    Chile Cheese Queso Philly Cheeseburger

Stopped on here for a birthday dinner for the gf and was pleasantly surprised. I have had Pappas Burger previously via pickup and it was fairly good, but in person is so much better. The atmosphere is like a cozy older burger joint with decent music and TVs on for entertainment. Staff was super friendly and helpful with menu. The freshness of all the food and ingredients were great. The queso and chips were great!! I ate majority of them prior to getting my food and finished after eating my meal as well. The Nashville hot sandwich could be a bit spicier and is about a 5/10 on the spice scale. The one thing I did not like in the meal was the slaw. Not enough sauce, way too crunchy, feels like just eating cut up cabbage. The fries and ranch were also delicious. Gf ordered the Philly Cheesesteak burger and was her second time, and same thing, a great burger in person. She was able to swap for sweet potato fries as well and enjoyed the whole meal. For her birthday the waiter was able to offer a free dessert and she choose the handspun vanilla shake which was delicious. Overall, outside of the coleslaw, amazing experience and will definitely go back to Pappas Burger.

Came here after our cruise, my partner has been here but not me and the kids. Get here early, because it gets really packed in there. You order at the front and they sit you and they drop off the food. My burger was delicious. I got buffalo sauce on the side and omg so good with fries. The kids got strawberry and vanilla milkshake and both said it was tasty. The service was amazing and you pay at the end after your done eating. Overall, this place is great. I would recommend this place.

This has been our go to spot for premium burgers for years! I can't believe it's been seven years since I've done a review but nothing's changed. The service is still top-notch and they're serving some of the best burgers in town. These are the best burgers in town bottom line.! I did the review today because our waitress Zan and the new manager Yvanna did an outstanding job today! The place was extremely packed but damn doing such a great job we were able to get sat down and our food came out quickly. I've never seen this pack. They did such an amazing job, the entire staff. This is what prompted me to write the review. Everyone knows Pappas burger has the best burgers in town. Bottom line. But I wanted to highlight the customer service today. Zan and the manger Yvanna are simply top notch! Great food and great customer service!

Came here with my family while my brother was home honestly the food was amazing and so filling. The huge portions was amazing and the Oreo milkshake was to die for. With the atmosphere being very old school diner which was really nice. The only thing bad I can really say is they messed up my brothers order but they fixed it immediately and we're super sweet about it.

Always great burgers. I hadn't been there in years but no complaints. Service was a bit slow but the burgers and sweet potato fries were tasty. It was very busy for lunch. Now you order in front, grab Seat and they confirm your order at the table, kind of felt like double ordering, but I was there for the food! It was very loud and had TVs playing sports, kind of a very easy going vibe.

We love Pappas Burgers! This is by far one of the best burgers you will find in Houston! (And that's saying ALOT!) It's my husbands favorite food, and this is his favorite place for a burger. We went for his birthday recently and they did not disappoint. It's a cool Diner type vibe with a relaxed feel! It is counter service, but they are at your beck and call every minute. A server is in charge of your table when you are seated. The chips and queso are so delicious as well as the fried pickles too! If you're in the mood for this type of food, don't look any further! Excellent place!

DELICIOUS. IF YOU WANT A QUALITY BURGER PLEASE GO HERE!!! Now the cheeseburger was $17.95 but it was huge and very good. The fries were cooked perfectly and we had a good time here

    Frito Pie Burger!

Really cool spot! Was very hungry after my workout & stumbled upon this gem! Drea my server was amazing! She recommended the Frito Pie Burger & Wings! They did not disappoint. I like spicy - so she suggested addding grilled fresh jalapeños, it was the perfect touch. Ivy the manager stopped by & made sure I was good. The banana pudding milkshake was the cherry on top. 10/10 - You need to try this place!

Stopped in for a nice lunch with some of my team from culinary school. The ambience and vibes were amazing along with everything being made fresh to order. Service was great and they did an amazing job making sure that our entire group was served with great professionalism and in a timely manner. Definitely will be visiting again.

    Lucy but not Juicy burger

I have been to Matt's Grill in Minneapolis and tried their Jucy Lucy, so when I read Pappa's Burgers had a similar one called their Lucy Juicy, even reported to be the best on their menu (...packed with melty American cheese, they say), I thought it worth a try. With the usual Pappas' excellence I felt I couldn't go wrong even though it is a bit pricey. And just about everything was top notch: fries/onion ring sides, generous, well cooked and fresh; large burger, well cooked; large toasted challah bun and superb service. They even add an egg (which I would omit). However, not so fast... Expecting something like Matt's JL, oozing with cheese that even squirted out making a mess. (read the story of how the JL it got its name). Another lady at our table in Matt's had an even worse experience and had to go clean her shirt. My Pappas LJ virtually had no cheese as seen in the attached picture. I had to exert significant effort to squeeze just a little for the shot. The burger was a disappointment. If you want a real JL or LJ as Pappas calls theirs, don't go here. Three stars for the overall Pappas excellence of the ambience, plate and service. Otherwise, I am afraid Pappas LJ is just another gimmicky imitation of the real thing as I have seen before. Perhaps Pappas LJ's are Lucy but they sure aren't Juicy. Hoping this was just a fluke I would be willing to try again if there was some assurance of abundant cheese. Kingwood Bob

