Burgers are so good The kind you crave. The service is definitely welcoming! And the ambiance is warm! Definitely a sports bar atmosphere! Love it here!!!

Yummy burgers and fries. Large portions. Horrible parking. Cute indoor/outdoor spot. Didn't get to try the shakes but they looked good. The service was quick and friendly.

After a night of dancing, a friend and I decided to grab some food at the Burger Joint! The best thing about this place, is that it stays open till 4a, which is nice! The restaurant has an inside seating area and a huge outside seating area with fans...nice for the hot weather. They have a plethora of different burgers and fries to choose from, and I decided to order the Classic Burger with hand cut fries. It was about a ten minute wait, but the burger came out fresh and the fries were hot! I would definitely recommend for a late night meal after dancing!

Great burgers and a nice place to grab food after visiting the surrounding shops. I ordered the smoke stack burger which was delicious and full of pulled pork. It didn't have that much mac and cheese on it, however it was still tasty. You have to order fries/onion rings separately which adds to the cost but overall a good meal. Ketchup/mayo/mustard dispensers were full and easy to dispense.

Amazing Texas burger and a great price too! Best burger I have had in Texas so far. Huge for the price, I will be coming back here for sure.

There isn't much to say about this place. I love the location. The Burger Joint is located in a cool side of town and seems to be a really cool hang be it with friend, loved ones, or just to take it the views or watch a game by yourself. As far as the food is concerned, I had a BBQ burger, and while it was stacked tall, I only managed to eat half of it, like a good boy . Had a side of Queso fries and they were MEH. The food was good, I wasn't blown away though. I might come back to try a shake.

A cool burger spot with a lot of outdoor seating. The service is great and everyone is really friendly and helpful. I haven't been here for more than a week and have been here twice. There is some parking in front of the restaurant and in the parking garage around the corner. They have a lot of fans for when it gets hot and a good shake selection. I am sure I will be stopping by there sometime soon.

    My order number

The service, making sure the customer receives there order. I ordered the hotdog and the peaches and cream shake. I wait 10minutes for hot dog with onions and mustard. I waited additional 15 minutes after I ate my hotdog to get my shake because I ask for a manger. The only thing he could say was I'm sorry about that! So I guess the meal and drink don't come together. I paid $17.30. So I probably will never go back to that burger joint, I constantly keep giving them chances and they disappoint me every time. The time is 10:30 was order number #87 on 08/22/2026. Every body that visited me I always bring them there well that's over. The service sucks and I watch cashier fix everyone shake that came after me. She nevertheless brought me mines.

My boyfriend and I came here while we were on vacation in Texas and we absolutely loved it. The food was AMAZING, we even debated coming back a second day. The service was also flawless, the staff was very nice and very very friendly and helpful. We also loved the seating area outside and had a blast. If we are ever back in Texas we will be stopping in.

Good quick stop for a burger. Fast service and plenty of outdoor seating for a group.

Burger Joint is a solid burger spot, nothing crazy but fairly consistent and the burger is cooked well. The Montrose location has seating outdoors; there is shade but it's fairly hot in the summer. Parking is a pain; their parking lot is tiny and awkwardly shaped so good luck if you have a larger car. Service is minimal / none, you order up front and get your food. The burger is cooked well, has a decent bun and toppings. The sides are mostly fried but pair nicely with the Americana of a meal. The fries are crispy with a nice texture and the chili cheese fries are also solid. No complaints on the food.

I've been coming here for a while now. It's a nice outdoor spot where you can bring your dogs, which is pretty cool. They'll even provide little bowels of water for them. The food? A little pricey but still hits. The burgers are huge so what you paid for is worth the price. It's really good and they have many burger/ menu options. My boyfriend and I, both got milkshakes and that was very yummy! I had salted caramel shake! Yum! The staff are great and very helpful.

    Yes

Is the veggie burger here vegan? I've heard that it's not so I wanted to make sure it didn't contain egg to bring the ingredients together. Thanks!

They do have a vegan option! It might be new, but I went Sep. 6th 2019 and they have the impossible burger with vegan mayo and vegan cheese. It was really tasty.

Is this a dog friendly place?

Yes. They even sell homemade dog treats and puppy shakes! If you are by yourself, someone will come outside and take your order so you don't have to leave your pup alone outside. Also- dog water bowls and water station outside

