I called this morning, but only got voicemail. Undeterred, I will write my review. Many years ago, I had a nice pair of cowboy boots crack along the out side of the lowers. This has happened in the past to other pairs of boots I had and I really wanted to salvage these boots, if possible. The primary cause is they get wet, dry out, and then crack. I do not remember the amount of time, nor the price for repair, but what still sticks in my mind is that I was extremely satisfied with the repairs that were made. I gladly paid the repair bill, and over the years, the repairs have held. I recommend their services and hope to use them again as soon as they can open for business. read more

AWFUL customer service. I see the father taught the son how to be an A** to the customers that has kept them in business for years. We quit going 20 years ago for the snotty and rude manner of the owner. Finally said we would try again and low and behold, the son is ruder than the father was. Awful experience with his dog. I have a right to ask that the dog be moved, I was once attacked, and then to get a smarta** remark. Then to see the workmanship is so shoddy. Did not fix my shoes like promised. I had purchased a fancy pair of open-toed wedges online for my daughter's wedding. When I got them the band of rhinestone material that went across my foot right before my toes was very snug and I didn't think the shoes would be comfortable to wear for a long period of time. I took the shoes here and for a small fee they stretched this band just enough so that the shoes were super comfortable. (I was highly skeptical that this band could be stretched because it was all rhinestones, but he said they could do it and they did!). I wore the shoes to my daughter's wedding and danced all night! A year later I wore them to my son's wedding as they were perfect for his wedding too. I have since referred my friend who had bought a cute pair of shoes online and never wore them because they were a tad too tight. Clinton fixed her shoes and she loves them. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. To start, I brought in my favorite boots that had about a half inch hole directly on the seam. I asked if they could fix it and he said it would be tough but he could do it. When I went to pick them up, they couldn't find them after 10 minutes and said they needed more time. I had my mom pick them up after they found them and she knew they weren't right. I called them immediately and they responded that it was really hard to fix and he tried his best. His best was cutting out the material on the inside and then glued the seam together, with random stitches over and across with thread hanging...which I could have done myself. The glue now shows up white on my black boots and the seam is crooked. He said he had to go outside the seam to make it work. Most places that aren't able to do the job properly would at least call and ask if you'd be okay with them doing something different than what was originally expected. To make matters worse, when I called and asked for my money back, his response was "ok yeah, I owe ya" and hung up the phone. So I went in and requested that he reimburse me. He did, but instead of simply apologizing, he made excuses, blaming it on the boots. Poor workmanship and terrible customer service. Don't waste your time or money. read more

I brought in a pair of Louboutins that a former "friend" trashed. The heels were destroyed. I dropped them off on Tuesday, and they told me I could pick them up on THURSDAY!! Two days?? Too good to be true, right? WRONG!! I picked them up that day, paid 8 dollars, and have a brand new pair of shoes! They look amazing! I dropped off a pair of shoes for a shine. I felt the service was very friendly and the price for the shoeshine was reasonable. They provided what I asked for when promised. No complaints on the shine. However, the folks who work inside definitely smoke inside because when you walk in the front door you can smell it really bad. I actually walked out smelling like I had been inside a bar in the 1990s. I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to smoke inside a business anymore but I'm not sure who actually enforces that. Easily would've been five stars except for that smell. They also sell a bunch of T-shirts in there but I can't imagine that anyone would want to buy a T-shirt that will smell so bad. read more

I love this place! This kind of craftsmanship is usually dying off, but fortunately, the father has taught his son well, and they should be here for the long term! Not only do they do outstanding shoe repair, they've also resoled a pair of my 1890's antique leather boots to perfection, replaced handles and wheels on my suitcases, and sewn the ribbons onto my daughter's ballet toe shoes. Great place! I had a shoulder strap on an expensive Brighton purse brake. Brighton wanted me to ship it to them (at my cost)! They would of charged me $25 to $35 to fix it. Then it would of taken 4 to 6 weeks to get it back. I took it in to Clinton Shoe Repair and they had it fixed in 3 days and the cost was under $10. They did a fantastic job! read more
