Fun spot for the kids. A great choice for a birthday party. Some of the climbing was closed for repair. My daughter enjoyed the bouncy house and the slide as well. I think it is a great spot for a day off from school. It does tend to get crowded on the weekends. read more

This is like one of the coolest places ever. I could not tell who was having more fun; kids or the parents. There at s a couple of dozen themed walls to climb. The walls go pretty high. They have party rooms and tents for the kids. You are allowed to bring food and drinks in so that is a huge plus for kids events. So I am in my late 20s and this place is definitely for kids and teens. But the setting is definitely of a family-oriented establishment that has fun "rock wall"/rock climbing walls. Each one has a theme to it with many colors and different challenges. I've done real rock climbing before and this place was actually really challenging. Great and fun for all ages, especially the parents!!!!!!! Staff was extremely nice and will always make sure your safety and enjoyment comes first! Good experience. (It's hard to climb with kids and have them keep the masks on for 2 hours. I think that they should update their Covid rules to allow no masks while on the walls and when seated at the tables taking a break.). The place was clean and some of the walls were newer. We've gone here for both my girls' birthdays, one we paid for a party and the other we just took our family. Both experiences were great (we did go on a weekday, however, no idea how it is on weekends when it's presumably more crowded). My kids ages are 4, 7 and 10, and there are walls for all of them that are easy enough for them all to get to the top of. The staff is kind and helpful. It's pricey, but it's clean and the kids love it. The arcade is especially pricey, but they have some fun games (although I wish they had unlimited timed passes like at Chuck E. Cheese; the arcade added a large unexpected extra expense to the birthday party we threw because all the kids got tired and wanted to play games, but $10 cards are only good for a few games). read more

This is the most unique and original climbing gym I have even been to. As soon as I entered I wasn't sure if the walls were going to be hard enough for adults but after climbing my third wall (there are 75!) I was already struggling and there were a couple I couldn't even finish! If you are into rock climbing or climbing gyms you might miss the chalk because the walls can get very slippery (or maybe there were my sweaty hands). This place is amazing, all the staff is super friendly and helpful and the equipment is very easy to use (you don´t need to have a parter to belay like other climbing gyms). I love that there are bouncy castles for the kids under 12 (I´m kinda jealous there are not for adults too) and it´s included in the price which is affordable... $25 for above 6 years old. My suggestion, come here in the evening or during a weekday because it can get packed. read more

Recently celebrated my daughter's birthday there and while the children had a lot of fun, I wish we were able to pay for more time. The parties are only two hours, but waiting in the line to get harnessed and double checking waivers that were completed prior to the party, cuts into a lot of time. First thing I have to say is I couldn't believe that with this many people (it was PACKED) and children running around and climbing walls, there were no injuries or crying children from what I saw in just over three hours. Now that I've said that this place was a ton of fun. There were so many cool runs up the climbing walls. There were runs up the face of Mount Rushmore, up a skyscraper in NYC with King Kong at the top, something as simple as a cargo net, a clear wall that you can race a friend, a wall with an actual timer on it, a book shelf, a bunch of toy shelves with faux Star Wars figures, and so many more. The pulley systems they use seemed pretty safe and there were a lot of small kids using them without any trouble. They have a small area for 0-3 year olds, a couple of inflatable slides, and a bounce house too. There are a couple of party areas, but most people congregated in a big group of tables overlooking most of the climbing walls. I wish there were lockers you could rent, otherwise we just stashed our coats in cubbies and hoped for the best. Parking right next to ClimbZone is hard to come by but hopefully the other companies won't mind you parking in front of their buildings. Other than that, go visit and have fun! read more

