My computer was having intermittent connectivity issues just before I was leaving for a conference. After working with Apple support online, reinstalling my OS- the problem persisted. I took it to Clickaway to have them run a diagnostic. The hardware checked out so Luke, the tech working on my macbook pro, suggested a complete clean reinstall. That means wiping out the data and starting over again. The next morning, my machine was ready to go. Luke talked me through how to reinstall my data from the backup drive- and things have gone well since. Very pleased with the service I got. read more

Please do not go here, especially not with an apple product. I came in last week with a macbook pro that needed a new battery and somehow the employee that helped me couldn't get that ordered in a timely matter. I was told it would only take 2 business days. 4 business days later when I called to check on it, none of the other employees could help me in any way for 2 days until the specific employee who helped me returned for a shift. When I finally got a hold of said employee, I was told that the order was still pending with no further explanation. It wasn't until I demanded that this was not an acceptable solution that the associate said he would put in another order to ship next day. The next day I call in the afternoon only to be told "I must have misunderstood, the product is still pending and won't ship until at least next week." At this point I went into the store for a complete refund. How hard is it to order a battery? Then, during my return, the same associate accidentally charged my credit card AGAIN instead of issuing the return before finally issuing a return for the 2 charges. The associate was pleasant enough, but definitely did not seem competent. Even though they show up as a Apple certified repair place, do NOT go there. PS. I called apple support again after this issue only to find out that apple doesn't manufacture that specific battery anymore for my older model. So what was it that I paid $140 for in the first place?? Finally bought a third party battery for $50 free 2 day shipping on amazon. What a joke the whole process was. read more

Commendations to this site of Clickaway and to Parsa Taslimi in particular. I have a PC and my mouse was not working, even after new batteries. Being disabled and in a wheelchair made it awkward to bring everything to them, but I did. As I was unloading from my car, Mr. Taslimi walked out of the door to help. He checked the CPU,keyboard, and mouse and everything worked. Then he let me try. There was no charge, and then he helped load everything back in the car. This review is to share with customers that I was very pleased with the **** district manager Kevin*** I reported an incident regarding my phone on Friday 4:45 pm. He didn't say, I will handle this on Monday but called me back within 3 mins. He heard what I had to say. Followed up with me again on Monday. He ordered me a new phone and within 4 days hand delivered it to me. I can understand how busy his day is as a district manager but he choose to take the time to make sure that he hand delivered the phone. Immediately after using the new phone, I experienced some challenges and I called him back. He was gracious enough to order me a brand new phone, in fact upgraded to a better phone that I have. I learned a lot from him. It's really hard to find people who keep their word, call back, follow up even on Friday evening to make sure customers are satisfied. I took a laptop computer with a bad LCD screen into them. They looked up the cost of the replacement screen and quoted me a price. I accepted it. Imagine my surprise when they called to say it was fixed and that they had found a lower cost screen and my bill was over $100 lower than I had accepted. I took my Mac to ClickAway for warranty service. They did a good job of fixing and returning my machine. They kept in touch about the status of the repair and were responsive to email. They seemed to have a bit of trouble keeping track of the work that was to be done on the machine. They mistakenly performed a data recovery operation which I didn't need. Their bill included fees for the service. When I told them I didn't order it they removed it from the bill without a protest. I'd use them again. And if I HAD needed the recovery service, the price was reasonable and they were successful. read more

