We had a wonderful stay here. We booked a two-story room complete with one bedroom with two queen beds, two bathrooms, a loft with a queen size bed, a living room with a hide-a-bed couch, and full kitchen - perfect accommodations for five adults, three kids, and a toddler. There is free internet, and there's also free hotel breakfast each morning. We stay here to go to Disneyland for two days with one rest day in between. I saw a commercial that says this hotel is walking distance to Disneyland. It seemed far for us so we opted to drive and pay for parking instead. We usually stay at the parks for more than 12 hours, so we didn't want to add an additional 20+ minute walk each way to a very long day. Typical complimentary breakfast menu, it was very convenient to have. In addition to coffee, they also had hot chocolate. Overall, we had a good experience. We stayed here for our Disneyland trip. The room is a little old, but it was mostly clean. The one thing that was disappointing is we got some wrong info from the front office staff. She told us we couldn't take the Toy Story Shuttle. While we were walking, we saw a ton of people walking into the toy story Shuttle area and we were able to ride it with no issues. The breakfast was amazing! And we loved that we didn't have to pay a lot for parking. We were excited to use the pool but unfortunately it was under construction. I've stayed at the Clementine twice and loved it each time. It's a great location for the Disneyland runs because it's a block away from the start and finish lines. Also great location for Disneyland park itself. There's a shuttle to the parks or a 15 minute walk. The staff at the front desk are very nice. Super friendly and welcoming. It was very nice to have the breakfast buffet after the race. The restaurant staff are also very attentive. My group all enjoyed the fresh waffles. The rooms are clean and spacious. The place has a lot of amenities like free parking, pool, laundry, allows pets, and free breakfast. It has everything Id want in a hotel and it's a great price. The included breakfast was fantastic. The purpose of the trip was for my 7 year olds bday. She wanted to go to California and Disneyland. The thing she told her grandma that was her favorite part of the trip? The potatoes during breakfast. She wanted to put them n in a cup and bring them back home like a pet. Room was incredibly spacious. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and the attendants were friendly. There was plenty of seating so never had to carry food back to my room. The location wasn't bad. If your feet are tired after a day at Disneyland, an Uber back to the hotel was typically only $8-$15 depending on whether we used a standard Uber or UberXL. Otherwise, it's about a 20-minute walk. Our experience started off poorly when we arrived about three hours before check-in and were charged $35 plus tax for early check-in, even though our room was already available. During a previous trip, we stayed at SpringHill Suites by Marriott and were allowed to check in at 7:00 a.m. at no extra charge, so this fee felt excessive. The beds were extremely firm and uncomfortable, and the breakfast was disappointing enough that we chose to eat in the parks instead. When we entered our room, there appeared to be dried urine on the upstairs bathroom floor near the toilet. I wiped it up with one of our towels, and the residue was yellow, which raised concerns about the room's cleanliness. The pool and hot tub were also closed for renovations, which was not disclosed on the website or in our reservation details. That was a major disappointment, especially since those amenities were part of the reason we chose this property. The website also still advertises a shuttle service. As Disneyland Magic Key holders, we were already aware that the local bus service had recently been discontinued, but we asked about the hotel shuttle upon arrival because it is still listed on the website. We were told the hotel does not offer one. For guests who are unaware of the transportation changes, this could create a significant inconvenience. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. I sent a message several hours ahead of time asking when the earliest we can check in. We got up at 4;00 AM to drive to Anaheim, Ca for Disneyland. There was no response to my message. We arrived at around 1:00 PM and we were advised there was nothing ready pn the ground floor as the 2nd story rooms required stairs and I was just recovering from a broken foot and had an electric scooter which I could not get up the stairs. We were tired and just wanted to rest. I saw multiple people check in after us, and they all got rooms and room keys. Almost 1 hour and 40 minutes, and I checked again, and still nothing was available on the ground floor. I felt as if we didn't exist. It is a Monday afternoon, It doesn't make sense that they would not have anything available on ground level. read more

Last time I stayed here was about 15 years ago. It's nice to see that it is still a nice and bustling hotel. I like the location and the size of the rooms. On my recent visit, I stayed at both the studio and 1 bedroom. Both of them had a kitchen area with seating. Parking, especially if your room is by the lobby area is pretty scarce. You'll need to find parking in the back and walk through the property to get to your room. This property offers breakfast that consists of both hot and cold items. There was also a section where you can make yourself some fresh waffles. Like most places where it's self served, it bound to get messy and you really have to watch to make sure what you get is 'safe' to eat. I literally saw a lady reach over to the other side, with her bare hands, to get a tortilla! Yep, I avoided that like a plague. Overall, it's a nice place, it's quiet and felt safe. read more

