I've been using this company for the past 13 years. Over that time I've had them install, maintain, and service. Two furnaces, a hot water heater, central air, and a split system. 22 months ago my 13 year old furnace failed. Some of the blame can be placed on it being a budget furnace. Some of the blame can be put on the fact that as a member of their service club, my furnace and AC gets tuned up and checked annually. Well, because of their negligence, that didn't happen and I can't help but think that their inability to adhere to their schedule had some impact on the life span of the furnace. So we installed a new stage two furnace. It stopped working last week. I called them to check it out. Found out that the burners are rusted and that the vent system, that they originally installed on the first system, is inadequate. The system caused humidity and water vapor to build up I was told that the burners are covered under warranty but I will need to pay $950 for a new vent system and $200 for the service call. Let me get this straight: If the furnace was installed properly I would not need the service call, nor the replaced vent system. I've been going back and forth with them for a week and finally settled on a $550 price to get the job done. This work is scheduled to be completed tomorrow, but I woke up this morning to a cold house. I started calling at 6:00 AM, nobody picked up the phone. I finally reached someone at 7:09 and was told I would get a call back. We will see. I'm sure we will have to tough it out tonight, I'll make sure I put my experience in the edit. Suffice to say, tomorrow will be my last experience with this company. I will find a company that stands by their work. I will no longer refer them a d let everyone know how they treat their valued customers. See my email to the company: I still have a very bad taste in my mouth about the whole situation. I was charged $600+ on a newly installed furnace because Climate Partners installed the furnace wrong the first time by using a vent system from the prior furnace (which Climate Partners also installed). I spent way too much time pleading my case and was told that the new vent system was where the cost lies as PVC and the work needed is extensive. I bit the bullet because I needed this done. When the installer came, he cut off two eleven inch straight PVC pipes, and two elbows, then reattached two new elbows, and two new straight pipes. Total cost for supplies would be at best $25. Then he removed three screws, and turned the motor so it would match up to the new connection. The total time it took for him to do this was around 10 min. The rest of the time was spent installing the new burners and monitoring the new install, which was supposed to be fully covered. I also had to call Climate Partners back as the WIFI thermostat was no longer connected. Literally $25 of supplies, 10 min of service, mind you the install of the burners and the monitoring of the install was covered by warranty and I was charged $600+. All and all, I felt that this was a total rip off as everyone I spoke to, including HVAC professionals are amazed that your company wouldn't stand by the original install work. As you probably noticed, I didn't evaluate the work done because quite frankly, I don't believe anyone at your organization has any business ethics and really cares what your customer satisfaction. I was passed around pleading my case to various members of the your team until I was told basically to take it or leave it. Considering I've invested in my house with two furnaces, hot water heater, air conditioning system, thermostats and control board, considering I have paid close to $25,000 in investments through your company over the years and knowing that my AC system needs to be replaced soon, it was my hope that I would be treated as a valued customer. But instead, I was treated in a way that left me frustrated and powerless. I haven't spoken to my wife about this yet, but if I have my say, I will be using another company to service my equipment in the future, including any new installs. It is truly disheartening that I would be looking for a new service company to provide support to our family. I hope the $600 earned offsets the relationship broken, but maybe preying on customers who wouldn't know any better is the norm with Climate Partners, I don't know. I just feel preyed upon and it's not a good feeling at all. I am requesting that you share this with your team. Especially your owners. I want them to know how their LONG TERM LOYAL CUSTOMERS are treated. If your team cared anything about customer satisfaction, more care would have been taken in this case. read more

