If I could give this place zero stars, I would. To start, I brought in my favorite boots that had about a half inch hole directly on the seam. I asked if they could fix it and he said it would be tough but he could do it. When I went to pick them up, they couldn't find them after 10 minutes and said they needed more time. I had my mom pick them up after they found them and she knew they weren't right. I called them immediately and they responded that it was really hard to fix and he tried his best. His best was cutting out the material on the inside and then glued the seam together, with random stitches over and across with thread hanging...which I could have done myself. The glue now shows up white on my black boots and the seam is crooked. He said he had to go outside the seam to make it work. Most places that aren't able to do the job properly would at least call and ask if you'd be okay with them doing something different than what was originally expected. To make matters worse, when I called and asked for my money back, his response was "ok yeah, I owe ya" and hung up the phone. So I went in and requested that he reimburse me. He did, but instead of simply apologizing, he made excuses, blaming it on the boots. Poor workmanship and terrible customer service. Don't waste your time or money.

This was my first experience with Clinton Shoe Repair, and I will definitely be a return customer!! After reading other Yelpers reviews I was a bit leery, as they seemed to be split down the middle. However, my experience was top notch. Not only did they repair the strap on my Coach backpack that needed to be repaired, they also reinforced the other one. For seven dollars I know I'll have many more years of use out of my purse. Plus the turnaround time was only three days. And, it was ready when they said it would be.

Am I glad I dropped in there. I have a very (once) nice old leather back pack that was in total shock. Dried out, scuffed up and basically ready to be pitched. Guy looked it over an advised a new $6 polish that would do the trick. I cannot believe how it came back to life. It looks great, like new. (wish I would have taken a before photo)

This kind of craftsmanship is usually dying off, but fortunately, the father has taught his son well, and they should be here for the long term!

Couldn't believe it... but I figured well at least they'll be done and look good, Nope I was wrong couldn't even make a straight line Went past with the epoxy further than I told him to(I even marked it off with tape), what a horrible job on a brand new pair of boots and then charges me $69 almost what I paid for the boots themselves. he should refund me. Never again.

Owner said no can do on 2 purses & wasn't worth the price for heel on 1 boot. I left 1 Coach purse, 1 Ugg boot, 1 leather boot. Price was $60.00. Said he'd call me when finished. 3 weeks later, no call from anyone so I went in. He shrugged when I let him know I had been waiting for a call, (I'm a nice person, I wasn't accusing or attacking) - oh well... no acknowledgement. Not even a glance. Nada. Only 1 boot had heel attached & zipper on 1 purse. The Ugg, he said, could not be reattached. Price $55.00. That's 2 items, not 3, (I'm attaching heel to Ugg w Monkey Glue as I write this. The hole in the purse I can stitch myself). Customer service can be challenging, I get that - guess this style works for his business. Here's one ex-customer happy to find some other shop. Absolutely will not return. Absolutely not.