The technician listened to my description of how I used my computers and which type of applications I run. We talked about future applications that I might need. The technician helped me select a new laptop and docking station that he felt would give me the best value for my needs. He configured the system and installed my licensed software. Technicians who are working here do not have qualities for knowledge and customer service. I paid for repairs, installation exactly 2 months ago and it broke down again. I called them to figure out whether they offer warranties on parts and labor. They said NO. They will have to charge $150.00 labor on any repairs back to their store. It's ridiculous because they didn't fix the problems but they are trying to charge every single time their customers come back. The 5 stars reviews are all lies ! Do not go to this store ! My MacBook Pro 17'' is 6 years now - and i was about to buy a new laptop. Then my new friend Nick who runs this place gave me a great deal to just upgrade the harddrive and detail my laptop. As someone who works in the computer industry and normally does all my own computer maintenance, I've always had a pretty low opinion of repair services like this. So, it was with a large amount of skepticism that I ventured into ClickAway to sort out my son's laptop that had become completely unresponsive. I was met by Leo. Very personable chap. Must be related to C3PO though, as he immediately understood the beeping noises that the laptop was making as meaning "bad memory". From there is was a 5 minute diagnosis of which module was bad, replacing it and verifying that everything was back in a normal working situation. Excellent service. Knowledgeable staff. We went to the store to get our Nexus 7 fixed for charging issues. Leo listened to our issue and explained what are the potential issues and how some might make sense, depending on the cause. He then carefully made the USB port a little more snug and gave us a cable. Everything was done very quickly and when I asked how much do we owe them, he said nothing. I have been going to Click Away for all my Mac issues. One of my first visits was for an old Mac Pro, and instead of charging me an enormous fee, they made me an appointment at the genius bar. Absolute WORST service I've ever experienced! They made me feel special by offering to scan my dead HDD if I brought it in the 15 mins before closing. I rush across town, drop it off, and John tells me, "I'll call you tomorrow noon and let you know what we find." I go home in a good mood. Noon the next day comes and goes, and at 4pm I call and am told, "We are very busy and I didn't get it on the machine today. We'll have an answer for you tomorrow and I'll call you as soon as we read it." I reluctantly agree to the 24 hour delay. 4pm the next day, I have to call again to be told that it is a hard drive failure and not software. "Would you like us to send it to the Clean Room for analysis?" I agree and they tell me that it will be sent over and they will call me Friday with an update. Friday comes and no update, so I again call at 4pm to be told, "It will cost $1200 to recover your data." I tell them that I will do without it. "If I really work with your data I can probably do it for $1000!" I state, "No, it's still too much." To which they reply, "Okay, we'll have your drive back in the shop on Monday for you to pickup." Monday, I call to get it and they tell me it isn't back, it'll be back tomorrow. Tuesday afternoon, I again call and they tell me, "Your data recovery was unsuccessful so we'll have your drive tomorrow." I informed them that I didn't authorize any data recovery and my drive had better be in the same state that it was when I dropped it off. They say, "Oh, that's right. We forgot to get it. It'll be here Wednesday." So again, another 24 hour delay! Wednesday they tell me that the driver had a tire blow out and it is in a box at his house and he forgot to bring it. Finally Thursday, I am told that my drive is back and they want $49 for the transportation of the drive from their facility to the clean room (and I would assume to the worker's house and wherever else his vehicle went with my personal data.). I reluctantly agreed to pay the fee since I needed my data as I found someone that would extract the data for me without all the hassle and unprofessional behavior. If you don't know what you're doing with my hard drive, don't make it up, tell me you don't know! I cannot in good conscience ever recommend this facility to anyone for any service. I know that I will not return. Be careful where you take your personal data drives; I have no idea how many people actually had their hands on this when it went to the employee's house in a box. read more

We came in for both my laptop and my boyfriend's malfunctioned partitioned drive, where it used to have 2 (C and F), but the F mysteriously disappeared. As for my laptop, well, fragile things don't like me very much so this was the third time dropping a laptop. Oops? Anyway, we came in bright and early in order to get years of documents and pictures restored and was greeted with a smile. Of course, we could care less if the person was the happiest guy on Earth, we just wanted our beloved technologies to work. Sure enough, we received regular updates and overall very satisfied with their expertise. I was able to upgrade my ROM from 4 to 8 Gig and replaced my hard drive with secure protection, meaning *knock on wood* if I drop my laptop, it would be 10X less likely to break. The total for me with Groupon was $300, eh, I couldn't find a better deal elsewhere. In the end, I happily received my laptop in almost perfect condition (I had to reinstall a few drivers to fit my needs) and my boyfriend got his files recovered. :D My concluding sentence for this place: DO IT. read more

These guys burned my smartphone's screen! Brought them my google pixel which had a different issue and after diagnostic was told they cannot repair it. Screen had a visible black spot after their "diagnostic". Went to an authorized google repair shop afterwards and was told that screen needs replacement now because Clickaway technician didn't know what he was doing and fried it! read more