Had them servicing my home for about 2 years. Besides NEVER been able to schedule and appointment, every time they come to fulfill my maintenance program subscription, my HVAC system stops working (go figure). I stopped calling them as I found that their diagnose never (NEVER) is the issue and they keep changing parts unnecessarily and charging for things you do not actually need it. We went with a basic American Standard unit for our replacement. The crew led by Conor showed up on time. They laid down drop clothes, worked efficiently to remove the old handler from our tight attic and then replaced both components. Too many issues mostly dealing with their "project manager" Then owner Todd Casey finally worked with me to straighten out in a fair way the final issue but what a struggle! Took months and grief! As in GOOD GRIEF are they kidding? Horrible frustrating experience Plumbing service: Water stop valve and kitchen faucet replacement 1- Over price, needed to haggle 2- Not timely 3- Did not get contacted with updates 4- Did not keep mask on the entire time. (Had to remind to keep mask on. This is during Covid 2020. ) Came in for initial check and quote. Felt like auto dealer, the ASSociate had to step out to call the office to get pricing for each job several times. Felt like we were being forced to agree to a contract. We had to haggle down to which was the "lowest the company would go." It was still over priced but we wanted to get it done. In hindsight should have paid the $50 fee and went with a different company. Then they had to call back the office to check for times. Every step required the extra time to call the office which wasted an evening. On the day of the job which was schedule for 9A-12P window. There was a no show. Called the office and was told we were next and the plumber was held up at the first job and the first purchased valve kit was defective and was getting a new valve kit morning of. We were suppose to be notified that there would be a delay but was not contacted. Wasted a morning waiting. The next window was 12P-3P. At 2:45p still no phone call notifying plumber was on the way. Plumber walked to the door at 3:01PM. The jobs were to remove the old kitchen faucet, install the new faucet, and replace the hot water stop valve. He did not finished the physical work until 6:10. Then he took another 40 min to finish paperwork. He finally drove off at 7P. We were inconvenienced for 4hrs. Not easy with two kids under 5 and needing to disinfect everything after he left. Especially because he did not have his mask in the entire time! I needed to remind him to keep his mask on. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They will over charge you ($10k MORE than other quotes), lie to you about costs, and install things incorrectly. They installed a whole system in my house with NO PERMITS and NO INSPECTION. They left massive holes in exterior walls, pipes just hanging, crushed their own ducting, and ran un-protected electrical wires straight through the floor. Their system runs CONSTANTLY but can't get the house above 54 degrees even with the fireplace hot and multiple space heaters running full blast. Why am I paying a $500-$600 heating bill to still be freezing?! read more

Their customer support is horrible and unfriendly. Buyer be ware! First they never showed up for my annual furnace appointment and No call to let me know that they were not able to come. Then when they finally did come after I had to call and schedule a new date they told me I need repair work. They gave me an estimate and said clearly that if I had had a service plan that I would also get a 15% discount on top of this estimate. So I went and scheduled the extra work. That is when things declined.....They came and completed the extra work but did not honor the discounted price. I didn't notice it right away on the invoice so when I called the customer service line to ask for help on this they did not call me back. so I called another 3 times and my husband called twice himself with no call back. Finally on my last attempt they said they don't have any records of my calls and said that the invoice included the discount and you just don't see it because the repairman didn't note it. How lame of an excuse was that! I went back and forth with them that that is not true and there is no proof that a discount was applied. and that it has take 5 calls just to get someone to talk to me for them to tell me that they applied a supposed discount. The technician was very rude and condescending to me and said "well can rewrite the invoice to show a discount but the price is what it is." and "sorry if you misunderstood the cost ". So needless to say that after spending over $15k on a central air system they feel the need to nickel and dime me for $80 I will not use the company again for anything!! I spent over 50k to install whole house cooling/heating system with climate partners couple years ago. ​It is high end system the overall installation was ok, at least the system is working after several adjustments by their technician within one month. Now couple years passed, I found some misc issues cause me troubles. like air leak all over around new duck works and furnace they installed, I have to spend hours in attic to reseal the air leaks. wiring with hot neutral reversed and incorrect grounding. No filter rack installed on one of furnace,they just put filter in furnace without any holding. No condensation drain block stop on one system cause flood my basement. I paid top dollars for the system, but I feel didn't get the top rate service. Hope their technician get better. read more

We had a toilet backup and called this company for a plumber. After waiting for 3 hours I was told the plumber was in an car accident and would not be there. The next day he came at 11 and stayed until 3 before he told me his snake was not long enough. On Friday he was also here for three hours before he decided the problem was roots in the pipe. The cost to fix was 3100.00. After calling mr rotor who was there in an hour and had the clog fixed in 30 minutes I realized how inept they were. Will NEVER call again! read more

