FOR PARTS ONLY. They're even ripping the state off for taxes if they even report the cash transaction. I don't know who's running this business now days but DON'T GO HERE or expect to be ripped off. If you know when you're being ripped off you may take a chance. Apparently it took them 15 minutes on the alignment machine after waiting 2+ hours. When I showed up it was an easy process to hand over my keys and get my new tires installed. They have a clean waiting area for customers with drink and snack vending machines. The process of them putting the tires on was nice and easy. They even wrapped my spare tire up and put it in the back of my jeep so I can keep it incase from the old tires. Didn't have to lift a finger. The only miniscule thing I can recommend to ask is what air pressure to make the tires especially for larger all terrain tires. I was extremely pleased with my service here. I called in the afternoon on a Friday and said that I had a flat tire, and that I already had a donut put on. I needed to have my flat looked at and for someone to tell me if they could patch it or if I needed a new tire. When I called he said to come and drop off the tire so I didn't have to wait there. I live very close so I dropped it off and within a half hour I got a call stating that my tire was in fact shot, and I had an option to buy a brand new one or a fairly new, but used tired. His opinion was to buy a used tire, so that when I end up buying new tires to put all 4 new ones on at the same time. I appreciated his honesty and gave me a great price. I went right back there to have them install it while I waited for a very short while and I was good to go. Yesterday morning, as I was driving to my office, I got a tire pressure notice pop up on the information center, saying that my rear passenger side tire pressure was down to 10 psi (vs. the 35 it should have been) so I limped the rest of the way at 30 mph. AAA came out and put the space saver on and all was good. I took it over to Tread City Tire & Wheel in North Tonawanda this morning, because my ex always said they were great, and that's where they always took their cars when he was working at an Auto place. They plugged the puncture and the man came into the waiting room and said you're all set, handing me the keys back, and I said OK great, thank you, so how much do I owe you? He said "there's no charge, we like to take care of people, have a great rest of the weekend, and Go Bills!" Wow! They were friendly, courteous, just amazing really! This is the only car related place I've ever been to where I didn't feel disrespected and talked down to in a condescending manner because I'm a woman! They are genuinely awesome people! Whenever I need new tires in the future this is the only place I will ever go! I felt kind of emotional , like a little overwhelmed really to be completely honest. People rarely help people out nowadays, it's usually the opposite, but these guys are simply wonderful! I can not speak highly enough of them. The people working here are friendly, honest, and hardworking. Which is not easy to find in today's world. I was in town visiting family for the holidays when I popped a tire driving over some train tracks in Tonawanda. I brought my BMW to these guys a little worried about whether they could fix it because BMWs have special run-flat tires that aren't all that common to have laying around (and they're expensive $$$). My initial conversation with one of the service guys (can't remember who) promised me that it wouldn't cost more than $50 worst case scenario. I took them at their word and dropped my car off right before closing time. Next morning at 8:00am I got a call back from them. My tire was blown out and irreparable. However, they gave me two options 1) to put all new tires on at a fair price and 2) they did say that they had a used spare tire they could put on my car and it would only be the $50 as promised. I chose the $50 tire as I didn't have the money for all new tires but was impressed that they honored their word, got the job done so quickly, and allowed me to get on with enjoying my holidays with the family. My cousin worked here YEARS ago and my family and i have been relying on Tread City since then. i came here for the first time on my own last Friday on the 18th. i was only charged 520 for all of my tires and installation, killer deal. they ordered the tires for me that and and put them on about 5 hours later, totally fine with me because i did all of my Christmas shopping in between. Installation only took an hour, maybe a little less. Billy and Don both helped me, the guy who put my tires on did a great job! I didnt want to put my old tires in my car because it is a small coupe, they held them for me so i could pick them up the next day. They charge about 60 bucks for a remounting fee for hwen you are ready to get your snow tires off. read more

