Lamb's Tire & Automotive - My 20 year old Mustang

I also took it in for an oil change and state certification. Upon picking up my vehicle, they emailed me a report, which is nice. However, they merely went through a book that said "at this amount of mileage replace this", and "this amount of mileage also replace this". And then they recommended that I replace those items. What got my attention is why it said to replace the spark plugs and I had just replaced the spark plugs about 5000 miles ago because I was going on a long trip and I wanted to make sure that everything was OK. I actually had the whole car looked over to make sure everything was OK before I went on that 3000 mile drive, So I knew that the spark plugs were only 5000 miles old. I asked the girl out front if they actually looked at the spark plugs or if they just took it off of a list because my spark plugs are only 5000 miles old. She said they just take it from the list. And then I looked closer at my email where it said that my struts needed to be replaced and under the reasoning, it said "manufacturers recommendation". There were more things that were very expensive to be replaced because it was "manufacturers recommendation" not because anyone looked at my car. If I was not aware, I would've spent a great deal of money, replacing things that were not broken. Customer beware here. Just because they say replace it, it doesn't mean it needs to be replaced. I want a real mechanic that can look at something and see a problem or not and not look at a book and say it's at 75,000 miles replace this! I could've done that by myself . I'm giving two stars because the woman sitting in front of the business was kind and patient and informative. She earned one star for lambs with her smile. I am very disappointed in this Lambs. I won't be back.

The guy in the front was rude and said it takes our labor to change the light bulbs. I went to Walmart; it took only 10 minutes, and the charge was $14.50. This place is ripping people off. Don't go there.

I needed a simple CV axle changed very simple not complex and they did it and it cost me about 1000 bucks. Then when I started driving the car, I was driving about an hour and a half away and all of a sudden I started hearing a scraping noise a tremendous scraping noise coming from the front left part of my vehicle. I took it to a local Midas because I was too far away to go to the place where I had the repair done, and I walked to the bay door as they wiggle around the entire rotor. The mechanic came back and said that the axle nut was not tightened properly, which is a huge issue and concern. This resulted in them over tightening the nut and damaging the wheel bearing. After a lot of research and self-diagnosis ended up taking it into Honda requesting the only replace the wheel bearing and the issue completely resolved. I did not have this issue before. The bigger note here is that Midas will not help each other very much just simple inspections most likely due to liability reasons but just cause you take it to a minus does not mean you're in a good place. Honestly, with all the hassle, it would've just been better to get it done right by the dealership, even though it was slightly more expensive, but I guess you get what you pay for. The people were great and nice at Midas, but the quality of their work is really what speaks about why you'd want to go there in the first place and it's not very good quality work at all. Definitely do not recommend and will never come back to this John.

Just silence...pure, uncomfortable silence. At first, I tried optimism. Then logic. Then the classic move of turning the key again like it might suddenly change its mind. It did not (like a child digging in their heels). At this point, I accepted that my car had entered its "I'm tired and I quit" era. Cue roadside assistance....Alpha Roadside Services and Battery. Thankfully, help arrived before I had time to spiral into Googling "How to survive permanently stranded in your driveway." The roadside assistance technician showed up calm, professional, and completely unfazed by my dramatic retelling of events. Within minutes, they diagnosed the issue, got things sorted out, and brought my car back to life like some kind of automotive wizard. What could have turned into a full‑blown inconvenience (or emotional breakdown) ended up being quick and painless. No lectures, no eye‑rolling...just efficient help and a running vehicle again. The car was not tired, but the battery was a bit weak. While roadside service was free through our insurance plan, we had to pay for battery, which was reasonably priced. Thanks to roadside assistance, my car is no longer staging protests, and I can once again go about my day pretending this never happened. Highly recommend Alpha Roadside Services and Battery... especially if your car enjoys surprise rebellion.