It's also very affordable, about $150 for a king suite for one night. The only downside has been customer service during a few interactions. While the front desk is usually friendly and accommodating, one particular staff member has been consistently rude in several encounters, making us feel like an inconvenience with visible eye rolls and audible sighs. If we didn't love everything else about this hotel, that alone might have been enough to deter us. We are a family of 4, kids are young adults so our choice of a Studio Suite to "save money" was the only regret, was very cramped BUT for 3 days it was fine. Pros: Quick walk to Disney, and Ubers are always within 3 minutes away. King bed in our suite was SO comfy!! Much better than expected for a hotel mattress. Breakfast buffet starts early at 6am which is great for Disney rope-droppers. 6 waffle irons, which is above and beyond! Scrambled eggs were surprisingly not gross like other hotel eggs. Kitchen was a little sparse in terms of cooking amenities but got the job done. Cons: No fitness center! I'm sure they removed it due to low demand, but we didn't even consider that there wouldn't be even a small gym with some free weights, that was shocking! The sofa bed mattress was torture, super small and thin, even worse than the usual sofa beds. Overall this was a good value and great location. If you have stayed at Residence Inn's, then it's basically the same thing (without a gym!). Having a kitchen is a Godsend for a Disneyland family who likes to get an early start. Even though the breakfast bar opens early, we used the kitchen to make our own big breakfasts super early so we could head to the park at opening. I will preface by saying that I've stayed at a few budget to mid-range hotels in the Disney area in my lifetime; I don't typically seek upscale stays because I'll be at Disney or doing things all day anyways, but I also am too old and priss to stay at super low end motels. Clementine Hotel & Suites offers a really good mid-range hotel experience, with the added benefit of having apartment amenities, including their kitchen area and the style of the grounds. The walk to Downtown DIsney is almost 20 minutes, with nothing really to see on the path other than an entrance to GardenWalk. Check-in is after 4pm and check-out is 11am. I booked this stay last minute - a little over two weeks before I needed to find a hotel, and it was also Christmas season. As such, I was expecting higher prices, which was the case for basically everywhere. For this trip, I wanted to budget out a nightly rate between $150-200 and was weighing factors such as walking distance, parking fees, free breakfast, water pressure, and other amenities. Clementine's nightly rate was on the cheaper end of the spectrum, but when I got the total after taxes and fees, it actually was the most expensive on my list of potential hotels - yes that's right, there's a $30+/day resort fee charge that's baked in to your final hotel total price. At the very least, you don't get charged this at the counter, and I'm a fan of no hidden fees. You do get charged a deposit fee at the counter, which is refunded after your stay. - Amenities Free breakfast, free and easy parking (additional cars cost extra depending on type of suite you reserve), free wi-fi, barbecue patio and fire pit, playground, heated pool (there was a hot tub but I'm not sure if it was functioning), sport court (tennis, basketball, or volleyball) with complimentary equipment, a kid's room, and other basics. They also have a fully equipped kitchen and full size fridge! I unfortunately did not have time to partake in most amenities other than the breakfast. The breakfast was pretty awesome. There were fruits, scrambled eggs, crispy potatoes that tasted AMAZING because they were perfectly hot, crisp, and fluffy, rotating meats (we had ham and sausage patties), cereal, toast, waffles, oatmeal, pastries, various juices, coffee, and tea. It may have been my favorite free breakfast of all time because of the fantastic potatoes, which I normally don't touch. The breakfast room was pretty crowded until the very end of breakfast hours, and they were okay about restocking. As for the kitchen, there was oddly no dish soap or cleaner, so I just boiled water in a pot to clean the kitchenware before using them. Thankfully, they had paper towels. - Room We stayed in their smallest offering, the studio suite. It was pretty clean and respectable. The layout is very anti feng shui, with the view of the bed being directly across from the entrance door, the tv pointed at nothing in between the bed and couch, and a hidden alcove cabinet where they keep the pots and toaster being directly across the stove. The pillows had a good weight to them while being fluffy, and the blankets were cheap, scrunchy, and lightweight. We had to request an additional blanket at the front desk. The suite also had convenient outlets. We heard several things outside of our room because of the thin walls, but slept well because the nights were quiet. - Bathroom The sink is located outside of the toilet and shower room. Water heated up very fast, but the shower pressure was as expected for drought-ridden California - it was adequate and rain-like, except it was like a large droplet rain with less streams. I think the best part of my stay at Clementine was the super friendly front desk receptionist. She was overly helpful with everything, and one of the nicest people I've ever met. Overall, I was quite happy about my stay here and would come back. They kind of have a teal and orange theme and I dig it. read more