I had opted for a beef burger with a side of chili cheese tater tots to share. The burger is quite large and filled generously with whatever add-ins you check off so it was very filling for me. I went with two 2oz patties, but considering the size, I'd opt for a single 2 oz patty if I go back. For my burger I also added scallion aioli which didn't have a strong green onion flavor but was still nice and added creaminess to the burger overall. The tater tots were super crispy, and the chili cheese topping was nice. I had gone shortly after they opened and it wasn't super busy but it started to quickly fill up around 11:30-12. The basic burger is $12, and anything you want to add or replace is extra. Now that's including the basic sauce, which I thought would be an additional homemade sauce if I needed. Again, I am learning. I ordered grilled chicken, but at the counter, a very nice person, Eric, told me they were out of grilled chicken and had fried chicken available. I guess so, since I spend some time. I don't want to wait any longer. I also ordered homemade lemonade, which came with lots of ice. I requested that some ice be removed. I also added chard jalapenos, which were tasteless and slightly burned, so they lost their flavor. The food pick-up area was separate, and the guy who gave you a food tray could have been friendlier and said thank you. Oh well, my burger was a piece of chicken with lettuce and onion. It was ok but very dry inside. So make sure you order sauce or anything for your burger, and pay for it. When I got there, the dining hall was empty. I like this place, but plz if you're going there for the first time, read the menu carefully and place your order. Service could be friendlier, and the dining hall was clean.

I went with the Double Good Burger at Johnny Good Burger, and honestly... it was surprisingly good. Perfectly smashed patties with those crispy edges, juicy inside, and well-balanced flavors that didn't feel overcomplicated. Sometimes simple just works--and this definitely did. The fries deserve their own shoutout: extra crispy, hot, and downright addictive. No soggy sadness here. I kept telling myself "just one more" until the tray was mysteriously empty. All in all, a very satisfying burger experience. If you're in the mood for a legit smash burger and happen to be wandering POST Houston, this one's absolutely worth stopping for.

There were no other customers at the time, but that's to be expected for a slow Monday. The menu is quite simple with just 4 different entrees, 3 different ways to order fries, and a few soft drink options in a cold case. Everything here is a la carte but there is a combo option where you can save about $3 off the regular menu pricing. I chose the "Double Good" and added a patty for $3 more figuring the patties are most likely very thin. The burger comes with lettuce, onion tomato, pickles and special sauce. I subbed the American for Swiss, but the Swiss ended up being a Swiss-American blend, so it tasted mostly like American cheese which I hate. I keep having bad luck with Swiss lately. The patty is about 1/4 lb and tastes similar to a home cooked burger. I ended up setting the burger down and just eating the patty with a fork since I didn't like the taste of the cheese, sauce, or the entire burger as a whole after a handful of bites. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried it but this is not a burger I would come back for, especially at this price point.

Clutch City Grill sits next to Burger Chan (the most recent title holder of best burger for my son) but this Sunday, they were not open so we tried the one we didn't try last time--CCG. And let me just say that this place tucked away inside a collective indoor food concession aka The Conservatory Galleria, has every right to boldly don the clutch city burger title. Inside this perfectly grilled almost Hawaiian role type hint of sweet homemade bun is a masterclass of burger perfection, made right in front of you and to your liking based on your selections from the order tap screens. While, waiting, I looked at everything I didn't order as it was being served and I'm almost certain that anything you order at CCG is delicious. Presentation is superb because others were sitting with large selections in front of them that caused me a bit of buyers remorse--I couldn't decide. The vibe is chill enough to talk to the grill master while my son was figuring out his massive burger order--he randomly had a hash brown added to a patty melt. And ordered something to take home or in case one order wasn't enough for the teen appetite. But the food is massive. I cannot stress that enough. Portions of everything there are beyond generous from what we saw and this is the kind of place where there's delivery guys picking up, people working on their laptops and the average joe grabbing takeout after work as well as families having dinner but not crowded. We sat and reflected on a great shopping day in a chill environment and reminisced on the old days of Galleria area last minute back to school night before/we should do this more type of memories in the making. The take something to go plus my own leftover (cutting the burger in half is an open from the order touch screen) and it passed the ultimate test of being really good cold the next day. This place begs the question--where is everybody? I can't be the only one who knows about it. But also was inviting enough to silently confirm that I think we've found our place.
