When we stepped inside, I could tell that this was a true local hangout spot that has been in the neighborhood for many years. The menu is very limited and consists of burgers, steak, and some sandwiches. We all ordered the cheesesteak, which was highly recommended by our server. We were told the meat was a real cut of steak, rather than the typical shaved meat you usually get on a cheesesteak. We also got an order of fries to split. After ordering, we realized this dive bar was a one-person operation-the bartender was also the cook and the server! She prepared our food on a tiny stove situated right next to the bar, so we were able to see the entire process. We all agreed that the cheesesteaks were so tender and delicious. There's a choice of table, booth, or bar to sit and I chose the booth as I usually do. The food menu is pretty decent and filled with enough options. I chose the Mozzarella sticks for the table and the 'Lunch Money Burger' for myself. The sticks were pretty big, but tasted good. The burger was okay, but I can't say it was the best I've ever had. The fries had a unique taste to them and were quite good. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. Parking is plentiful as this does share the space with several other businesses since it's located in a mall. Overall, this is a nice place that I'd have come to whether or not it was featured in the show. Being on the show is what got me to notice this place and now that I know it's here, if I'm in the area again I would surely come back.

The tenders were massive, really crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I preferred the Honey BBQ sauce over the Boom Boom sauce since I'm not a huge fan of spice. We also tried the cheeseburger sliders and the pulled pork sliders. The pulled pork sliders were by far my favorite dish. The slider buns were soft and fresh, the BBQ sauce was the perfect amount of sweetness, and the pork was very tender. The owner Skip is a racist prick who constantly yells about how much he hates rap and only enforces certain 'rules' against non-white people. The bathroom is absolutely disgusting. There is black mold all over it. There is black mold all over the ceiling of the entire bar which is collapsing. The bar and kitchen would cause Jon Taffer to drop dead on the spot. If you sit on the rail you can smell the mold and mildew coming off of the ice box that hasn't been cleaned in ages. Skip overcooks everything he serves because it's all going bad. If you like burned wings that taste like 3 week old fryer oil and decaying chicken you will love this place. this is seriously the most disgusting bar I have ever set foot in. It would never pass health inspections if he wasn't paying off someone in City Hall. read more

I've heard about this bar from a few friends who grew up in the area. I decided to check it out one week day night when I had nothing to do. I walked in & it was kinda dead & there was weird music playing but I didn't wanna write the bar off just yet. There was a hippy looking young Jim Morrison guy working behind the bar. I ordered a vodka & club, when I received my drink it looked like someone took a gulp of it, it wasn't filled. Again I didn't wanna write off the bar yet. I ordered a few more drinks throughout the night & each one appeared like he drank some before handing it to me. I didn't understand why not fill the glass if I'm paying for it. To be honest the place isn't for everyone but I like it. I been coming here for a while. Just for the drinks though. I tried the wings once but I really didnt like them. I saw the food other customers got but and to be honest it looked worse than plastic. BUT the vibe is good. It feels like home. Oh yea GUYS*** you would get more business if you clean that bathroom. The bartenders are nice, which is a shame... because this is probably one of the dirtiest bars I've ever seen. The bathrooms are disgusting, and the beer is piss warm. Do not go here. The owner of the bar, skip, is a complete prick. He plays favorites with locals and is not friendly to those he didn't know. Our friends came from out of town one night to visit us and skip wouldn't let them in because it was "at capacity" , yet he proceeded to let in other groups of his friends. The decor is stunning--definitely has an upscale, Instagram-worthy vibe with a modern lounge feel. We might've come a little early because the place was quiet when we arrived, but that worked in our favor as we got to settle in comfortably and explore the menu. Drinks were a mixed experience. We tried the margarita flight, which included coconut, passion fruit, and strawberry. The coconut and passion fruit margaritas were absolutely delicious--fresh, balanced, and memorable. The strawberry, however, was a big miss--tasted like kid's medicine and no one at the table could finish it. We also ordered a drink called something like Chicola--it had ginger ale, lime juice, and some type of liquor, and unfortunately, it was another one we couldn't get through. The flavors just didn't mix well, and everyone at the table agreed it was a no for us. On the flip side, the Perfect Mule with a strawberry twist, the Henny Mojito, and a bold and fun drink called No Sheets were much better received. One friend had the larger ceviche bowl paired with a mojito and already asked to come back just for that combo. Even the kid's arroz chaufa with chicken impressed us, with a big enough portion for leftovers. If there's one thing that fell flat, it was the atmosphere--at least early in the evening. When we arrived, the music playing sounded like retro video game tunes, but thankfully it transitioned into upbeat Spanish hits, including some great bachata that gave the space some energy. All in all, despite a few drink misses and a quiet start, this spot is a gem.
