They each had their own hygienist and sat in chairs next to each other. My 3 year old was okay doing it by herself, but I helped hold my 2 year old. There were no xrays/no separation as described in other reviews. My daughters' teeth looked great and I wasn't sold any unnecessary procedures. I think the experience may vary based on dental hygiene practiced at home. I limit sugar, my kids rarely have juice, and We brush at least 2x a day, floss, since they were less than a year old. That's not to say they also didn't get their dad's good teeth genetics because mine are awful. I guess the takeaway is, if you have specific concerns, you should address they before the visit. She explained ever part of the process to him so that he understood exactly what was going on and how everything would feel as she performed the work. He was in the chair for almost an hour but was completely at ease and relaxed thanks to her kind and compassionate nature. My son is usually not good with anything that even sounds painful but we had no issues during any of his visits. In fact, even after having a tooth pulled, he still isn't afraid to go back and I think that speaks wonders to Dr.Mann's abilities as a pediatric dentist. My son was very excited to see that they have tv's with tons of kids channels, funny sunglasses, and many cool scents of laughing gas to help make the visit as painless as possible.