Had a whole new Hvac put in a few years ago. Never should have used them again after that. discovered a couple of weeks after install that they put in BTU unit then we contracted for. Of course they had to change it when we discovered it. Had them out again for a service call and he had to call someone else to help him out. This time we called to have a Smart Thermostat installed and system clean. They wouldn't give us a quote over the phone and schedused a morning appointment. Showed up in the afternoon and before he even came in, he called the office and gave us a quote of $379.00 just to install a thermostat. because they were so late we refused their service completely and told them we would never use them again. A/C Unit issue 1 started with water in the basement when 2 techs left without hooking up a condensate drain pump line to the new condensate reservoir so moisture drawn from the air can be pumped out of the home. That was my dime to pick up the water mess and repair myself due to water overflow. Other sppointment issues varied between loud humming from condensor to resetting the unit several times. Spent way too much $ on a new hvac system from climate partners but they were willing to do it the fastest among anyone that we had gotten estimates from. After acknowledging that part of the system had been installed incorrectly, they returned to "re-install"...months and months later we are dealing with issues with our system. Bottom line....new system...thousands and thousands later and wayyyy too much time spent hosting them at my home to "repair" the installation work they had done and half my upstairs doesn't have heat while the other few rooms get crazy hot. I called to have a pro-active sewer line clean out as I have a root problem that needs to be cleaned out once or twice a year to avoid backups. The technician who showed didn't have the correct blade for root cutting - just a spiral wire - more for freeing a clog. I mentioned this to him, that I had root problems, but he said it was all he had. He removed a small ball of roots and said he was done and then tried to sell me a $9,000 sewer line replacement as he said he found cracks during the visual inspection. I declined as I have RWA sewer line insurance ( plus the price was $3 - $4000 higher than previous quotes Several days later my sewer line backed up so I called Mr Rooter who showed up and properly cleaned the line. When I called Climate Partners for a refund, they refused saying my account was "green stickered" (whatever that means) The man on the phone said he agreed with me but his supervisor refused my refund. Chose to run a drain line from our furnace directly to a Y pipe on the sewer line and then use ELECTRICAL TAPE to attempt to seal it up. Even though it smelled of sewer gas, the tech claimed that will "go away in an hour". That's not how sewers work. That's not how plumbing works. These guys are clowns. read more

I have had Climate Partner for 4 yrs. I renewed a new 3yrs contract because I was happy with their service last 4 years. I had an AC, Heat pump, and water heater installed. However, it became very difficult to get an appointment and getting expensive. We had to replace something that cost us $2400 and the tech who came out to replace said that it was not necessary to replace but something else was a problem. We need to call them for three months to figure out what was going on. Nobody seemed to care. They said they would come out to look at the unit on Monday. They called me on Monday to say that they did not need to. Is it a joke? I made an appointment for a furnace maintenance appointment two weeks ago. It is supposed to happen today. They called me today and say that they have only one tech who knows how to deal with an oil furnace so they need to reschedule me and the new schedule is two weeks later. It is getting worse. I signed up in January 2022 to be a part of the 2 year Total Care Club and the rate was $499 + tax. This was supposed to include discounts on response fees and parts repair along with exceptional customer service (as you would be part of their exclusive club!) At this time, they also serviced my furnace and sold me parts that I needed. I turned my heat on for the first time this season and my furnace did not work! I was told that not having heat would be considered an emergency situation in the winter season. Nevertheless, Climate Partners would not come out until the next day around 3 p.m. I received no communication until I finally followed up at 4:30 the next day. I was told that they would arrive at 6 which then turned into 9 p.m. after I had to make more phone calls to remind them of the urgent nature of the service call (no heat for 3 days). Told by the tech that I needed a replacement control board but he pushed that I really should buy a replacement furnace instead. My furnace was installed in 2019 - it is brand new! They insisted that they would be able to replace the furnace first thing the next day if I wanted to spend $4,400. I opted to wait until the next day to receive a quote to replace the control panel. Unfortunately, the tech never took any information about the unit serial number so I was contacted by Climate Partners to leave work, go home and get the information for them! I decided to go a different route - I contacted the original furnace supplier, filed a warranty claim and picked up the control board myself. Finally, I felt like I was getting somewhere! Climate Partners had a contractual obligation to service my furnace anyway so I contacted them to request that they install the control board at the same time (30 minutes labor MAX). Shocking - they would not not be able to come out until the next day and they want to charge $450. This would mean that they think they are entitled to $450 per 1/2 hour of labor charges when they would already be at my home working on my equipment that they were already paid a club membership to maintain! I have never in my life dealt with a company with less integrity, communication or efficiency. I do intend to report them to BBB but I hope that anyone that reads this does not do business with this company as they are a disgrace to their industry and ethical business practices in general. read more