A family member had recommended I go here for new tires. I called to set up an appointment and get a quote and I spoke to Don first, he was very friendly and extremely helpful. I was not sure of the size tire I needed and he assisted me to figure out which I would need and was able to quote me a price for the tires. I had to get more information and call back so I spoke to another gentleman who was also very friendly, professional and accommodating. They were able to get me in the following day and had the tires in stock already. I am NEVER going back to Tread City Tire and let me tell you why. Last year, I wanted snow tires. Tread City came to my house and installed them. At the end of the season, they took the tires off and told me that one of them had a lump. I checked and it did. I called Tread City about their warranty. They told me it was still under warranty, and I should bring it in. I bring the tire in. They tell me that they can replace it, but they don't have any snow tires, since it was May. They wrote my name and tire size and a post-it and told me they'd call back. 6 months went by and they NEVER called me back. I called their office, and they had no idea who I was. They had no record of me contacting them and no record of a faulty tire. They ask what size the tire is. I tell them. Their response, "Well, that's not right, those aren't tires for a Ford Focus." Are you serious? Then they tell me I need to bring the tire in so they can check the tread. Why didn't they check the tread 6 months ago when I brought the tire in the first time? I bring the tire in and am told that they did, in fact, give me the wrong size tires. I blew my lid. I demanded a replacement set of tires. They would give me a set, but they wanted me to pay an additional $50 since I used the wrong tires for a season. I explain that I'm not paying extra since all I wanted was ONE PAIR OF TIRES. Fast forward a couple months to today. Today, they came at 10 am and put my snow tires on. At 2:40, I'm getting ready to leave for a doctor's appointment, and find that ONE OF THE TIRES IS FLAT. Anyone with a set of ears could tell this set was flat. I could hear the whizzing from 20 feet away. The tire has been replaced, but I certainly had to miss my trip to the doctor. First they lose my name when it comes to a warranty, then I learn they gave me the wrong size tire, THEN they give me a flat tire to replace the wrong tires. Then it just gets worse. They fixed the flat on my tire and I drove to pick up my wife from work. It felt like the wheels were going to fall off the car. It felt like I was driving on the most rickety gravel road ever. I take my car to Dunn Tire on Delaware Rd. They tell me that the tires are the wrong size AGAIN and that the tires are chopped. I ask them what the value would be on those tires, and I am told that they worthless. So they replaced my wrong size tires with tires that are also the wrong size tires, but this set is in such poor condition that they're not even safe to drive on. I left a review for the company on Facebook. I pointed out many of the things I stated above. I also mentioned that I'm disabled (which I am) and I had to miss a doctor's appointment When I called the owner of Tread City (a miserable man named Don) to tell them that the tires were chopped, he screamed at me for "having the nerve to mention" that I'm disabled. He says he does things for local charities and he doesn't want to have his friends at the Variety Club seeing something like that. ARE YOU SERIOUS? I got yelled at for saying I'm disabled? Let me repeat. YELLED AT. FOR SAYING. I'M DISABLED. These people literally have no idea what they are doing and they are horrible human beings. Don't let them waste your time or your money. Get your tires fixed somewhere else. And stay away from Don. read more

Last winter (2014) I bought 4 new all season tires for my Mercedes SUV, 2011, costing over $1,300.00!!! I have nothing but trouble with the valves on them!!! Constant leaking... I have to stop and fill with air... I have called the company several times took it in... they replaced valves and CHARGED ME! It's not the meter that tells me the tires are low(this is fine), it's the VALVES... well I had it, called them for the 5th time and asked them if they could pick up the car and fix this problem, it's really hard for me to keep getting rides to and from this place. They said they would pick it up where I work today... were super and nice and Apologetic... do you think they called or came????? NO.... this place Talks the Talk but just Can't walk.... My boyfriend decided to go with Tread City Tire to get his snow tires put on for this winter. We gave them simple instructions for the rims and tires. We had rims in the trunk and we alerted them that the snow tires should be mounted onto them. Unfortunately they completely forgot, so we politely told them that that was indeed wrong and we alerted the receptionist about this before the tire change. In response we got unprofessionalism and plain out disrespect. They could not follow simple instructions and instead of handling it like a professional business should, they blamed it on my boyfriend. Hard to understand why you're blaming a customer who knows nothing about tires for something that clearly was not his fault. When you pay them, you expect them to do the job correctly and in the case a mistake happens, which they do, the issue is properly fixed. Sadly, that wasn't the case. Everything is made into a huge ordeal and costs way more than any place I've ever been. They said it was going to cost me $50 to put a lug nut on. It cost me $5 to not only buy the lug but but have it installed at the dealership I bought the car.
