Working with Clint and John has been an absolutely amazing experience. We came here for my wedding and they made this a special and fun experience. Extremely patient and extremely knowledgeable about what's in, what's timeless and what's classy. We've been to other rental places around for other weddings and Clint's is 100% the most reliable and has the best looking suits around. So my son dropped kind of last minute that he wanted to go to prom in 9 days. After taking location and reviews I to account, we decided to come here. Well the 5 reviews were not without warrant. We were walk in and there were two other parties ahead of us. We were welcomed and asked if we were there for pickup or to rent for which the latter we replied. In about 10 minutes my son was being measured and tried on pants. Then took further measurements, asked him what style pants, shoes and tie he wanted and all then tried on a coat jacket. Very efficient and friendly service and said they could have ready day before prom for pickup! Prices are very reasonable and appreciated they offer shoes in bundle if needed. This was first time renting a tix for my oldest so if and when his younger two brothers go to prom I the coming years, I will most definitely be brining them here! read more

My fiancé and I were having the hardest time finding a place for a tux rental and he ended up stumbling upon Clint's just a few weeks before our wedding! CLINT'S TUXEDO SHOP IS THE GREATEST!!!! Clint saved the day when the Tux I ordered from another company, for my nephew's prom, did not arrive on time. We went to Clint's the same da,y and he was able to get my guy "Suited and Booted" in an outfit that was better than the one I had already ordered! After rereading a wedding invitation I realized it was a black tie event. Not owning a tux, I started searching for where I could rent one. Thank goodness I found Clint's Tuxedo Shop. The numerous positive reviews written here are spot on. I got fitted for a tux, but on the day of pickup I realized I had made the mistake of pointing to a suit right next to the one I wanted. Despite it being my mistake, they quickly altered the correct tux I wanted to rent - same day and charged me only a fraction of the price difference between the two. Incredible service! The person at the front also took extra time to help me select the right fitting shoes. Don't even waste your time reading anymore reviews or researching where to rent a tux from. Just go see Clint, he will take phenomenal care of you. We had a special black tie event and I was feeling really stressed because my husband is super picky and on top of it he isn't an easy fit. The minute we walked in and spoke to Clint our stress just vanished. Hands down, extraordinary customer service! Pick up day and return day was smooth. Clint and company are absolute experts and walk you through the entire process. I told Clint about the event I was attending and when the even was and we went a little into what I was hoping to arrive in. I selected a jacket style I liked from the show room and without a single measurement taken, Clint materializes a jacket that fit my broad ass shoulders and waist immediately. Man's been doing it a long time and I am very much impressed by the way he was able to look and just know what would work for a dry fit. I came back two weeks before the wedding, got my measurements taken and specifications down for the arm length and pants etc, then picked up the rental a couple days before the wedding. For anyone in need of renting a tux, this is the place to go! I've looked at everything that's offered, from chain rental shops, online rentals, and other rental shops, there isn't anywhere that provides the styles and options like they do here at Clint's. When I first came in, they were able to get me measured and fitted in a tux within a few minutes. They showed me some different options they had since I preferred a slimmer pant leg. I came in a few weeks out from my wedding to place my final reservation. You could tell Clint has been doing this for a long time and he has an eye for the details. Pickup was quick and easy. The same can be said for drop off. My wife and I were coming up from San Diego and were cutting it close to closing time. We gave Clint a call to tell him that we might not have been able to get to their shop before they closed. He told us we could just return it the next day, but we still wanted to see if we could make it. It was 5 minutes before they closed when we gave them a call to tell them we were almost there. We luckily made it just on time to their shop, but that's only because they waited a couple of minutes for us after closing time. Clint and his employees are very accommodating and friendly. We would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking to rent a tux for any occasion. read more

Established in 1975.

Chuck Jordon of Aaron Charles Formal Wear and Clint Sunderland opened their Buena Park store in March of 1972. Clint took over sole ownership in 1975 and changed the name to Clint's Formal Wear. We have established ourselves over the past 40 years as one of the "premier" fashion, wedding, prom and special occasion rental stores in California. We not only have a huge base of loyal customers. Many return with their children and grandchildren saying, "We got our (prom and or wedding) tuxedo's here way back in the '70's." Before the appointment, I clearly stated that we were not looking for a traditional quinceañera dress, we were interested in a ball gown. They asked me to text them pictures of the dresses we had in mind. After I texted pictures they assured me that they had plenty of ball gowns options. We drove 6 hrs to get there. We arrived 15 minutes early and there was a line to get in, but they got us in right at 10am. We got assigned a personal assistant. They told us to pick our top 3 dresses so my girl can try out. All dresses on display are traditional quinceañera dresses, if you are looking for this style, this is your place. If you have in mind an elegant ball gown this is not the place. We lost 2 hours there with no choices for us. After their show, we told them that we didn't like any of the dresses. 2-3 more sales girls came out and showed us dresses in their back room, their ballgown selection is very limited. They put a lot of pressure on you to pick a dress and they don't give u a time to discuss as a family. They go in the back with your girl and brain washed them into a dress. My girl liked only 1 dress but I knew it wasn't "the" dress. she was overwhelmed by all her "-assistants", we were there for almost 5 hours, the next set of appointments was almost over and we were still there. My family was tired, hungry and ready to go. We ended up buying the 1 dress but we regretted 100%. I was ready to walk out empty handed, but they persuaded my baby girl to say yes to a dress that she liked but not loved. Please don't let them pressure you, take your time and it's totally ok to say NO. If you are not convinced, don't let them decide for you, keep looking there is a perfect dress somewhere else.

There's a good variety of items, from antique teaware to accessories. Vintage clothing and jewelry are in good condition and reasonably priced. If, like me, you appreciate carnival glass, a couple of booths toward the rear hall and downstairs have some beautiful Fenton pieces. There are two sets of stairs to access the lower level, one on the left/middle by the front entrance, and the other by the hall leading from the rear entrance/parking lot. Some vendors' staging is very well thought out and it adds to the enjoyment of the experience. I think this place would be fun to return to with fellow antiques enthusiasts, but also to find quality gifts for friends and family. I noticed that staff are on a first-name basis with some of their regular customers and this is a welcoming environment I'll be more than happy to return to time and again!

The lead time for a tailor is about 3 weeks, that's the only down-side... so it is best if you plan ahead of time before your actual wedding date. Located in downtown Santa Ana so there is street parking, but there is a small lot behind the building with only 5-6 spots.
