Talk about a classy place. Old school steakhouse vibes. Great service and delicious food. Im sos stuffed I need someone to roll me out of here. Its pricey but I do think it was worth every penny. Come hungry and dont be afraid to share the food with your group. Portions are huge.

Husband and I had a date night last night. It was overall a good night. The waiter recommended the halibut and it didn't disappoint. The fillet was HUGE and flaky and so yummy. My husbands Zambuton was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Most of the entrees don't come with anything so you have to get a side separately. We did the 3 sides for $33... broccolini (not my favorite), Mac and cheese (sooooo good) and a loaded baked potato they dressed table side. Big portions. I wish they had more options for mocktails and desserts... Overall, very impressed and our waiter was super nice.

Taylor was amazing and old fashioned she created was delicious. The burger on the other hand came out well done instead of med rare and the bottom bun was soaked through with grease, which made the burger a real mess to eat. I would try again but only for a different food item.

The service was on par! Server was attentive and patient with is when we asked for pics. Some people ordered steaks and it was cookeed to their liking, the others and myself had the king salmon it was delicious. It was a nice set up where the bar was in a seperate room from the dining basically behind a glass door. My only complaint was thtere was not enough parking.

Awesome service with classic steakhouse vibes! We splurged on the Tomahawk and absolutely loved it. Cooked to perfection with the perfect balance of seasoning, but not too much to overwhelm the incredible meaty deliciousness of this cut. The Panna Cotta dessert was outrageously good as well. Will definitely come back to this place.

Pricey but worth the buck! Food was great, menu sections are decent, and service was good. Restaurant was clean and had a good atmosphere. Customers kept coming in and traffic was steady. Tried the Wagyu Steak Sandwich, Caesar Salad, and Cheesecake. All tasted great but that Wagyu Steak Sandwich.... AMAZING!!! Why Four Stars??? The Wagyu Steak Sandwich was over cooked. I ordered medium rare and got well done.

When I saw a steakhouse in the lobby of my hotel, I was sure they'd have a good burger. Well I was wrong. It was the epitome of mediocre and the French fries weren't worth the calories. Also, I love spicy food and serrano chilis but ordering one on the side for an extra dollar, along with mushrooms, almost killed me. I like spicy but this felt like a personal attack. I wish I remembered our server's name because he was the best part of my dining experience. I'd say the second best part was the ambiance. The wood covering most of the restaurant made it feel very old school. But will I eat here again? No I will not.

I'm surprised that this place has an average rating of just 3.6. maybe I just ordered the right stuff. We were a group of 15 but my review is specific to me. Drinks - So I'm on a bit of a dry Q1 so been experimenting with what I drink while all my colleagues drink alcohol. I got a soda, with crushed mint, serrano peppers, lime and a tajin rim. Glad they could accommodate it and it was great. Appetizers. Got the beaf tomato dish. Haven't had it before but loved every bit of it. If I'm being a bit picky, I'd say they could have presented it better and not made it a challenge to get individual servings Entre - ribeye, Pittsburgh style with back blue cheese brulle. Firstly I'm glad the server knew what I was talking about about and secondly I'm glad they could do it. It was perfect. Well marbled, right temperature, color and seared just right. Great experience overall

    Jameson's Ginger Smash

Even with lots going on in the area, we were able to get a table without a reservation. The decor is warm and inviting and the booth seats were comfortable. Mark was our server and did a great job. He explained the menu and specials and welcomed us as it was our first time here. Unfortunately the food and beverages were a bit disappointing. My Jameson's Ginger Smash was refreshing but the Vanilla Old fashion was smaller and a bit too sweet. The Scallops Rockefeller were tasty but $32 for only 2 is a bit pricey. They came on shells with spinach, fresh garlic, and smoked pork belly. It was a good flavor combination. The house soup, smoked cheese and broccoli, was way too thick. We thought we were eating bowls of gravy. I loved the Strawberry Feta Spinach Salad topped with candied walnuts. The Wedge had plenty of tasty pickled onions, tomatoes, and blue cheese, but lacked bacon. We did like the fact that there are pepper grinders at each table.

Looking for a late night meal, we headed over to the hotel restaurant. Chicken Pot Pie. It wasn't all that great. The crust was too hard and dry and the filling didn't have much flavor. Vibes were nice, as well as the staff.

Celebrated my birthday early with dinner at Spencer's. Everything was delicious! We ordered the smoked steelhead and halibut cakes, ribeye with mushroom & cognac sauce, smoked gouda mac & cheese, and broccolini with romesco sauce. Bread pudding for dessert (not pictured), of course. For drinks my husband had an old fashioned and said it was one of the best in town. They have a surprisingly sizable mocktail menu so I tried one made with Wilderton Lustre + Bittersweet Appertivo and it was so good! There are a few parking spots conveniently located right in front (DoubleTree Hotel parking), otherwise you can park in the garage and they'll validate it. Highly recommend Spencer's for your next celebration, date night, or happy hour!

But that was all that was great. It seems that everything is cooked on the highest temperature. We got hushpuppies and whipped honey cornbread for appetizers. The hushpuppies were dense and while they lack flavor - I did enjoy the sauce that came on the side. It was spicy and had a nice flavor. Although it was obvious they do fry the hush puppies and fish in the same oil. The honey corn bread was burned and tasted of burnt oil. It was oily and had a strange taste and was overwhelmingly sweet. (You'll find that burnt is a common theme.) My Cajun burger was good but the buns were burned. The meat was juicy and had a nice flavour. The fries were seasoned well and were crispy while being soft on the inside. The pork ribs were decent. The sauce was nice. They weren't fall of the bone tender, but still tender enough. The coleslaw on the side was very sour and spicy. It was more like spicy sauerkraut rather than coleslaw. The seafood boil was underwhelming small especially for the price. The shrimp were overcooked. The clams were very small. The muscles still had beards. The potatoes and corn were cooked nicely. It needed more salt and sauce. The sweet teas came unsweetened and while it did came with sugar on the side - the grains were too big to actually stir in. And I would like the mentioned that my cup of water had black specks floating around in it. All in all - I wouldn't return.

We did the 15-course tasting menu, and every single course was absolutely incredible. The food was creative, beautifully presented, and somehow each course managed to surprise us. From the service to the little details throughout the meal, they made us feel genuinely celebrated and welcomed. It felt like they cared about the occasion just as much as we did. The atmosphere, food, and hospitality made this so much more than just a great dinner -- it became a part of a memory we'll never forget. We'll be talking about this night for years to come, and a huge part of that is because of the incredible experience Gander & Ryegrass gave us. The foccocia sandwich was delicious (I had the eggplant one) but the bread was thicker than I'd like and the insides didn't stay in the sandwich after the first bite. I ended up eating the insides only. The broccolini had a lot of dressing. I liked the flavor but being a strong caesar, I'd recommend going lighter. Bonus: I got a sneak taste of their Bloody Mary and I definitely need to go back and get the full portion. Being house made, it tasted fresh, flavorful and nicely balanced. A rare find.