Wow, this company has really disappointed me. I've been a customer for years, and recently became a "club member" which is supposed to entitle me to free a/c and boiler tune-ups, as well as "free consultations." Well, it's time to replace my water heater so I had them out for a consultation. I paid $69 for that, and in the end just got a verbal quote for a "package deal." I asked for a breakdown of parts and labor and was told they don't do that. What? (The quote was REALLY high, too.) OK, so the next morning I remembered that I'd signed up for this club thing. I dug out the paperwork and called. I figured it'd be no problem - they'd look me up and refund the $69. Nope! I was told "free consultation" only applied to whole heating or cooling systems. What?? It does not say that in my paperwork. I was treated rudely, and told a manager would contact me. I am patiently waiting. If I don't hear from one, I will have my bank reverse the credit card charge. What a scam. Oh, and I had my ducts cleaned by a different company this summer, and they told me my A/C filter was clogged. Climate Partners had supposedly changed it just a month prior... hmm. Drop clothes were placed down to protect the floors. They cleaned up after the job was complete and even cleaned up debris in the attic that previous contractors had left behind. On a Saturday morning early October I called about 12 different companies to come take a look at our furnace because for some reason it wasn't starting up. Well well well....we were either given outlandish weekend prices just to come to our home or we were told they are completely booked for a few days. Climate Partners was our savior that day. It was around 9am and the gentleman on the phone said he would squeeze us in for about 7pm. I called around 9pm, he said yes I'm still on the list and that the tech would reach out to me when hes on his way. I inquired about whether or not I'd be charged for after hours. He assured me that would not happen because they are a 24/7 company. The tech called at around 12:30am. I didn't care about the time because we really needed to know what was up with the furnace. The guy who came was so cool and knowledgeable. He said he has been with the company for a few years. Turns out all we needed to do was flip a switch but it was located behind a panel so we wouldn't have found it. He cleaned our filter and did some other maintenance. We did have the gas company come and take a look the week after. Gas company said there is no CO2 leak....not sure what to say as to why we were told there was one from Climate Partners. Nevertheless, I was pleased with how they took care of us by squeezing us into their schedule and not over charging. read more

Extremely unprofessional. I called at 9am on a Sunday morning and was told someone would get right back to me. By noon I had not heard from anyone so called back and was given a window of time from 12-3. Again heard from no one and called back at 6 and was told they would send my message along. At 7 (end of the 3-7 pm time window) still no call and I called back. Was told someone would be getting back to me and I'm still on the schedule. Keep in mind they had strung me along ALL DAY!!! 9 am to after 7 pm I waited for someone to show up or at least call. Nothing. At 7:35 I finally called one last time and said if they are not going to show up in the next 10 minutes I want to cancel the appointment and want someone to come first thing the next morning. They said they had no idea when someone would get back to me and would put the request in for morning. This morning at 7 am I called climate partners back to find out when someone would be here-and was given a window of noon - 3pm!!! I explained this was unacceptable as I'd waited ALL DAY the previous day and no one called or came, and I had to work today and can't be here. I wanted someone here before 10 am. They said (again) they would put my request in. Got a call back from the owner (melissa) within 30 minutes telling me they will not accommodate me even though I waited all day the previous day because I cancelled the appointment after waiting over 10 hours for someone to call or show up! She claimed the technician was still 'planning on coming out' when I finally cancelled at 7:35 pm! I explained I'd been waiting over 10 hours with no call and wasn't waiting all night and I expected to be taken care of this morning first thing. Ive been a client of climate partners for YEARS. Basically climate partners blew me off all day Sunday then expected me to wait around again on Monday for them to show up. I get they were busy. So am I!!! Making someone wait over 10 hours then telling them it's they're fault they didn't wait even MORE time and that they will not accommodate them is extremely poor customer service and is unprofessionalism at its best. We used climate partners for over 30 years. We were told our furnace was putting out a high level of carbon monoxide and that we needed to replace the furnace and the central A/C system. We called in the gas company to check the furnace and they said there was nothing wrong with it. I wrote a letter to the head of climate partners looking for an explanation of how the two companies could have such different opinions. No response so we canceled our contract. read more

I called Climate Partners for a leaky toilet on July 27th. I explained the exact problem on the phone and had full expectation that the plumber would be coming out to fix it. Wrong. The plumber showed up for an assessment aka to confirm exactly what i already explained. This is not rocket science, its a broken flapper. Fine. He explained that the office is not able to give a price on a Saturday and that I would be called with a quote and to schedule an appointment on Monday. No one called me. I called myself that Wednesday and was promised a call back. I was called back after 5pm when I was driving home. My phone lost service during the call and of course no one bothered to call me back. I had to call again a few days later. I finally get to make an appointment for a Saturday 12-3 window. Plumber comes around 4:30 and without the required tools to make the repair. Complete waste of my Saturday and a toilet that continues not to flush for two weeks. Very disappointed. read more

I had to deal with a number of HVAC professionals in the last few weeks to handle a complicated oil furnace replacement. Out of a slate of credible candidates, the gentleman from Climate Partners was by far the most knowledgeable, transparent, honest, and pleasant to deal with. He did an extremely thorough job evaluating my situation, and spent a ridiculous amount of time on the phone answering my ridiculous questions about TITO testing, furnace nozzle flow-through, ductwork size, model designations, costs, etc. It was an absolute pleasure to deal with the main office as well, so both customer service and technician quality are absolutely great. read more