LOTS OF FUN. The staff is great, instructions were easy to follow and straight to the point. This is a perfect date night, family outing, team building etc. place to go to. It is in an industrial area of Laurel surrounded by lots of warehouses but don't be alarmed. The interior seems very juvenile, for lack of better terms, because of all the different colors and designs but don't mistake that for any of these walls being "easy" It's a GREAT workout. I couldn't feel my upper body for the next few days but no pain, no gain right? Fair pricing, I do believe there are discounted rates for particular day/times--call to confirm as it fluctuates. As expected, it's a more kid-focused environment so anticipate a lot of children/teens. There is ample seating and some reserved areas for private parties. An inflatable slide thing too, although the kids were mean and did not take too kindly towards an adult invading their space as they converted it into a fortress. We called a week in advance of our visit and we're told homeschoolers get 25% off during the regular sessions as long as we showed "proof" of homeschooling. When I arrived, I was charged the full price. I told the cashier I should have gotten 25% off, and she said I should have reserved the visit online and needed a promo code?1?! I asked for the manager who repeated what the cashier said. After sharing my frustration of being told one thing over the phone and another upon arrival, the manager never apologized, but reluctantly gave me the discount. While the manager was processing the refund, I suggested they update the policies on their website to fully reflect their discount programs which was met with a very curt comment that they don't have to put everything on their website. I hope the business owners read this and know that their management staff is losing them money. If they were to let homeschoolers in during the day for a 25% discount -- without some stupid code -- it would be more money in their pocket than keeping homeschoolers away because of their steep $25/person fees!!! WOW -- some businesses don't have a clue how to increase revenues. I would have brought our entire co-op here had this been a different experience, netting them around $500 in additional revenue. But not after this terrible customer service experience. As a business owner myself, I can't support a business with a non-customer focused management team. read more

Wow. Just wow. This place is absolutely amazing! It's located in an industrial park in Laurel. GPS found it just fine. When you walk in the door expect to be immediately amazed. The walls each contain their own theme. From Tetris, to Washington Monuments, to space, and a soccer ball field you won't be disappointed. All the walls are uniquely created and amazingly hand painted! There are so many you can easily spend hours trying to climb all of them. Staff was super nice and extremely helpful. The manager was amazing and walked around and chatted with us about all the walls and which ones were more difficult than others. He definitely made sure our experience was amazing! The belaying system is all automatic so you can clip in yourself and don't have to depend on a partner to give you slack or help you down. Took my 3 year old and he had an easy time climbing up the walls. His favorite part was of course letting go and falling down. Price is around $26/adult and I believe $15 for 2 and over (if climbing). The price includes 3 hours of climb time and use of the three bouncers they have available in the facility. No special shoes or harness fees. The warehouse was equipped with multiple tables and chairs and cubbies to stick all of your stuff in. There were drinks (including espresso bar!) and snacks available for purchase but you can bring in your own food. For the little guys who aren't climbing they have a gated area with blocks and climbing pads so they can get some energy out too. And moms will appreciate that the bathrooms were family friendly and included a changing table as well as a nursing chair if you chose to use it. I highly recommend visiting! Even without the kiddos, it's a great date spot. The drive from DC is not bad and totally worth it. This place will definitely be in our rotation of fun family outings. read more

This place is awesome! Everything is so clean and well taken care of. I was so impressed with the painted details on all the climbing walls. Each one has so much character to it and it is fun to look at all the different ones. There are 75 walls to climb...some easier and some harder. It is so open and spacious here which I'm sure is even nicer when it gets very busy. They also have 2 big inflatable slides and one bounce house. They have a few games to play...air hockey, basketball ball and a claw machine. There are plenty of tables to sit and take a rest or eat a little something. They have bottled water and sodas available for purchase and some candy bars as well. They have a little area in the back to host birthday parties. We came during the week for their homeschool climb time and had the whole place to ourselves. We really had a great time! We stayed for almost the whole three hour window. Definitely going to come back again and spread the word about this place to family and friends. read more

