Why is it so hard for some car dealers to tell the truth? I was lied to about a lot of aspects of my potential car deal. Once I found out the real truth I bought somewhere else. Elaine has poor customer service and the sales manager was not transparent about anything. On Saturday, 2/19/2022, my 2010 Honda CR-V LX starting motor stopped working. I had it towed to Firestone, 3450 S General Bruce Dr., Temple, TX. They evaluated and replaced the starter for $624.92. When I left the store, the engine made a rumbling noise that got louder upon acceleration. Once at highway speed and let off the acceleration, the noise went away until I pressed the gas pedal again. I took the car back and told them of the problem. I thought it might be the exhaust manifold. The personnel at Firestone told me that it was probably the catalytic converter that "finally failed." Then they checked the car and said it was a wheel bearing. I didn't believe that the catalytic converter or the wheel bearing could have coincidentally gone out during a routine starter replacement, so I drove the car to Cleo Bay Honda in Killeen to have a mechanic troubleshoot the noise. Cleo Bay duplicated the noise by a test drive and noticed that the air filter housing cover was left loose. The noise was coming from the loose air filter box. The mechanic correctly installed the air filter and air filter box cover and re-clamped the cover. After the repair was correctly made by the mechanic at Cleo Bay Honda, the subsequent road test showed no noise. There was nothing wrong with the wheel bearing and the noise was not made by a "failure" of the catalytic converter. I am very satisfied with my service from Cleo Bay Honda. They didn't charge me for the troubleshooting or for the eventual repair to fix what Firestone did to the car. read more

We purchased a used Honda Accord with less than 50K on it , they said it was a Certified Honda 50 point check car . Ok , that's good , it was a nice clean car , too nice . I should have known there was something fishy when got home and the car was low on engine oil and tire pressure was off . We had to go back that weekend and they replaced the battery because of 20 different codes coming up . The car had 2 kinds of warranty bumper to bumper . It had a bad ECM all they cared about was us paying a 169.99 diagnostic fee up front even with all the Honda warranty . This place couldn't be beat, and Tony did a great job helping us get our car! We spent all weekend looking at places and just couldn't find what we wanted. i got it narrowed down at Cleo Bay and asked them to have the cars waiting out front Monday evening so I could come test drive. They had them ready and waiting, I got to drive both, and Tony helped with the specifics of each car. We drove an hour to get there, but it was definitely worth it! I think we spent more time driving there and back than it did to close the deal on our great new car. When I had gotten my car here in May 2018 and I had a great experience. They worked with me and did what they can to get me into the car I wanted. I went back Feb 6, 2019 for some issues I had that Walmart messed up. And the technicians did a great job to look at my car and to put back replacements. Poor service and communication. Scheduled a test drive a few days prior and relayed information that I live an hour away and it was the only time I could take off. Right before I was to head that way I was told the vehicle sold, so I took time off of work for no reason and lost time and money. Won't do business there again. read more
