Cliff's has become one of my favorite burger joints. I can't stuff the food in my mouth fast enough! It's THAT good. It got to the point where I had lunch there every day for about 3 weeks. I even sat in the parking lot waiting for them to open! Sunday's were hard since they're closed that day :( An intervention was the only thing that saved me. The manager is very friendly and personable. He knows me by name now! I typically call in and order or place an order through the EatStreets app so i can earn coupons. The food is cooked fresh and tastes amazing, although I am not a huge fan of the handcut fries...but if handcut fries are your thing, then you'd probably enjoy them. I've been here multiple times and burgers have always been fresh and good quality, even when ordered through a delivery app. I paid 23 bucks for both, which I don't mind for a good burger...But something was definitely off yesterday, the quality and texture of the meat patty was horrible and inedible, I gave it to my dog! The patty definitely looked and tasted like a frozen Sysco type patty, no seasoning whatsoever, and despite the fact that I requested it well done it was undercooked. I understand rising food costs, but don't cheat your consumer and give subpar ingredients for the same high quality ingredient price. When I pulled up I was surprised to not to see Cliff's in a stand alone building. I must say, I never thought that I would find a Good Burger joint in a store front. Oh boy but I did. The atmosphere was perfect for family and friends to hang out and eat s good burger. From the the pictures on the walls to the ole school round tables to the high counter stools- it was pacs that could eat, converse with a good friend and relax. The service was great after I ordered my burger (Bacon Burger with fries and o rings) and while I was outside on the patio talking, my ordered was ready and delivered. But when they seen me talking they took the order back to the kitchen to keep it hot for me. The bun was large, which concerned me. Because I did not want all bun and no burger. But when I bit into my burger it was juicy and rather larger in my hands than I thought by pictures. It was so good and juicy that I was offered a lot of napkins. I just did not like this place, at all. It seems like a nice family-owned place so I really wanted to like it, but honestly the food was terrible. The burger was awfully bland and dry, no seasoning at all, on a soft diner type bread. The fries are the same, just straight cut, no seasoning, not even salt. I was a regular when I lived in Houston, then have made it a required stop every time I come back to visit. Let me count what's great about this place: 1) The owners! Mike and Tammy are the greatest. Haven't lived in Houston in 8 years, and hadn't been in 4 years before recent trip... he still remembered me and greeted me like family! Although he did forget my usual (he used to be able to be able to just know when I walked in and start the grill cooking my burger) 2) the BURGERS! My go to is a bacon cheeseburger. Lettuce and tomato are always fresh and crisp. The patty always perfectly cooked to be juicy and delicious. The bacon always crispy and heavenly bacon tasting. Get it with some classic yellow mustard and BBQ sauce, you won't regret. 3) Fries... delicious, hot and salty, just like they're meant to be. 4) Atmosphere... cool little spot and combined with how friendly the owners are, it always felt like home. If I know I'm dying, I will definitely put this place on my last meal list (and continue to beg Mike to put my name on a burger...) 10/10 would recommend. Go check it out! read more

My food didn't take long to prepare and the people there were very friendly. My burger was HUGE and meaty. I had plenty of fries and they were very generous with the ketchup. For a huge burger, with fries, and a drink, my total came out to be about $10. Great price! I love supporting local businesses and you get a lot for your money here. The Murphy burger is definitely the one to get! That's what I ordered while my husband got the bacon cheeseburger. I tried his, and it was good, but I preferred mine. It's juicy! I like the atmosphere here too, very cozy and reminiscent of the good ol' days. The staff is nice and they've got a good menu for kiddos too! The tator-tots and fries tasted as though they were cooked in old grease. The food was way over priced and was above what was shown on the wall. A 16 ounce styrofoam cup of tea was over $4. Great great burger! I was visiting the pub next door and decided to give Cliffs a try. It was such and cute cozy spot inside I was surprised in the space. When I walked in I was greeted by staff with warm and welcoming smiles. I can't remember his name but he told me he had been work there I believe 15 years. I'm thinking wow such dedication. Anyway my friend was on the way to join me so I ordered for us both. He had the Turkey Burger with homemade fries, and I had the Brisket Burger with onion rings. My friend had been before and stated it was so good so he was pleased. I loved my burger it was moist. Flavored, and the perfect size. My onion rings were hugh. Lol.
