First time trying this place... it was amazing and the ladies so friendly. Will be back here thank you so much!

first time trying the sandwiches from clem's. i got the san diegan and sledgehammer to share with my partner, my kids got a blt and imported ham sandwich, respectively. they were all fantastic! they were SO loaded. they also gave us an entire container of pickles that absolutely made my night! we will definitely be back.

BEST SANDOS IN SAN DIEGO! I ask for substitutions and they always make a recommendation on how to order based on what you want. Their sandwiches are excellent and the store is super organized and clean. I don't live close, but stop in when I'm in the area. My fave is The Charger.

Refrigerated case with so many different root beers and other non alcoholic drinks.

I've lived in Kensington for 24 years. Clem's (and their associated Tap Room) is a neighborhood treasure. They are family owned and operated and are the nicest people. Sandwiches at the deli are awesome. They have a great selection of made-to-order sandwiches as well as some freshly premade items if you are in a hurry. Usually, because the sandwiches are so large, I'll split one with a friend or save the other half for later. (You can order items and bring them to the Tap Room in the back if you'd like to eat at the bar.). They also have an excellent selection of beers, wines and other beverages. Paul is super helpful and can also do special orders if you need an item they don't have. Very recently, I had a craving for root beer. I had no idea of the selection of root beers and other non-alcoholic beverages they also offer. Cream sodas, cherry colas, ginger beer, grape soda etc. Amazing. Definitely do not pass up Clem's if you are looking for a good sandwich. Take a break and eat at the Tap Room and enjoy a beer or two on their covered patio.

Charger (near) San Diegan (far)

TL;DR: They make a good sandwich to order. Not taking away anything from the service and freshness, but you can probably make the same sando at home for less Stopped by during off-hours and were quickly helped by the staff - we ordered the San Diegan and the Charger and both were good Having said that, I'm pretty sure these sandos can be made at home for much less. I appreciate a good sandwich as much as the next person but these sandwiches really don't bring anything new to the table. Normally, homemade is a good thing but for sandwiches, it's just a little too basic

I had to retrain myself from starting, so I could take this photo!

After getting such an amazing sandwich that was literally two meals! I just had to write another review. I've been here a zillion times and this family; Wally, Paul and Anthony [sorry, I don't know the Mother's name] are all consistent in friendly customer service. I ordered a chicken breast and mortadella on sourdough with provolone. Mayo only, lettuce, tomato and onion. Here's a pro-tip: if you want to elevate your sandwich salt and pepper the tomato layer, trust me, your welcome. Wow, lettuce leaves!! Not the shredded garbage from a bag that spills everywhere that every other deli only offers. Not at Clem's! they use lettuce leaves!! What a fresh tasting difference. The sourdough bread is nice and sour. Honestly, it is like eating a salad and good quality meats all rolled into one. [maybe that's why the sandwich is such a popular and convenient food. Thank you again Clem's I'll be back ; ]

Always come to clems for my sandwiches. The ladies there who make the sandwiches are super friendly and nice, so are the men who run the cash register. Their sandwiches and subs are delicious and worth it. They are filled with the ingredients. My favorites there are the BLT with provolone cheese, the San diegan is really good too! The prices are worth it too because they really fill your sandwiches up and are not greedy! Love Clems. Come here every week because is next to my work!

I suggested here. Warm friendly greeting when we walked in. I told the hostess we didn't have a reservation and was just coming in for a drink. She gave us a nice table inside. We ordered a bottle of prosecco. "Let's celebrate the end of the school year!" We also ordered a chicken empanada and a mushroom empanada...both very good! The pickled vegetables were delicious too! Service was wonderful as always! Again, I would be here more often but it's always busy. Although, coming back is always special!

Our waitress was a total superstar and took great care of us with service and answering questions. We even joked about Star Trek a bit. I ordered the Rose salad and some roasted potatoes (Bravas Rosas). The potatoes were really delicious and well-seasoned with crunchy and soft parts and a nice spicy dipping sauce. I wanted to love the salad because it was large and well-dressed, BUT the lettuce was gritty and could've used a more thorough rinse. I ended up not eating much of it because the texture wasn't good. One of my friends got the Rose Salad Pie which she really enjoyed (basically a pizza with Rose Salad on top) and my other friend got the gazpacho which really liked. I would definitely come back and try some other dishes. If I do, I'll update the review!

