notch! We are selling our 3,500sf home with tile roof, and it had lots of deferred maintenance and incorrect repairs over the years. Homeguard did roof inspection and called out several necessary repairs. We had Raj out to bid the repairs based on Homeguard's report, but instead Raj went through the whole roofing system (and gutters) and proposed full inspection and repairs for hundreds less than Homeguard's bid to patch things. This included replacing many concrete tiles (instead of patching like homeguard proposed), adding flashing and even capping (and painting) ridges where replacement was not possible. They even fixed an area of roof that had previous issues. His team's work was profession, clean and very very through. His communications was also what made working with his team a great experience as you always knew where he was at with things including pictures and reports. Great job!! read more