Recently, Apple Customer Service recommended that I try ClickAway for quicker turnaround time when the SuperDrive failed on my MacBook Pro. I took it there. Tyler noticed that I was having to keep a mouse plugged in because my TrackPad would get stuck in "mouse down" mode if I didn't. Apple Customer Service was insisting that this was a software application problem and asking that I uninstall all my applications to try to diagnose which one was causing the problem. In the course of diagnosing the SuperDrive problem, Apple had had me remove and put in the battery, at which point I noticed that the battery had warped and was no longer fitting well in the compartment, which was a known cause of the TrackPad problem. ClickAway happily and promptly replaced both my optical drive and my battery under AppleCare warranty, and both problems were promptly solved. Tyler and Nick were patient and helpful by the way! Get your AppleCare customer service at ClickAway for prompt repairs without Apple Customer Service asking you to try 47 things first to keep their claims rate low!!! read more

I took an older Mac laptop in to diagnose a few problems, and to ask a few use questions. They did a fine job determining a battery and charger problem, but were very vague about a "possible expensive motherboard problem." They said they would do software diagnostics, but didn't note any tests or results on the "report" they gave to me when I picked up (there was no editing of the notes sections done at all). When I tried to use the computer I found that it would not successfully load internet pages, whereas there was no problem with that before I took it in. When I called, nobody was able to help - they said the technician (who wasn't around) would call, but I'm still waiting for that to happen. Maybe they do OK with PCs, but I don't plan to bring my Mac to them again. read more

I dropped off my printer to have Nick check it out ( i think that's his name at least) he went through the machine and told me what was wrong with it. The estimate was free and although the cost was a bit high for such an old machine he didn't try to up-sell me or charge me for any of his services. Although, I am a bit ashamed I took up so much of his time. Regardless that my pockets were strapped for cash, he still took the time to go through my options and suggestions as to which printers were a better bang for the buck when it came to ink prices vs serviceability. Here I am, thinking the cheapest machines were the bang for my buck but he suggested some mid level and higher end printer for my automotive business that would more than likely outlast the life of my computers with some examples of what typical faults and repair costs were. TRAVIS IS THE BEST!! walked into the Sunnyvale location on a dreary Thursday to get my mom's disfigured laptop (which I was borrowing) back in shape. Expecting it to be several hundreds of dollars to replace a few keyboard buttons that had fallen off, I only paid $49 to get them back in there thanks to Travis who made everything clear, simple and inexpensive. My old external hard drive's USB came out. It needed to be soldered. First I tried myself, but was unable to. I searched on yelp and a lot of option popped up. I messed few of them explaining the problem. Only Lani from ClickAway computer repair replied within 6 hours. She promptly asked for my contact details so that the technician can contact us. After messing my number, within 1 hour, Kevin called me up from the Campbell office. He asked my to drop by to their office for the fix. Upon knowing that I stay in sunnyvale, he led me to their Sunnyvale office. He also promptly called up the sunnyvale office and asked me to meet Leo. Leo saw my hard drive and suggested me to buy a new case, but then he gave me an old connector from other hard drive. It worked as a charm. He gave this to me for free and even insisting to take money, he said to give this to someone who needs it. Like spreading the Happiness. It was very nice of him. My hard drive had very old and important pictures. I was able to copy then to the new drive. Thanks a lot Leo, Kevin and Lani!!! You guys rock. read more

We have been using ClickAway for several years to service the our business and personal computers. They have always done a great job. Recently my daughter dropped her laptop and damaged the hard drive. We worked with Nick to retrieve years worth her personal information and photos. We needed her new IPHONE and retrieved data for a Christmas present in a hurry. Nick brought the phone and disc drive all the way to our home in Morgan Hill on Christmas Eve!. He even wrapped it with Xmas paper in case my daughter might see it on the porch when she arrived from college. You certainly don't see service like that anymore. NICK YOU ARE THE BEST. Went there again to get a new line on my plan (Verizon). Verizon recently came out with their new simplified plans. Getting the new line meant a new plan. Well I won't gush like my first update, but their service was the same - excellent. Seriously, why go to a Verizon store. There was a little snafu on adding the line which they fixed immediately the next day and called me back to confirm the fix. I found this place randomly on line to replace my moms iphone5 battery. She's disabled so cannot drive. Faruk made arrangements to have her phone picked up. Since her phone was too much to repair from internal damage, a couple days later he offered her another refurbished iPhone5 for a very cheap price, also gave her back her old phone. He even hooked the new one up for her so she could use it right away and delivered it to her personally. I couldn't be more happy with their services.