The Clementine Hotel & Suites is our go-to for Disneyland visits. The location is excellent. An easy .7 mile walk to the parks entrance, and you pass a very cool outdoor shopping and entertainment area (the STC Anaheim Gardenwalk) on the way. The rooms are huge, the prices are excellent, and the breakfast/parking are included. The breakfast was pretty good too. Definitely plenty of food to fill you up for the day. Joshua checked us in and he was friendly and polite. Our stay was pretty nice. There was some noisy AC and plumbing in the room, but we're staying here to go to Disneyland. We were so exhausted it didn't bother us in the slightest. Even my wife who is typically a light sleeper was not bothered by it. So I guess it wasn't that bad. I very much like to set up of the rooms. There are a lot of features, including a full kitchen, which is great. The property also has lots to do for families. A pool, a kids area, lots of stuff we didn't use personally, but it would be great if you're actually gonna spend some time on the property. All in all, the Clementine hotel and suites is a great option for families in general, but especially if you're planning on going to Disneyland or California adventure. Highly recommend it. Ya know I wasn't quite sure what to expect since I wasn't the one who made the reservation. It being my first time in California since I was a child I was like a kid at the candy store there. They have lovely pool area that has not only a pool but a jacuzzi, and a kiddie pool for the munchkins. The room we had had a loft that was actually pretty neat. With 2 bathrooms and 3 beds along with a sofa bed and a full sized kitchen/ dining area this place felt like a suite. In the mornings they offer a buffet style breakfast with a little of everything for everyone. It's sure to please even the pickiest of eaters. Behind the check in counter there was a small library/ play area for the munchkins. Towards the motel 6 they offer a playground. This hotel is within close proximity of just about everything. You can even walk to Disneyland if you wanted. 10 outta 10 I'd definitely stay there again! read more

Other hotels have started private trams due to this issue of ART transit being shut down but not clementine hotel! So this review is coming really late but I really want to give this review. My son & I stayed at the Clementine from 2/7-2/11/26. I had done a lot of research and wanted a good hotel plus the most bang for my buck. They did not disappoint. The breakfast was great, the room was spacious, and the value was great. I will say the walk to the park was long but Ubers in the area were beyond reasonable. I did share this with the hotel so I feel it's appropriate to share here. Housekeeping needs to happen on a regular basis. I was told that housekeeping came on the third day if you gave 24 hours notice. I did that but when we returned back to the hotel from the park that night housekeeping had not visited our room. I did share with the hotel that it has been long enough from Covid and the hotel is such a great experience that they really need to up their housekeeping game. I do feel very confident that the hotel listened, and I am quite certain that this will have been rectified. I had some issues with billing and worked with manager Alex over a course of several days and I cannot tell you how incredibly professional and helpful she was. Weird? - We got a "No smoking" room that heavily smelled like smoke. - The dust is absolutely HORRENDOUS. I was coughing all night because we turned on the air and dust was blowing out all night (we didn't realize this until morning). My allergies have never been this bad in my life. - All the things in the kitchen (cups/plates) had dust all over them. - Sheets were super cheap. Towels too-- they felt like paper. Stayed here on a holiday weekend for a girls staycation with two friends and had a great experience! The room was spacious and the kitchen was a full kitchen with a full size fridge, a stove/oven, and a microwave. Loved all of the room for storing clothes and suitcases. This really feels like a home away from home. Our only gripe was that we couldn't figure out how to utilize the plug in for the tv, which was a bummer. The breakfast buffet in the morning was great! Not a ton of options, but all the essentials: eggs, ham/sausage, potatoes, cereal, make-your-own waffles, fruit, bread, juice/coffee. Stayed here last week for a few days of Lunar New Year at Disney before it ended, my party and I liked the look of the hotel from the pictures. It took a few minutes for the gentlemen in the back room to come out and get us checked in, but he was quick in telling us where to go and giving us a map. Although I was a little off guard with how he loudly stated the room number in a lobby with other guests in it, I still thanked him and left to the room. They're big and they are very nice, but my room's furniture and carpet DID have a little wear and tear, things happen it's cool. IThe only annoying issue I had was the wifi, I think unless you're near the lobby area you're going to have a hard time connecting and using it, had to forget network on my phone just to be able to use my own internet! I will also say the room I had DID have a random couple clear pushpins in the wall, possibly from removed paintings, so at least keep an eye on your family until you can check! Thankfully my family was old enough to ignore it but I was worried for some kiddos. Also he woman who works mornings with a bright smile and cheery voice did make our day though, she checked us out easily and we even got to watch her skillfully deal with a Karen who wanted her room cleaned the morning after she woke up despite