Hands-down, a unique concept that is fun and challenging for older kids and adults that like to climb. Definitely worth the $25 if you get the full 3-hours...and that's where they get 2-stars from me - "I've experienced better" The website says "Reservations are HIGHLY recommended for weekends" and "Your entry fee entitles you to stay at our facility for 3 hours!" Nowhere do they say on their website or the email confirmation that the time you put on your reservation is when the clock starts ticking. Yes, I acknowledge that we got their late because of horrible DMV traffic getting their from Virginia, but don't argue with me that "your reservation says 12pm." I did the online waiver and printed it for your convenience, but it gave me no convenience. I reserved the time-slot (12-1pm), printed the waivers for you, but at least 2 families that walked in before me had harnesses before we were done at the front counter and they were guaranteed 3-hours. Conflict - your website states "The document will transmit here electronically so there is no paper to print" but why does my email confirmation say "To save time during the check in process, you can bring a printed copy with you?" Customer advice - unless there is a school holiday, I would call ahead and ask if you should reserve online. Otherwise, show-up, complete the waiver, get your full 3-hours, and don't get lectured about the time you reserved online. After they helped us put on the harnesses, the guy did not say "let me show you how to attach the safety rope," but instead of saying "sorry you did not hear that" you decided to lecture me and say "I was standing right there and heard him tell you and your family". When I brought my kids back over, they confirmed for you that "a girl at the walls showed us how to do it." Thank you for allowing me to stay 3-hours, but don't lecture me about my reservation time or challenge me when I told you nobody showed us how to attach the safety rope. Last thing - I don't think they have enough staff on the floor to monitor. The majority of staff in blue shirts is hanging out at the front counter or in the break-room. I would recommend using a different color like neon or one of the neon safety vests to make it easy to find a staffer at the walls. As a national franchisee, I think this is a great franchise concept from New Zealand but some simple improvements would make this a 5-star experience. No matter the price of your product, its the customer experience that counts. read more

I went recently for a birthday party. Right on time because I just made it a place of interest since I began to hear people referencing this place. Many walls to climb with different themes. Get into a harness and hook yourself right on up. Very user friendly. Party tents in the back, bring your own goods. Not sure of party package prices, but it was an awesome place to have a party. The host was very friendly and very good with kids. Though the tent walls aren't walls, but plastic barriers-- that wasn't a problem with the adjoining tents. Not with a party? They still have a few tables and chairs for patrons. Great activity for parents and kids. I believe there is a snack case. The kids came back to the tent with candy that they bought with their pocket change. Great as a total family activity. We were even planning as adults to come back without the kids, lol. We saw the smallest of patrons with harnesses on (still in diapers) out joining the fun! TIPS: +Please do your waiver at home. Of course people say, "Oh i'll do it when I get there!" No paper waivers, all on very slow moving iPads with about 4 screens to complete. I had 3 kids with me (doh!) +Is your kid afraid of climbing? It's a great climb for the kids and truly anyone of age. Some walls are a lot tougher than others. There are definitely easier walls for the kids to reach the top. Brought my son and his cousin here, my son is four, his cousin is ten. My nephew is a big sports kid, plays hockey, soccer, baseball, etc and is always one of the better players on his teams. His eyes lit up when we walked in, he did the quick tutorial and climbed half the courses while we were there. He can't wait to go back when he is in town again. They are very safety focus which is great, one complaint is I need to continually tighten my sons harness, wish they could have a harness that stayed tight. Our party host Shawnee, was so kind to us and very patient!! I love that we're allowed to bring our own food all our guests were able to eat to their hearts content! Great place for the kiddos to burn off some energy. It was packed on a Saturday which is to be expected. Check-in is a little crazy on the weekend. People were holding the door open because check-in is so close to the entrance. It's a little unorganized because lines are all over the place. $25 for three hours of climbing. They give you a wrist band with a time on it but don't seem to keep track of how long you have been playing. My two year did not climb, so she was free and had three bounce houses to choose from. Great option for the smaller kids. They even have a 3 and under play area. It's small but it is an option. After you pay, if your climbing you go see and instructor on how to hook yourself up. It's a quick tutorial. Climbzone offers a lot of different walls to climb ranging from easy to hard. They even have walls that allow you to time yourself to see how fast you climb. In the back they have three party tents. You supply everything expect for the tables and chairs. The tents are connected but that didn't seem to bother people. I took off a star because check-in is unorganized and they need more staff members on the floor on the weekends. Unfortunately some parents do not supervise their kids and they are running around and hitting other kids and the possibility of accidents. Overall a good place to have the kids burn off some energy. Weekdays are best if you can avoid the weekend. Law Enforcement discount is available. I'm not sure about military but definitely worth asking. read more