My partner wanted to grab lunch here so we tried for the first time this place. We got a simple sandwich and elote which the staff said it should take 15-20 mins. Switching her words back and forth and not believing what we had said. I asked how did we grab our stuff if I still have the device to notify when our food is ready. - Third she completely stopped talking to us and went to go help at other customers. I told her we want our money back and she said, "well I'm not going to refund for the drinks you had". Ma'am, that's not how you run a business. Just admit you messed up and take ownership of your mistakes to help a customer out. - Fourth she mentioned that other tickets have been lost today and other foods have been stolen before. This just shows how disorganized this placed is. We were able to ask for our money back but it was a battle about it. Before their recent expansions to Austin, it all began here in Rice Village exactly 15 years ago. The vibes are contemporary and casual, with the kind of space that fits for just about any scenario. Whether it's a solo meal, a lunch date, or a group led affair, the experience is almost always an excellent one. Start by ordering at the counter and find a seat where the food will brought directly to the table. So much of their variety caters to all sorts of dietary restrictions from vegan to gluten free to nut free. Their spicy crispy brussels sprouts ($10) are a nice starter, as is the squash "onion" rings ($12). The local power bowl ($16) is a classic and I've always enjoyed the brown rice and quinoa combo. Their chicken "posolé" is solid, and I love the large hominy bits along with the clear but green tint of a broth. The chicken shawarma bowl ($20) is an interesting mix that includes pickled beets and strawberries, along with their market cheddar burger ($17) and fabulous twice cooked fries. The carrot cupcake is strangely addicting, and I think their gluten free brownie is a bit of a sleeper. Some of their items didn't jive with me previously, such as an underwhelming cashew queso ($9), a semi-laughable Vietnamese steak bowl ($22), and their semi-gringo version of a banh mi ($15). It's not that these items are bad per se, but they definitely don't live up to the same standard that I feel their other dishes do best. Where they hit the biggest home run is their customer service. Everyone working behind the counter does their best to deliver and they almost always do by staying on top of refills, cleanups, and customer greets. I've always enjoyed my experiences here and look forward to every visit.

This is the one and only location here and a great stop for all kinds of sandwiches. Their menu includes innovative offerings and iconic flavors, essentially the best of both worlds. If you're craving a classic or simple sandwich, you can get that. However, if you're looking for something special or out of this world, you can also get it. Ike's specializes in sandwiches with their Dutch Crunch bread and Dirty Sauce, both unique in its own way. Whether you're a meat lover, vegetarian, vegan, or on a gluten-free diet, their menu has it all. I personally am not a super fan of the Dutch Crunch bread since I find it a bit too harsh on the palate and somewhat dry, but love the Dirty Sauce (make it extra or on the side). I enjoy subbing the Dutch Crunch with either French or Sourdough. With over 300 unique sandwiches on the menu, there's a sandwich for everyone. My favorites have been the Menage A Trois (halal chicken, honey mustard, BBQ Sauce, real honey, pepper jack, swiss, cheddar), Ike's Reuben (pastrami, mack Sauce, purple slaw, gouda), Joker (all beef meatballs, fried zucchini, Ike's red pesto, ranch), and Grant Pinkerton, a Houston exclusive (Pinkerton Brisket, pastrami, BBQ aioli, provolone). All of my sandwiches have been stuffed and tasty, worth it! However, I find some menu items to be subpar in quality and flavor (chicken strips). The service is typically quick, efficient, and friendly. There are more than a handful of tables inside and some out on the patio. Off the Restaurant Weeks menu we ordered the Loaded Hash Browns in the Style of Potato Skins and the Trio Deviled Egg Trio for starters. The loaded hash browns were crispy, golden, and covered with a healthy amount of toppings especially the cheesy queso. The deviled eggs were just okay for me. They weren't your typical deviled eggs the filling was more of a mustard forward potato salad mixture. The three toppings on deviled eggs were very distinct from one another and each had its own flavor. For the main dishes we ordered the Peach Cobbler French Toast and the Breakfast Sandwich. The French toast was a little underwhelming. It wasn't made with the traditional thick cut bread and was more on the thinner side. It was loaded with toppings, but honestly the toppings overpowered the bread itself. Now the BREAKFAST SANDWICH was AMAZING!! I honestly wished I had ordered another one. I'm usually not a fan of English muffins, but the way this sandwich was made and assembled was PERFECT. From the toasted English muffin to the sausage patty, crispy hash brown, fried egg, tomato, and cheese!!!Every bite was so good! If they bring this sandwich back to the menu it is a MUST TRY! From the regular menu we also tried the Fried Chicken Crunch Wrap Supreme. It was okay. The chicken was hot and fresh, and even the dipping sauce was good. However, the Doritos were soggy, and for me, there was way too much cabbage in the inside. Overall, it was just okay. The Treasure Chest Frozen Flight is an absolute must. Not only are the drinks delicious, but they come with a cute little sparkler, which makes the whole experience a little celebration. The Saturn was my favorite. And of course, living in Houston, we all know Sunday = Sunday Funday! So yes, it was packed inside. They did have plenty of seating outside. Winnie's is seat yourself and order at the bar, and there was plenty of room to either share tables or stand around and wait for a party to finish so you could grab a seat. Overall, if you haven't been to Winnie's yet, you should definitely check it out! The breakfast sandwich alone is worth the visit if it makes its way back onto the menu.

Took a friend of mine for her bday brunch and wanted to check out Winnie's because she likes…read moresouthern food, and it was close by. Parking can be confusing if you aren't familiar with downtown because it's off Main St. There is a connected parking garage which you have to pay for; I think it was around $10, not sure if it can be validated because I didn't ask. When we came, it was super lively; they had a DJ playing and it was definitely vibey and a great place to start your Sunday Funday. The setup is: you pay, they give you a number, and bring your food to the table. The seating is open and they have a large patio area as well. We were there for HRW brunch which was 25 for 2 courses, but the menu had me excited as a seafood lover. I saw oysters and so many other foods I love to come back and try. I got the Trio of Deviled Eggs and my friend went with hash brown potato skins. For our main we had the NOLA BBQ Shrimp and Grits. She also got the Treasure Chest Frozen Flight, which comes with all four of the frozens they offer in a Treasure Chest with Sparklers which was perfect for her bday. Everyone was friendly; it was busy, but despite that a really good experience and I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.
