I had a grooming appointment for my labradoodle and the results were horrible. They cut all the hair off his ears and body which looked nothing like the picture I showed the groomer. The groomer said he was really matted but we took great care to keep him brushed since our regular groomer took ill and had to cancel the appointment. The only request they honored was keeping the fur on his tail. But they add real insult to injury, my dog suffered a considerable cut on his neck. I didn't noticed until the next day. There was dried blood and perhaps some type of ointment they may have put on it. Beware of this place. We only took our dog there because we were desperate. And our dog suffered because of it. He was uncomfortable for at least 2 weeks. We took him to the vet and we were told that he'd heal on his own, which he did. But we had to get medication for an ear infection which we believed was induced by all the pulling they did to remove the hair from his ears. Never again!!

Charlie says it is hot, when am I getting my hair cut!

I may have two closer Petsmarts closer to me but this was the one we started our pup at and he is comfortable with Ms. Beverly. Usually I have a shaky pup but once he sees her he will calm down. It's hard to get an appointment at times but we just wait patiently.

Diana took care of my Vinny so well. It was his first time seeing Diana. She was very thorough in his grooming and he said she made him very comfortable. . She took time with us when we picked him up. She gave us suggestions on how to care for his fur & skin and didn't push the upsell too much, which I appreciated. We made our next appt for Jan w/Diana. Vinny is looking forward to it.

Let me start by saying that I'm one of the pickiest people ever! We got our puppy Lola, a Golden-doodle during Covid and we adore her! We started taking her here for just a simple trim around the eyes and such. Well, Lola had her first big haircut today and I'm very happy! She's been seeing Tyson from the beginning and we LOVE her! Tysons very thorough and precise, plus Lola feels very comfortable with her. Thank you Tyson for making Lola's first big haircut a win. We appreciate all your hard work!!!

This is my favorite Petsmart! I feel extremely comfortable with all the employees here. The employees are very welcoming. Their is a Petsmart near me but, I drive 20-25 mins to this ONE! The one near me is 10 mins but, I hate that place! I would not recommend the Petsmart near me (((9041 Snowden Square Dr Columbia, MD 21046 United States) Just Trust me on this! I feel very comfortable with my baby at this Petsmart! (((9200 Baltimore National Pike Unit C Ellicott City, MD 21042 United States) If you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy grooming at this location, I recommend you booking the groomer named ((("Maureen" ))) She is a older woman that has so much experience with grooming your dog! She has very gentle hands and a soulful heart. (*I don't know her personally... just as a groomer) She's a very sweet and loving lady overall. Plus, she does an amazing job on my pup every time. I am a very picky when it comes to how my pup looks, Maureen always exceeds my expectations. This is my 3rd grooming with Maureen at this location. Their will be more appointment with her in the future. I always try to find times when she works because my pup seems to feel less scared at the groomers when she is grooming her. My pup has only been groomed by her and will ONLY be groomed from her. If she isn't working the day I want my pup to be groomed, I guess my pup will have to wait when she is available! *** I really recommend you calling in or booking online for grooming appointment because they are booked quite fast at this location! Thank you, Maureen for caring and grooming my pup with tons of love and kindness! This Petsmart is very clean and the they variety of fish and they seem to take very good care of the fishes. I have been at a lot of Petsmart and this one so far has the most healthiest looking fish and cleanest store.

The sitter stays a while after the food, water, and paper are changed to make sure the birds aren't acting weird, and I hear that some singing goes on. Despite me typing up a whole instruction sheet, he insisted on walking through again just to be sure (which is very reassuring). The actual pet sitting was spectacular. The pet sitter who was assigned was Kim. She spent plenty of time with the cats and made sure they were well cared for while I was away. The visit reports they leave are really cute as well. Could not have gone smoother! I'd also like to add that they were available with very short notice (3 other pet sitting companies were unable to handle our request). Also want to add that Stewart (when he came for the home visit) was wearing a mask and gloves to protect against COVID (a welcome sight). Pet owners would should have their minds at ease if they select Love Those Paws. If I go on vacation again (few and far between these days) I would definitely use them again!

