I mainly eat their wings and speciality drinks during Winter Fest but have been ordering them through grub hub for work as of lately. I've seen the wings change from mediocre to delicious now that they've added the sassy sauce, because you can never go wrong with sassy sauce. And the wings are bigger! At work I've been ordering the tenders, which are worth the money. I can never finish them all. The first time I tried the tenders, they were extra salty and my friend and I could only eat a few with water nearby. I've ordered since and they weren't as salty which was great. Me and my brother's girlfriend decided to go to this bar Saturday night for my brothers birthday. When going to this bar I was stopped by a manager named Mike who told me that I could not wear Adidas in his pub. I've been to this place previously in a Tuesday night wearing the same pants and did not have an issue at all. I always have a blast at Clinton Street Pub!! The service is fast, and the bartenders are really nice and personable. Most of all, everyone at CSP knows how to have fun! They have a great DJ every Thursday, Friday, & Saturday night. He always plays my requests and caters to the customers desires, just like the rest of the staff there. The happy hours are a great time to unwind. They definitely have the best specials and cheapest drinks out of any bar in downtown Syracuse. Plus, it's a great place to watch your favorite sports. I decided to go here on New Years Eve and they had a charge of $20 and there excuse was because of the amount of extra alcohol they had, when I had asked at the front door and then my friend who arrived 10 minutes later said that he was told that it was the "well known special DJ" that they had for the night which is very questionable especially when I had asked for a simple long island drink which didn't happen because they ran out of a specific liquor for it and the music I would say was alright because it was just radio music really. read more

I don't know what happened to this place but it went from a super cool and relaxed places to a very scary encounter. It's a bunch of random sorts of people which typically I love, but then there were some very questionable characters lurking around and then we came back again the next week and it's like no we're all set. Honestly I love this place. Great atmosphere, really homey, beautiful family establishment. Just a wholesome place in general, especially when I saw they had "truffle" skins. So I'm at home trying to find a nice meal for the weekly gathering with my posse to watch American Horror Story: Apocalypse (great show btw. Really outdid itself this season) especially because it's the season finale and the stakes were high and so was the pressure. Btw truffle is my fave thing in the world so when I saw It i was all excited. Turns out... I was wrong. They gave me a few flappy potatoes that I barely would even call a potato, with a bunch of fries?????????? Then threw some mushrooms on it like it's the gosh darn enchanted forest or something. I don't even taste the truffle!!! Oh there's also some sautéed onions. I don't know what that's about but ok. Last I knew potato skins were like cheesy, delicious, enticing but then I got these bland potato corpses just thrown into a salad of French fries. Whatever I just thought you all should know my night was ruined. And if you're ever looking for a good French truffle meal, CSP is NOT the place for you. Darn smh. I tried to go into this bar on 1/13/2019 with my friends. They immediately denied me entrance because I was wearing track pants. They bouncer said they have a dress code and that individuals with sweat-pants are not allowed. I don't see anything to do with this in their "casual dress code" sort of description of a bar. Good job, you lost a paying customer and I will for the forseeable future tell people about their worthless consideration to paying customers who couldn't be bothered to allow someone into their bar over a pair of pants? My wife and I arrived at the pub around 6:30. The pub was very busy and as we were walking in two people were leaving the wall the area beside the bar with small shelf style bar with seats. I grabbed those seats and ordered drinks at the bar. About 10 minutes went by and a couple left the bar so I grabbed their seats. We ordered two beers and got menus for dinner. About 15 minutes went by and we were waiting to order two more beers and dinner when a waiter came up to me and said he had to take my chair because it belonged at a table in the dining area! I thought he was kidding but continued with this unbelievable request. I advised him we had been sitting there at the bar for 15 minutes in the same chair he was requesting. I asked if he could get me another chair and he said no you can wait for someone else to get up and get that seat! I couldn't believe it. Probably the last time I go there. I never write reviews but stewed over this for a few days and still upset. Very unprofessional! read more

Bar was awesome at first! The girls working the bar were great and provided excellent service. Cheap beer too which of course is all that matters to many of us. It all went downhill though at closing time. Everyone was escorted out immediatly and it seemed like no one was allowed to use the bathroom. The owner was basically sitting by the door as people were being escorted out by "security" pretty much saying "I own this place now get the f*@& out" as people were herded out into the cold by the completely unprofessional bouncers. I get that bars have closing times, but to completely disrespect your patrons who have spent a good amount of money throughout the night right at closing time makes for a really bad after taste. Would NOT recommend this place for airline peeps or anyone else until management can learn to treat their clientele with the same respect their bartenders seem to. read more

Food was amazing. Service was awesome. We came from outnof town not knowing the area too well, or the restaurant. We were advised there were no servers for Sunday's and that all orders are for the bar only but the bartender still waited on us and was extrnemely pleasant. The food did take a little while to come out and because of that she stepped up and apologized bringing us out our appetizer saying that she made it and our food would be out shortly. She also comped our last beer because of the error. The food was delicious full of flavor and came out hot. It was also very affordable. Would definitely recommend this place and go back next time we are passing through the area. read more

The worst service I've ever had!!!! Unprofessional and rude bartenders and poor management!

One of the worst experiences ever. I was there with a group of friends to watch an SU game. We had a table. Before the game started, I had to take an important phone call, so I stepped outside. When I went to go back in, the bouncer refused my entry and told me I had to wait for the 20 people at the door to get in first. And they all could only get in one at a time as people left. I explained that I already had a table but he didn't care. The wait at the door seemed like it could be the whole game, so rather than stand in the doorway behind 20 people, I left my friends and my night was spoiled. Atrocious customer service. read more