them requesting 24 hour notice. I also didn't mind the additional resort fee, however I wish it was added to the original payment card instead of the one used at check-in. I'm a bit disappointed! The rooms here are not cheap and considerably more than surrounding hotels. We stayed in 2018 and had a fantastic experience, so we booked and pressured friends to do the same. Upon arrival, the rooms were moderately clean. I did a quick disinfectant wipe of the door knobs, light switches, and remotes, and it's apparent these items are not cleaned. Our friends had a much more unsettling experience of finding fake eyelashes, pill candy, and cigarette cellophane on the carpet. (not ideal for young children to stumble upon) They only clean your room every three days unless you request 24 hours in advance. It's incredibly annoying traveling with young children not to have clean towels and full trash, so we asked for our room to be cleaned on the second night/third day, and it was not. Someone came and took the trash and left a stack of towels in the kitchen, but floor was littered with our wet towels, and the sink full of dishes. Nothing else had been touched. The kicker is that they don't give you dish soap or a sponge, so we didn't have what we needed to clean the dishes ourselves. I called the desk to mention the trouble of our room and asked someone to clean it the next day. They didn't apologize but said someone would come the following day. The room was much cleaner the next day but still not great. The dishes remained, so I put them away and picked up the room myself. It's not a big deal, but certainly not the service I was expecting. The breakfast is not what it was, but better than nothing. We loved this hotel so much that I'm really disappointed. If I hadn't known it before, it might not have been as disappointing. If you choose to stay, clearly ask for the room to be cleaned daily and specifically request dish soap and a sponge. We learned only after a complaint that you must request them. I would have felt better if they had apologized or acknowledged some of the issues we politely mentioned, but they went unaddressed. We also had family stay in the suites a street behind, and they had a fantastic experience and paid much less. We will stay there next time. read more

Our second time staying here was with my extended family. We got the bi-level loft. There are two queen beds on the bottom and a kind sized bed on the second floor. Our stay was good. We got a suite with 2 beds in one room, another bed in one room by themselves and then there was a pull out sofa in the living room. There was a fridge and a microwave and a small dining table to eat, fit comfortably 8 adults. The location is nice in the heart around oc/fullerton. Also check in was fairly easy and the price was reasonable. I'm giving an extra star bc I had misplaced my Valentino shoes and they were very accommodating and found it the next day and kept it safe at their lost and found where we were able to pick up the next day. The lack of communication for this hotel is very unfortunate. I booked my hotel with the understanding that there was a pool and shuttle service, two things that were extremely important to us for our hotel stay and when we arrived we were told they offered neither. This wouldn't have been an issue if I was informed ahead of time or sent an email updating me because I would've booked elsewhere but there was no update on that. I paid over 2,500 for our hotel and the front desk staff member that checked me in saw my shock at the news of no shuttle and no pool and he asked "you didn't think to call us?" Which of course not, I expect what I booked for to be there, I would never think to keep calling the hotel to make sure they have the amenities they say they offered. It was like a slap in the face with bad news and a rude follow up question. I was really excited to stay here and was overwhelmingly disappointed. Other things to note, the breakfast is really low quality food, it made my family feel sick after eating it. They only clean your room after the 3rd day of your stay. All of this to say that it was a huge waste of money and the amount it costs to stay there is not worth what they offer. We ended up having to buy day passes for a pool at another hotel for the extra days we booked for swimming specifically. Very disappointed. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Front desk staff was so friendly and that's only positive. We had planned a 3 night stay for our Disneyland vacation. The first night we found a cockroach, they said they would have someone come and spray the room. 4 hours later we return to the room with the dead cockroach still in our kitchen not cleaned up and nobody came to spray! The next morning we woke to a bed bug on the couch sofa bed we slept on! The receptionist couldn't give us a full refund so we had to call when the "manager" Alex would come in. After going back and forth with Alex she said she would get me the general manager, Alex and James who are supposedly the managers were basically pointing fingers saying they can't confirm the bugs were from our stay. And that they had a "specialist" come out to check and there were no signs of bed bugs or cockroaches. Total BS. Back and forth over the phone for a refund for almost an hour!!! I would not recommend anyone staying here. We had high hopes because of the TripAdvisor reviews, I wish I would have checked help first!! Where do I even begin with this review? If I could, I'd give 2.5 stars, but unfortunately, that's not an option. Yesterday, I requested housekeeping services for my room and was assured someone would be there at 2 PM. But no one ever showed up. When we checked