Our very first interaction was great...his energy was wonderful...he did not disappoint! The photos that I received were Ahhhhhhh-mazing, I mean impressive...only to learn that he's a photographer as well...but I digress. The Boyz are spoiled and I have no shame in stating this...*smile*. But they needed to learn manners. I have two large and very strong Standard Poodles - Mr. Brown and Max. They're extremely smart, pretty obedient in the house, but a huge challenge on walks...my poor dog walker. I wanted to be able to take them anywhere without the extended conversations of sit, stay, what are you doing? you know better... etc. At any rate, I'd been following OLK9 Maryland for some time online. I knew that training for two dogs was going to be a budget buster. Thankfully, I was able to take advantage of the "Black Friday" or "Cyber Monday" (can't remember which one it was). I cannot say enough about the great experience I had...the Boyz were happy to see Craig each day which was a HUGE relief for me. Yes, additional work/training on my part is required...to me that's a no brainer. As a responsible pet owner, I want to make sure that there is consistency and an expectation that my Boyz are well behaved and well mannered. Which means I have to do the work. Funny, as I was driving home from our final session, I was so tempted to take them on a short walk because I knew it would be enjoyable. But decided to wait until morning... I'm so excited to be able to have an enjoyable walk with these guys... less scolding and more bonding. Well worth the time and financial commitment. Thank you OLK9 Maryland for bringing additional joy to our home... things are definitely more "manageable". I'm really looking forward to our walks, especially since there will be NO more pulling! Can't wait to be able to take them to the "brick and mortar" with me once it's open! "Life Changing K9 Training"

I was desperate to help my dog and myself and Off Leash K9 had good reviews. What these folks didn't tell me was that my dog's reactivity, what I thought was outright aggression, was actually fear - that she was scared of all of these things and trying to protect herself from them. So with the use of the e-collar (really just a shock collar let's be honest), I punished her every time she showed a fear response at Off Leash K-9's direction. This definitely changed her behavior, but rather than helping her feel more comfortable with the things that scared her, we instead punished her for being afraid and taught her to hide her fear responses. I wish I had looked at the science behind dog behavior, because I now know research shows that punishment through things like e-collars, buzz collars, spray bottles, etc. are incredibly counterproductive to changing dog behavior long term and they seriously traumatize the dog. I'm so very grateful to have met a Fear Free trainer who taught me about positive reinforcement. It has improved my relationship with my dog immensely and it has ultimately lead to the sustained behavior change I was looking for. Please do not waste your money on abusive, ignorant training through Off Leash K9.

We adopted a rescue dog and I immediately signed him up for a basic obedience class as more of a bonding experience than anything. Karen's company came highly recommended to me by the rescue group. The dog was wonderful, but leery of my live-in boyfriend. The foster mentioned that he had shown some nipping behavior towards her husband initially, but during the meet and greet, the dog was fine with all of us. Well, we started to have some problems with him. He was becoming very aggressive towards us and downright scary to be around. I made an appointment for a pre-training assessment with Karen due to his behavior. Karen made us feel comfortable from the second we met her. She is very down to earth and a "tell it like it is" kinda woman (which I loved!) I very much appreciated that she was honest and didn't try to sell us on a promise or dream that may not come true with an end goal for the dog. She said that I could reach out to her anytime with questions or advice and that if we decided not to keep the dog, we could still receive a full refund for our training class. In the end, the dog went back to his foster family. I was incredibly sad, but know he will be happier in a house without so many people. Should we ever end up with another dog, I will schedule classes with Pups in a heartbeat!

Not only did our class helpe us refine our basics in distracting environments, but it also made us a lot more confident for the CGC, and I can't wait to take the class and test. I definitely prefer Petco's training methods too- we've been to Petsmart as well, and at Petco I have more freedom to work in my own training style with what we're learning. Petco also has superior safety protocols in place, including a three feet rule between pets! This both impressed me and made me feel great about taking Lucy here because I knew she wouldn't be getting harassed by another dog. Whether you're looking to socialize a new puppy, work with an adult or senior, or hone the skills you already have, Petco is a great choice. It's very clear how much the staff knows, and how deeply they care about every single dog that walks through their doors. Over the past few months, this is the fourth daycare we've tried for our dog. The first one we chose to leave. The next two either wouldn't accept her or ultimately asked her not to return. Our dog is an over 80-lb American Bully, and she truly doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body. We started daycare and boarding when she was about 8 months old. At nearly 50 lbs already, she was placed with the large dogs. In this large group play, the challenge wasn't aggression; it was that she was young, playful, and didn't always understand when another dog didn't want to engage. Two facilities told us they couldn't keep her in group play because other dogs would become reactive when she missed social cues and it wasn't safe for them or the dogs. After the second rejection, we reached out to friends and were highly encouraged to try Pet-U-Cation. We were told upfront that the training and care are exceptional, but as a small business with limited overhead and office staff, communication can sometimes require patience (which has also been our experience). Her evaluation went great. After two day-training sessions, she became a regular at daycare, and she absolutely loves it! The growth we've seen in her socialization and ability to read other dogs has been incredible. It's also reinforced the training we're doing at home and helping her overall learning and development (consistency really is key). We love that there is no more coming home from daycare with newly acquired bad habits.