I made a reservation (just in case) because on a weekend you never know. Luckily, though, we arrived and there was plenty of available seating. My husband and I had our 10 and 5 year old with us and they easily accommodated us. It's a straightforward, but lovely menu that has a little bit for everyone. We enjoyed sharing a few plates and fresh oysters on the half shell. They do not have a kids menu, which was alright with us. Our daughter, who loves a good steak at 5 years old, enjoyed their pub steak and fries and shared a Mexican Coke with her brother. For my husband and I, we enjoyed sharing their beef tartare and to finish it off, a banana split. What we found so whimsical about Finca is their presentation. My husband and I really enjoyed exploring their menu and leaving room for a return visit soon. I couldn't recommend Finca more for anyone looking for a fun and casual dining experience with a lovely staff and unique take on traditional favorites.

I think we ordered just about everything on the left side of the menu, but the standouts were the beef tartare, the lamb osso buco, and the hamachi. Honestly, there wasn't a single bad bite all night. The wine list is thoughtfully curated, with some unique Spanish selections that were a pleasant surprise. This may have just become my new regular haunt. It's a fantastic neighborhood gem that deserves a place on any foodie's must-visit list. Absolutely love this place!

Although my last visit wasn't bad, it was just middle of the road and left me wanting more-especially in regards to the Wagyu burger and the bacon. This time around, I decided to switch it up a bit. As we arrived, I ordered my current favorite beer on tap, Coco Ono, from Bay City Brewing. It's a piña coloda IPA that's not too sweet, and has great coconut flavor. Moments later I realized that there was a Taco Tuesday special that was $15 for 2 tacos a draft beer of your choosing. Since the Coco Ono is $9 alone (ouch!), I realized it was a better deal to get the Taco Tuesday special. I asked Karina if I could turn that draft I ordered into the special, and they kindly obliged...nice! The last time I was here, I noticed some wings coming out of the kitchen and they looked awesome. So this time I knew I had to get the wings, $16. I ordered a 9 piece of Buffalo wings, per staff recommendation, and they did not disappoint. We actually got 10 piping hot wings served with stacks of baby carrots, fresh cut celery, and both ranch and blue cheese. I'd love to see them do a homemade ranch because it would better compliment the wings than that Hidden Valley stuff. Wings were a 5/5!!! I forgot to even mention the tacos. That's probably because I forgot about them...lol. While the small TJ tacos had some solid carne with onions and cilantro, they were a bit plain. Served on two tortillas with 2 salsas, and 2 limes, a little bit of guac would have livened them up. I probably wouldn't order them on their own at $3 each, but as part of the $15 deal, it was all good. 4/5 for the deal. Lastlly, we ordered the BBQ chicken pizza, which was a HITT!. I had previously tried a few slices of pepperoni pizza last time, and it was a good snack to have with some brews, but nothing memorable. However this time, the BBQ Chicken pizza was up there with my favorite one in town. It was covered with loads of chicken, which they stated was cooked in-house, cilantro and BBQ sauce. The crust did look like it was a little over baked, but it ended up having a perfect under crust with zero burnt flavor. Only the outer crust was ultimately effected and got a bit crackery. All in all it was a really delicious pie. All the while Karina and Emma were answering my many questions, tapping off our drinks, and providing pretty much anything we asked for. The food presentation was great, the restaurant was immaculate, and the service was friendly, all giving an overall 5 stars. Thanks to Emma, Karina, Paul, and the kitchen staff for making this a delicious evening. I'll definitely be back for the pizza and the wings.

I came across KNB on Yelp when trying to find something I hadn't been to yet. KNB Bistro is in a small strip mall next the Windmill Farms market in San Carlos, just off College Avenue. Unknown to me until my arrival, KNB stands for Keg N Bottle, for the bottle shop attached to the bistro. I met up with a friend on a Monday evening right after work. I had noted a happy hour menu online. When I arrived, I checked in at the front and chose an outdoor table. I will say that it was pleasant with the heating, and despite being in a strip mall with a parking lot in front of us, it was actually a nice place to hang out. We spoke to our server about the happy hour menu. Actually the red white wines that were on special by the glass were wines that I enjoy. However, as they were offering a "no corkage special", we decided to walk through the bottle shop and choose a bottle to share. The bottle shop was really impressive and can easily rival some of the large chain liquor stores in the area. After a long time walking around, we chose a lovely Italian Red Blend. However, had they not had the "no corkage special", we would not have had that experience, as I simply would never pay an extra $10 for the bottle. For food, we shared the mushroom flatbread. I chose the happy hour cauliflower bites and my friend chose the happy hour Brussels sprouts. The flatbread was delicious, but I think it could have used more mushrooms. I enjoyed the flavor of the cauliflower bites, but I wished that they had been less battered. I really would give 3.5 stars as the food was good, but not great. However, I chose four stars as I enjoyed my overall experience and would definitely go back. It is a decent happy hour and I believe that it is really a good deal. There were a couple of salads on the menu that sounded really good and I would like to try one of those next time.