in, we were told to call whenever we needed housekeeping, so we did exactly that. What happened on their end? Who knows. I spoke to an associate last night who apologized and promised that our room would be serviced today. He even brought us some towels and washcloths himself, which I appreciated. And while the room did get serviced today, there's still this awful lingering odor that I just can't get past. To be honest, this whole experience has been far from what I expected. I'm really disappointed. The missed housekeeping is just the tip of the iceberg--I've been "settling" with this room ever since we arrived. Normally, I try to be gracious when reviewing places, but in this case, my patience has really run out. The room has a strong, musty smell, possibly from the carpet or furniture, and the bathroom and bedroom areas have this awful sewage odor. As a former plumber, I suspect the p-trap in the bathroom needs to be checked because it's likely causing that terrible smell. But that's not all. Some of our towels were dingy and yellowish, and the bed linens were stained. The balcony door handle is loose, as is the apparatus that holds the security bar. There's no working ice maker, and there's something in the freezer that I can't even identify. Using the safe was another headache--it didn't work properly, even after I followed the instructions. Overall, the cleanliness of the room was a big letdown. We actually had to do some cleaning ourselves when we first arrived. Another thing that bothered me was the check-in process. The front desk associate wasn't welcoming at all--when I asked questions, I got short, curt responses, and it felt like they had an attitude. This is mainly why I didn't bring up these issues sooner--I didn't want to deal with that associate any more than I had to. Honestly, the only positives I can mention are the decor (though the color choices are questionable) and the convenience to Disneyland. It's about a 15-minute walk, which is nice. But for what we paid, I expected so much more. I'm just being honest here--I really thought this place would be better. The pictures online are definitely misleading. I'm requesting housekeeping again today, and if you do decide to stay here, I'd suggest scheduling it by phone and also sending a message via the hotel's email to make sure they follow through. Lastly, one of the housekeeping staff was pretty rude when I mentioned we'd be leaving the room in an hour. She was an older Caucasian lady with blonde hair, and her attitude was uncalled for. All in all, our experience here was disappointing. We won't be coming back. read more

This place was great! My family of 4 stayed in the 1 bedroom suite. Full kitchen with an ice maker. Comfortable beds, very clean. Nice tv in both the bedroom and the living room. A full kitchen table in the dining room with enough seating for us and guests. The free breakfast was really good for the family before heading off to Disney. The food they serve is really good and there are lots of choices. The pool area is huge and very clean with plenty of towels. The whole complex was clean and no foul smells. The office has snacks and essentials you may have forgotten to pack! Overall our stay was fantastic! read more

DO NOT STAY HERE!! Stayed here with my family for a Disneyland trip. We are pass-holders and frequent the area. I've seen this hotel and wanted to give it a try. The staff is great and it's a really cute place. We came back from our long day at Disney and almost immediately went to bed. Woke up in the morning and rushed to breakfast. Breakfast was ok, the staff was working really hard and it was packed! Headed back to our room and quickly packed up before check out. I had noticed a large bite on my wrist and was a little uneasy but my husband assured me it was a mosquito bite. HE WAS WRONG! I started noticing welts all over my body. They just keep appearing. I'm disgusted. I'm traumatized. I can't sleep thinking I brought them back home with me. I read another review with video and pictures of bed bugs in the same building we stayed. I wonder if it was the same room and just never addressed by hotel staff. read more

Horrible billing & customer service. Rented bi level suite for my family for $1244 for 3 days. I provided my card for payment & $150 security deposit$1394. We checked out on time. We had plans to shop & stop by the beach on the way home. Couldn't do that since the hotel charge my card another $1200 to pay the room again. That left me with $30 to get my family home. So the hotel had charged my card almost $3000.00. They didn't care. That is ridiculous and I have never experienced that ever and I travel a lot. Hotel place holds on you card and then finalize out from that original hold. Staff claimed it because I did not pre-paid for the room. Hello that what the hold is for. Stayed here during our 4 day Disney vacation. It's farther from the park than places we've stayed before, but still within easy walking distance. The rooms are ok, could use some updating. It was nice to have a small kitchenette to keep our leftovers and drinks cold. The housekeeping service came on day 3 of our stay. We did not have any body wash in the shower when we arrived and didn't have any after housekeeping cleaned. Also the safe did not work when we arrived and after a while it was discovered that the batteries were in the wrong way so rather than calling anyone, we fixed it ourselves. The complimentary breakfast was helpful each morning to have a few bites before going into the park, but the breakfast room was packed so we just filled up plates and brought them back to our room. Would probably not stay here again if there were other options available. read more