We were waiting for someone to harness my daughter. My daughter was the last on line. The " instructor" got up and walked away without even saying a word of " I will be right back" After I gave her a look - she then said she was returning. Once she came back she was cold and very terse. She is harnessing a five year old. At this point I am trying to be cool. She asked me if I had been hear before- I said my daughter has not understanding the relevances of the question. She is 5 and had gone with family member. She left and explained nothing to me. It was my first time with the harnest. I had not been there before. The service was pretty much the same from other people who barely could be bothered breaking their moments hanging out. This place is absolutely fantastic. It's got great fun for the entire family... and climbing the rock wall is so much fun, no matter what your age is! We went on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all. I can see how Saturdays would be insane with birthday parties. The staff were all super helpful. One of them, Lou, even helped support my son when he was afraid of trying the wall for the first time. He offered to buy him some candy if he was brave and tried it. Then he came back an hour or so later to ask what kind of candy he wanted, and let my son pick it out himself. I saw Lou pay for the candy with his own money and was just struck at how kind of an act that was... he wouldn't have had to do that, but did to help my son have a great time and feel safe. The rudest assistant manager Kendra works here. We took my daughter here to celebrate her 5th birthday a couple days early. My wife went to buy a pack of starburst for her, and Kendra yelled at her for putting the money down on the counter and called her disrespectful and rude. With covid protocols nowadays why would it be such a big deal for my wife not to touch hands with someone? Instead of treating guests respectful, Kendra thinks it's alright to be rude herself to paying guests trying to celebrate their kids birthday. When we were leaving Kendra is rude again to my wife. She ruined the experience for us. She should not be an employee there, let alone an assistant manager. What kind of example is she showing to her employees she is "managing". read more

Mac from ClimbZone worked with our birthday party group last Sunday. He was AMAZING! He was a great communicator and the preschool-aged kids loved him. He was there supporting us from start to finish, even helping us carry heavy items to our car in the pouring rain with NO UMBRELLA! Customer service like this is very hard to come by. Kudos to Mac and to ClimbZone for a one-of-a-kind party! This facility is a hidden gem! My 5 year old daughter and her classmates enjoyed climbing, but also had a ball on the slides and in the jumpy houses. My 9 year old son had an awesome time climbing. He was patient, very kind, engaging, and kept things in order. The kids responded very well to him and he was really helpful at answering questions from the adults. The space is great for any kid - climbing, bouncey house, bounce slide, and games. While climbing is the dominant thing to do, there are options. The instructors (Antonio) give the kids and anyone participating a full tour and tutorial on using the harness and straps. If you're not looking to commit to a whole good purchase, you don't need to! Climbzone is so much fun! This place can be for both children and adults! Our Women's Fitness group came out here to try our hand at rock climbing. We wanted to start off as easy as possible. For us, a lot of the walls were a challenge because we just couldn't grip those pieces. Meanwhile, one of my friends 9 year old kid was climbing the wall like it was nothing. We tried to plan out where to go from down below but when you get on the wall it was a totally different story. Regardless, we still had a great time. We would go again! We hosted a kids' birthday party here. Everyone on staff was incredibly helpful and nice. I was not worried about anything going in to the party because many details had already been explained by staff. The space was set up really nicely, with a real chair for each child and tablecloths and paper products already in place. The staff did most all of the set up and clean up. We had a dedicated staff person to check in our guests and get them harnessed to climb. Everyone said they had a good time! The climbing walls themselves are really interesting and the kids had a blast. Would definitely reccomend! read more

This place is amazing. It's so perfect for your kids (and you too). It's cost $12 for 6 year old and under and $25 for above 6 year old. We can play non stop for 3 hours for a session. They have more than 20 climb walls that you can try one by one. They will give you a short briefing on how to use the equipment and other stuff for your safety. They other good thing? They have a shelf to put your stuff in and you are allowed to bring your own food and snack. They have quite big rest area right in front of all the climbing walls. Which is very nice just to sit for few minutes, get some water and play again. They also have a little baby/ toddler playground to keep them busy (since they can't climb all the climbing walls yet) We'll definitely come there often during winter.
