We tried a number of slices--broccoli pizza, pepperoni and sausage pizza, and buffalo chicken pizza, along with a Philly cheese steak sandwich. No idea how the food was. They opened at 1215pm when I ordered at 11am... So I waited until they opened thinking the pizza would be at least marked as in progress.... no activity. I call them up at 1220pm when I see nothing still and ask if the machine is on to pick up the orders since no one accepted it. They said "yeah, the driver's on the way" I hear nothing... get a notification that the pizza was delivered.... "driver took a picture of the delivery" as proof.... it was a completely black pic. Pizza still not here. Pizza around here generally sucks if it's not in a chain... I'd have to go to Schenectady NY to get a really good slice for some reason.... so I gave this one a shot... and well... a bit of a miss. Maybe it's good pizza.... if the pizza made it and I didn't get snubbed with the mishandling of it, maybe I'd give more than 2 stars. read more

I grew up getting villa pizza and after living in the city, was excited to see that Villa is still here cranking out amazing pies. This is by far the best NY style pizza in the capital district. It's in the food court of the mall but it's usually not too busy. The team is kind to my kids and I love that you get a free pizza with every ten you get with the stamps on the box. read more

The pizza and food is a 5 star The service is a 3 or less...Everytime I order from them they're always on their phones. Been here in the food court an hour, he's still in the same spot on his phone. This is not your typical mall food court pizza place for a few important reasons. 1) Pizza is made from hand stretched dough 2) The pizza is tossed directly onto the oven floor without the use of screens 3) Bubbles are allowed to form in the crust and under the cheese, as they should That is legit pizza, and presumably why it came recommended to me in the first place. Not as an example of great pizza, but rather as remarkably good pizza for a mall. And I totally agree with that assessment. There are some technical pizza critiques for the slice. I like my NY style pizza slices super thin, and Villa Pizza delivers on that. However, they still have to be thick enough to be structurally sound after being crisped up in the oven. And both the slices I had from Villa failed that test. For this style pie, I like to see more lift in the end crust, and the pies I've seen from this pizza counter have unfortunately flat crusts. You may not mind either of these details, and that's fine. But when a slice of their specialty pie is four bucks, and even a slice of cheese is more than three bucks, I'm looking for a higher level of quality to justify the price. Not that it's expensive. It's just expensive for a slice of pizza. Three stars feels a bit too low for a place that's making pizza right. But Villa just didn't rise up to the four star mark. They've clearly got the basics down, but the structural integrity from a soft bottom crust even after an oven crisping, holds the shop back from being a place where I would take the fat, calorie, and carb hits of a pizza slice. read more

Don't let the fact that these guys are in a mall fool you. This is still my favorite true NY style pizza in Clifton Park. They have a limited menu, due to their size, but if you just want a good slice? This is the place. They also offer curb side take out. Don't be afraid to order a pie or two. The smoothie place and Hot Dog Charlie's were both COVID casualties, I'm praying these guys make it through!! There really isn't a close second choice for me. Pro Tip: these guys can't accept tips if you pay by card in person. Bring a couple of bucks to tip the staff. read more

This is your typical mall food court pizza place. Villa Pizza is part of a chain with many locations in food courts across America (and the world). This food counter has been around here for a very long time well before the transformation from Clifton Country Mall to Clifton Park Center. The menu here is similar to other mall pizza places such as Cosimo's and Sbarro. The menu offerings here include thin crust pizza, Sicilian pizza, & stuffed pizza by the slice or whole, calzones, strombolis, sausage rolls, salads, pasta, Philly steak subs, heroes, wings, fries, mozzarella sticks, Pepsi fountain drinks, and bottled Snapple beverages. The prices here tend to be a bit high, but fair since it's located in a mall. Just under $3-$4 (with tax) for a slice of pizza. They also offer a few combo deals (with drink) for around $8 with tax. They also offer 75 cent soda refills any size. Hot Dog Charlie's next door charges $1 for soda refills. I've eaten here several times over the years and the Philly steak subs are pretty good and the pizza slices I've had have been decent on each visit. Choose an available pizza slice(s) from behind the glass counter and it's quickly warmed up in the oven. Not too long ago, I ordered a Whole 16" Sausage Pizza ($15.99) for carryout and used a 50 percent coupon ($8.56 with tax after discount). My pizza was hot and ready in about 15 minutes. The sausage pizza was on the greasy side (napkins please) and had a decent amount of sauce, cheese, and ground pieces of Italian sausage topping. The thin crust was firm and chewy, but the texture on the outside was dry. Overall, the sausage pizza was not bad, but I would not spend $17.11 on a whole one topping pizza (I would possibly for a specialty pizza). $8.56 with tax (with Entertainment coupon) sounds more reasonable. read more

This was the only place I would choose to eat at when I was a kid shopping with family at Clifton Country Mall. And as I can remember it, the pizza taste the same as it did back in the1990's. I love the fact that they didn't change anything about the pizza. Now as I am older I would care for a little more sauce on my pizza but still a great pie considering all the pizza places in CP to get a pizza. I think the only think that is a down fall about Villa pizza is that they are in a mall and it is a pain to park the car deal with the "mall rats" at the entrance while going in to get your pizza. The staff is always friendly and helpful, if I lived in CP this would be the place where I would order my pies from. Consistent, consistent, consistent. Up until a few years ago when I ran into one at Newport Beach in California, I had no idea that Villa Pizza was an international chain. I always liked the place so I guess it was kind of cool to find it somewhere else. Since then, I've seen them at other places like San Diego and Fayetteville. I suppose it's a positive statement about the quality of the place if it doesn't come off as being a chain. It's pretty good pizza and I'd recommend checking it out if you haven't tried it before. I like the place. I don't go to it often at all, but I think it's a pretty solid option for pizza in the area. I would probably stop by more if Clifton Park and the surrounding area wasn't so supersaturated with pizza shops. read more

The pizza is decent, the service is horrible ... even by mall food court standards. After running my credit card, the cashier left it on top of the register, which is set back quite a bit from the counter. I had to reach over the counter (past the napkin and utensil trays) to get it back myself because the kid walked away. I asked for cups. The cashier pointed out where the napkins were. I got the feeling that no one was listening; they were just going through the motions & customers were an annoying inconvenience for the people behind the counter. Even though I paid before they made the pie, three different cashiers asked me at least twice each whether or not I had paid for it. I love Villa Pizza!! My favorite is to get a whole pizza. The pie is chewy, the cheese is good and there's not too much sauce. If you want it fast and a little crispier order by the slice. Although it's in a mall it's definitely better then mall pizza. I had lunch there the other day and the food was excellent! I personally recommend the cheese pizza and my husband recommends the philly steaks. The staff was helpful and friendly and the prices are fair.