Stay away from this company, we had them out to look at our Central air conditioning unit, they looked at it, took all of 15 minuets with the conclusion that the unit was shot and we needed a new one ,cost 9k, the unit was only 14 yrs old, our next door neighbor has the same unit, in fact it was installed a year before ours was by Bobs air and heating, we used him to install ours. I asked the Tech Victor how he came to the conclusion our unit needed replacement, He stated that the r-22 refrigerant was low and there was probably a leak, for 333$ they would do a leak test, I asked if he checked the evaporator upstairs and he said it was fine, I can't afford 9k for a new unit and asked that they put refrigerant in the unit and check to see if the unit was losing pressure, he said it would cost 550$ for the Freon but couldn't do it that day, so he came back the next day and filled the unit, it only took 3lbs of refringent far less than his first estimate, so he adjusted the price, the unit was working fine and I asked him did you check upstairs to make sure the evaporator was working, he said it checked out fine, my wife and I were exhausted and went to sleep with the heat we could not sleep the night before, the house was nice and cool, the refrigerant was applied around 1 pm, by 7 pm the house was hot again and not cold air from the unit, I thought maybe the evaporator was frozen, I checked everything out and could not find anything wrong, I called climate partner's back and was told that it would cost me another 200$ for them to come out because it was the weekend, I was lot are you kidding me, I just gave 700$ to fix my CA and now you want 200 more, well that did it, the next day we had another company out and the tech found the problem with in 10 minutes, a coil in the evaporator up stairs in the attic was hissing, he said he heard it as he was climbing up into the attic, he took the panel off and refrigerant and oil was shooting out everywhere, he said there was no way the first tech checked the evaporator, if he did he would have seen the oil all over the coils, no dye test was necessary it was right there you couldn't miss it, I called climate partners back and told them I wanted my money back, they said the tech checked the evaporator, I said well if he did he would have seen the oil all over the coils, in fact the panel was never taken off because the sheet screws that hold the panel on were rusty and the second tech had a hard time getting them off, we argued back and forth and they agreed to give me back 200$, I told him not good enough, he said they put a lot of refrigerant in the unit 30lbs, really, the unit only hold 12 max so now whos lying. conclusion, all they want to do is sell you a new unit. Well the new company is installing a new compressor and evaporator for 5k, so you loose Climate Partners and one last thing, see you in court. read more

I'm not having a good experience. I got a 3 year contract which promises quick emergency service and when i had one they said they couldn't get anyone here till after 9pm. I'm waiting. With little kids in the house that's not great! It was working fine until i had it serviced for the season, at which time they found $700+ of repairs not included in the $500+ contract. And now it's over 80 degrees in the house and reads "system malfunction". Go elsewhere! Zero stars! read more

Run away from Climate Partners. Do not pause or walk. Horrible customer service! Once we signed the contract to switch from oil to gas they had an excuse for every mishap and delay. They did not solder connections used snap connectors not did they use any supports for the piping. Promised systems that were never delivered. When we called because we were not getting heat in one zone, we were charged for service even though the system was installed less than 6 months ago and we promised full year free service. Please find another company to deal with. They had promised so much and had delivered so little. Do not make the same mistake we did!!!! read more

Tom Casey and his Incredibly professional team that no only got us off of fossil fuels, but installed a state-of-the-art system that I'm truly convinced no one else could have replicated. I haven't used them for maintenance yet, but I'd have no reservations recommending them to a friend for any home heating, cooling or energy job big or small. read more

Climate Partners is a definition of a dishonest company ran by incompetent people. Botched our boiler installation, techs who come out for repair - don't know what they are doing. Charged $200 in addition to the repair cost for "system validation" just to guarantee the repair they made. 2 days later same problem occurs and when I ask to have a tech come up for a follow up visit- they are charging us for that visit- since I have to PROVE the problem is related to the previous issue ( nevermind the $200 system validation fee they collected). These guys may be the cheapest installers on the block ( that is why we went with them, unfortunately)- but don't be fooled, you won't be saving money over a couple of years. Just moved to guilford from hamden......def not used to this oil thing after having used gas....my bills sky rocketed.....owner of the company himself came to my house on a Saturday.....before giving me my alternatives he made adjustments to my boiler and furnace that would save me money...he then showed me a propane alternative, he negotiated on my behalf with the tank company and installed the system...the savings are outstanding....3 days later there was a storm and a pipe broke...I expected for them to tell me a few days minimum, or turn off the valve...they had someone dispatched and at my home in 45 minutes.....hate home improvement people, love climate partners read more
